Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix Translation Patch (In progress)

And i just created an account i don't need so that i could follow this, this is gonna be awesome

 

We are at a temporary halt. We are working on multiple projects and figuring out file formats.

Ehh, I can't say that... I'm being a bit lazy lately. Sorta stuck on the "Need to translate Japanese, but don't know Japanese" part..... xD
Maybe I'll get the KH2 texture modder finished later... I got a reader working, but it seems the palette is shared between them (3 different textures refer to the same palette, but starting at slightly different offsets). I'm guessing a optimization, but makes it a huge pain to edit.

Edit: Also got a stereoscopic version of PCSX2 running :P.

 

1.5 was supposed to have 3D support. Wonder what happened?

I would like to say thank you to all the guys working on this project, you are doing the KH community a huge service and will probably never realise how many people you'll make happy

 

it would have cut the res in half and dropped framerate. Honestly if they think 60 FPS would ruin the feel then 3D would be the sameway so they thought it would. I think its just locked away in the game.

 

It seems like they are doing the dame with the FFX HD remasters too. Such a shame would have been awesome to experience it in 3D on the TV. Still can, but you would need a powerful PC and then again the improvements will be absent

where from and how much is actually done?

 

Like darkman said, how much is finished, exactly? Like, all the menus and items perhaps? And do you guys think it'd be playable so far?

 

its playable every world is trasnlated except Hallow BAstion and i am going to trasnlate that as soon when i get there in 1.5 hd remx only play on PCSX2 for now some reason patch wont work on the ps2
. the whole beggeinging is working on the ps2 till the point to Heluases world . everything after that wont work for some reason

So should i only patch the iso with the files in the "completed files" folder, or should i use the files in the "incomplete files" folder as well?

 

A quick way to try out the patch:

1. Go to http://goo.gl/QvXq2I and let it load, it may take some seconds. When it's ready, click "Download file".
   This app takes the latest files for both my patcher and the files in the Completed folder. It will auto-update whenever a change is found. ;)
   
2. Extract the zip file somewhere you'd like.
3. Put your Kingdom Hearts 1 Final Mix ISO in the extracted folder, and name it "kh.iso".
4. Double-click "KH1 ISOMaker.exe".
   It should give you a little info, then say "Press enter to run using KH.ISO..."; Press enter.
5. Let it do its thing.
   It's making a new ISO, and leaves your "kh.iso" untouched.
6. If all went well, you should see "New ISO finished! Press enter to exit..."; Press enter again.
7. You now have an ISO patched to our Completed folder: "kh.NEW.iso".

As for how much is translated, I downloaded the current zipball, ran it, and recorded a quick run-through:

Menu's are pretty much done, maybe the stray mistake (do tell if you find one ). Again, this is just the completed folder. In addition, there are a few screens gumi-related that I have partial translations on, but aren't done yet; so they're gibberish here.

 

Looks great, thanks. Haven't played through KH1 for a few years and i don't have a ps3 at the moment so this is perfect. I'll let you know if i see any errors along the way.

 

ok thank you so much just one more quick question, with the cutscenes are they english dubbed, are the subtitles translated or both?

 

All cutscenes have their translations from the english version of 1.5 so everything is accurate the the exact same
