He was asking how to do texture mods; you linked an animation mod.

I vaguely remember how to do it, just don't have time to type it down atm.

EDIT: VVV That's what I meant.

well at least it's something, and when you have the time if you weren't already thinking about it mabye you could make a tutorial on it.^ ^

    TEXTURE MOD TUTORIAL

When making a texture mod, start by having a party that consists of both the character you want to give textures and the character/whatever you want to take textures from. You also have to activate the code in the room you hacked it in, though you can go whereever you like once it's activated.

For this tutorial I'll mod Sora to have some of Donald's textures. Once you've got the characters you're texture modding, start up EmuHaste.

Then hit "Snap process". Now click on "File dump" to save the information you just snapped. Then open the file dump with PS2Dis.

We'll start by finding Sora's texture adresses. The first step is to find his "heartblock". Heartblocks are located relatively far into the code, so I recommend you press "g", and then type in "01000000" as the adress. This will take you to adress 0100000. Now press "Shift+3" to search. We're looking for Sora's heartblock, so we'll search for Sora's UCM digit, "0054".

In the upper right part of PS2Dis' window, you can see some information about the adresses' values. You can see when you are at a Heartblock, because there are (usually) 5 lines - the first being the UCM digit - where the 3 bottom ones have a @-mark in the upper right window. These 3 lines are the pointers for models, effects, and animations. Textures are part of the model, which is 3rd from the top. Double-click on it and copy the value. Then hit "g", paste the value, and hit "Enter".

We are now at Sora's model "overview" (not sure what to call it). In the upper right corner, you should see some information such as p_ex and tim_@. Click the "@" in tim_@. Then copy the value, and once again hit "g" and paste that value. This takes us to where the texture adresses are located.

To find the "correct" adresses, you need to look in the upper-right window for "0." in the left side (look at the image to see what i mean). There are usually several of these (4-6 normally, as I recall), though exactly how many depends on the character. The first one is always a sort of "master texture", which 8as far as I can tell) determines how the textures are placed on the model, and what color palettes they use. To see exactly what the rest of the adresses are, you can try inserting random values like "00000000" or "FFFFFFFF" and see what has changed in-game.

Here's an example where I used "20940374 00000000" (which means I used adress 00940374. because I'm modifying the entire value field, the first digit must be changed to a 2). As you can see, this adress is the texture most of Sora's clothes. I'll be using that.

I go through the same procedure with Donald to find out which adress has the texture for his clothes. The adress is 20D55794 and the value is 00D659C0. I now copy the value "00D659C0" and paste it as Sora's clothes value. This gives us the code "20940374 00D659C0".

And this is how that code makes Sora look. As you can see, it looks very messy (pretty much all texture mods do), especially because I didn't change Sora's "master texture". This means that the game is using Donald's texture, but it is using Sora's color palette.

You can also mess a bit with the value to change where the texture is placed. 20940374 00D659C0

Changing this part of the value (increasing/decreasing) moved the texture up/down. This controls vertical placement

Changing this part of the value (increasing/decreasing) moved the texture right/left. This controls horizontal placement

Huh? Nothing of all this works. First of all if I type in 0100000 it automaticly change into 00000000 and the Shift+3 doesnt work either

You're supposed to search using the UCM-value. The 01000000-adress is just to make it so you don't have to search through 15 adresses (starting from 00000000), but rather maybe just 2-3, because the heartblock is pretty much always located after 01000000.

    EDIT: VVV It's 0239

The only way to do that would to use animation modding which would be DMA ^^
