Square-Enix has confirmed that Kingdom Hearts II.5 will make an appearance at this year's Jump Festa. The HD collection will have a trailer in addition to a playable demo. The demo in question will have the following segments available to play:

    Kingdom Hearts II
    Halloween Town
    Beast's Castle

    Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep
    Ven: Castle of Dreams
    Aqua: Radiant Garden
    Terra: Enchanted Dominion

Square's official site also provided the following images:

Unfortunately, it seems Square has no plans of showing off anything new related to Kingdom Hearts III at the event.

Ugh, shame that they pushed away showing content for KH3 in favor of KH 2.5. Granted, it's not a bad alternative, but I was hoping to see possible announcements of the worlds to be appearing in the next installment.

      But quite exciting regardless.

Honestly, if I had to pick between showing a game in its (very) early stages, or an HD collection that is already full of content ready to be shown, I think the obvious choice would be option #2. Besides, there's always a chance for a surprise trailer (something Square-Enix did a lot of in the past).

I really doubt they have anything new to show for KH3

I'm pretty sure it was confirmed for 2014. Actually, I guarantee you it will come out in 2014.

Does anyone know whether or not it'll exclusively be for the PS3 or will it be downloadable to the PS4? I know that the PS4 isn't backwards compatible with the PS3, but I've heard about those games that have been released for the PS3 that have been converted to the PS4 for some sort of emulator type deal. That being said, does anyone know whether or not HD1.5 and HD2.5 will be like that for the PS4? I want these two collections but I'm getting a PS4 for my birthday and an Xbox One for Christmas, and it'd be ridiculous to buy a PS3 just for Kingdom Hearts remakes. But then again, it would be about the third time I've bought completely new systems for Kingdom Hearts. The only game I've had for almost a year now for my 3DS has been Dream Drop Distance.

I think you're referring to Gaikai, which is a service supposed to start sometime late 2014 to allow PS4s to be backwards compatible with some PS3 games. I'm not sure if the HD ReMixes will be included in the list. As a matter of fact, there hasn't been an announcement on any PS3 games slated to be included with the Gaikai backwards compatibility. It's still a bit early for that.

A little disappointed that we won't hear anything about KH3, but I totally understand why so that's okay.
BBS is looking good from what I can see.

BbS's upscaled graphics already look considerably better than the pixel-haven PSP version. It's much more noticeable than KHI/Re:CoM, though I guess that's to be expected since the PSP is a lot less powerful than the PS2.

Can't wait to play BbS again in all its glory. It will be a huge step up from the handheld experience. <3

I think that's the nicest thing I've ever seen you say about BBS

Im just a little disapointed that 2.5 is exclusive for PS3 :/ Getting a PS4 eventually but it's not backwards compatible and KH2 was definitely one of my favorite games in the series and even attempted to use an emulator to play the final mix version... but failed x_x

It will be with the Gaikai service I mentioned about earlier. It's just a matter of whether or not the HD ReMixes will be one of the games slated for backwards compatibility.

Looking forward to finding more on this, and actually playing it. Thanks Libre!

I wonder how many of these nice looking shots from these pics won't look nearly as good in the game this time around like they did in 1.5.

So many scenes that were supposed to look better than ended up still being about the same.

But then again it's content that's technically not new to the general public. I'm not really trying to ask for a new full trailer or something, but perhaps like a small press release of some photos and Disney world concepts or something. The cat's already out of the bag, so Square really shouldn't be allowing things of this case to be let aside at this point.

So you're saying HD collections shouldn't even be marketed? What kind of thinking is that? Simply letting the cat out of the bag is not enough. It's still a product they're releasing, and regardless of how old the content is, they gotta let the public know. They did it for 1.5, they're doing it for FFX/X-2, and they should do it for 2.5. Don't get me wrong, I'd love for there to be new KH3 info as much as the next guy, but I'm trying to be realistic here. The game's still in its early stages. All we have for footage is some beta game play in Twilight Town released a mere two months ago. I highly doubt they could've revealed any more at this event. Hell, I remember KH2 didn't get much new info for about a year after it was announced.
