That still doesn't make sense. Multiple people asked what was complete on the patch, and it was clearly said that almost everything was done besides Hollow Bastion. If the patch isn't complete, that's fine, but they didn't reply saying "Only Destiny Islands, menus, and items are done." which is what I'm experiencing.

First, real quick, voices in the Final Mix games are English by default. Something about the Japanese wanting to hear the English voice actors, or something. :p

About the patch itself, there are 2 states: A "stable" ("complete") and "unstable" ("incomplete") version. Whenever I post a link, it's to a set of stable files. But most of the worlds aren't "done" yet (they have alignment issues, untranslated lines, etc still), and are still unstable. And as you could guess, the unstable, incomplete files haven't been tested very well yet; they're more likely to cause the whole game to crash. Stable files shouldn't crash (and if they do, please report it with whatever you know ;)).

As for why I only link to stable files: some unstable haven't been re-aligned (ex: text could be off screen), some people don't know how to report a crash ("It crashed, pls fix."), etc. If you're willing to get the extra unstable files, you're likely to help a bit more when something goes wrong.
Now, if you wanted to add the unstable files anyway, it's not hard. Especially if you're using the Zipball builder thing I made.
    1. Start with a working setup from the Zipball thing. When you run "KH1 ISOMaker.exe", you should get a new ISO with the stable files.
    2. Go to the incomplete Google drive folder: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B6ZFKy3tB10GZXV2VEJmaFgwcHM&usp=sharing
    3. Each folder is a world's files. The number before it is a rough "state". The lower the number, the more that needs to be done to that world. (See "Phase info.txt" for more specifics on the numbering.)
For each folder you want, download all the files inside it.
    4. Take the ARD files out of the folder, and put them in the "import" folder. You'll see a bunch of ARD files in there already, for Destiny Islands, the Colosseum, etc.
    5. Build like you did the last time. (Run ISOMaker with the ISO in the right place.)
Unfortunately, only a few worlds are done-done. Most of the game is actually translated, in some state, though.

Okay, so the patch that I downloaded (http://goo.gl/QvXq2I) is "stable", but basically is just Destiny Islands, menus, and items? But if I swap those ARD files into the stable version's import folder and run the ISOMaker on top of the already stable patched ISO, it should add the unstable translations onto my current ISO? Or should I simply put the ARD files in, then run the ISOMaker on a clean Final Mix ISO?

I'm fine with running into errors and helping you guys out with bug reports. I can always take my save file, play through the broken part on a clean/stable ISO, then jump back to the unstable ISO and continue on with my same save file, correct?

Yep, pretty much. Just put the ARDs in next to the stables, and patch a clean ISO. ;)

Gotcha. Looking through the Drive, I totally understand now. There's quite a bit done, things just aren't completely tidied up and error free yet.

Thanks for the quick help. I'll be sure to report any bugs I come across. Planning on 100%ing everything (on Proud mode, no less...), so I should be pretty thorough.

EDIT: I don't know if any of you care or are aware of it, but one thing I noticed was that sometimes the text in speech bubble on Destiny Island wouldn't be completely in the bubble. As in, a line of text would continue instead of breaking down, and would we visible out of the side of the speech bubble.

Not a big deal by any means, just giving a heads up if no one was aware. Sadly I passed that part and don't remember the exact places it happened. Once when you're giving Kairi the first set of supplies, I think (logs, cloth, etc).[DOUBLEPOST=1390363119][/DOUBLEPOST]Awesome, worked like a charm.

Still seeing general untranslated bits here and there in Traverse Town. Some chests (and other item gain texts) don't say "Obtained [ITEM]", and instead say something like "[ITEM]VII" and some gibberish. Also, item descriptions in the shop are all gibberish.

No "bugs" or anything major so far. Are those untranslated bits already known, just not done yet? If you want, I could message someone in detail what I find that isn't translated (so it wouldn't just clog up this thread). Or I could just keep things to just bugs and major things.

    Lemme know, thanks again!

I am having the same issue. It looks like you gave up on the matter, but I will post here for the sake of trouble shooting. Googleing "Iso was never finalized" returns only one hit and that is to the post I quoted so this is not a common thing. I have followed the directions. After that failed I also tried to run the Iso maker as administrator and also to try it in xp compatibility mode. Those things did not work. At this point I assume it is an issue with the ISO, but I don't have acces to another one to test.
Here is an image of the problem along with the contents of my folder.

EDIT: I will add that I am using Vista SP2 and that the iso does work with pcsx2.

I'll look into that over the next few days (school slows me down a bit ). Thanks for the screenshot though, the version # (in the title bar) and the "debug" text at the bottom help the most with this.

Are you guys sure you followed the instruction properly because I haven't had any problems with the actual making of the new ISO, make sure you have the files in all the right places and named the ISO correctly. Sorry if this isn't helpful but sometimes small mistakes can be made like that and it always help to double check.

since you're the only one who responded would you tell me how many files there must be in the original iso, that there must be in the import file, for the case of iso and import there must be 3302 files[DOUBLEPOST=1391258691][/DOUBLEPOST]I understand the problem but do not know how to solve it, the problem is that in my iso iso missing many files that are listed in the document hashpairs.log. I have 16 files in my original iso fact the kh1isomaker hangs on blank.idx why not find al.wtd and the rest. I tried the extractor imgextract.exe but I extracted all the files, it hangs at number 63 hanging the machine I left to go but will not unlock for this turn off the computer. you know how to take these files or at least you can put your download iso mega and give us the address where to download it so we too can play

There should be five folders within the import folder which you get from downloading the Zipball builder so those you shouldn't need to worry about then you should have all the files from the incomplete and complete folders on the google drive next to those five folders, there are 235 files in mine, i do not know however, how many files are in the original iso, i just know that i have downloaded all the complete and incomplete files for the patchmaker and it has worked

Sorry about the delay, I don't have as much time on weekdays anymore.
The "Attempted to read or write protected memory." is a semi-known problem. I had it reported before, but it ended up fixing itself before I could find out why it happens. It shouldn't have anything to do with the ISO though.
I'll try to take some time today to see if anything looks off, and link a "test" version here; see if that works for you guys.

Also, I doubt your ISO is missing files if PCSX2 can play it. KH1 has a ton of hidden files, thousands of them. (Though that extraction hang does sound weird, if you can maybe post a screenshot of that.)
In fact, the blank IDX step doesn't even need a file, which is what makes this whole thing weird...

Edit: Ok, can you try the version attached? Just put all 4 files in the folder, replacing the old "KH1 ISOMaker.exe". If it errors again, screenshot and post again, please.
This might fix it, and in case it doesn't, it should tell me more information on the "type debug" screen.

Success! I can confirm that it completed the creation of the new ISO and that the new ISO is playable on PCSX2 and that the menus appear to be properly translated for me. Unfortunately school slows me down a bit as well and I wont be able to properly play the game for the foreseeable future so I can't test it more than this, but thank you for this.

Out of curiosity what was wrong?

That's good, I'll update the zipbuilder to use this one then.

As for what I did: I rebuilt the program, without changing a single thing. Hence why I have no idea why it happened to begin with. xD

Edit: Updated ZibBaller to use the non-crashing versions.

Just wondering how you are running it
I have lockup in Wonderland when you first drink the potion used original to get a past and loading again walk out any door near queen of hearts and still locks up

If anyone need the hex elf back without the wide let me know and yes tried to go a past the same without and with same guessing alinement might be causing problems since it is still P1

It is also best to play with speedhacks off and VU compatibilties set to EXTRA for this translation test. To rule out any PCSX2 errors.
