Sorry guys I haven't been on in a while. Work's been killing me lately. I just got a google drive email from crazycat about the whole deleted files thing. Which is strange, because I could have sworn I locked my completed ard folders. I do have backups of my own stuff so I'm not worried about anything getting deleted.

Figure it out on your own, you illegally downloaded the game. No one should be obligated to help you.

Has anyone ever seen these models before in Kingdom Hearts? Obviously, not Sora, Donald, or Goofy.

Heads up: New SLPS file posted in Completed Files section of drive. It includes the EVT fontfix.

 

Those models only appear once in the game. You can only see them after you seal Agrabah, before you leave the world.
There is also a woman that's a recolor of the lady from traverse town in the room where you first meet Jasmine.

Their models are xa_al_1030.mdls, xa_al_1040.mdls, and xa_al_1070.mdls.

There also is a model I've never seen in game, it might have been cut. It's a bald man with a walrus mustache wearing Aladdin clothes. His model is xa_al_1050.mdls if you care.

K so I stalked you a bit on the PCSX2 forums and you mentioned you integrated the matrix hack as well as the EVT fontfix into the ELF.
Testing it out now and the EVT fontfix works perfectly, but you seemed to have messed something up with the matrix hack.

With no cheats enabled, textboxes still looked stretched. Even enabling the matrix hack in the pnach gave no results.
But here's the kicker, I added the matrix hack pnach to my unmodified japanese backup and it works as it should.

So you must've modified the ELF is such a way that you'd need to find new matrix codes now.

Either that or I'm crazy. Yell at me if I screwed up.

 

I also put in the textbox fix, which resets the text boxes to their stretched state. Look at the value at 204951D0 in cheat engine (make sure to right click->view as hex). It should be 3FAAAAAB (equivalent to x*1.333) in my version and 3f800000 (~ x*1.0) in the normal version.
I left it stretched, since that does give us more room to work with. I can change it to any number needed, though.
Btw, you can change that value live: it instantly updates opened textboxes. And again, it's a 4-byte float.

Just so you know, we're not done yet. This patch is made for developers, people helping to make it.
It will be easier to apply once we are done, but until then you're on your own.
I'd rather worry about problems with the game than people trying to figure out how to "test" it.

Also, at this point, if you just read this thread start to end you could figure out how to do it. I've personally written a few step-by-step guides, and I know a few others have as well.

And arguing or yelling (CAPS), once again, don't really make us want to help you. But I'll just ignore that this time......

It's not what you're asking, it's how you're asking, and on top of that, what you're saying along with your requests.

You admit to pirating the game and try to justify it with "Well, I'm not gonna spend my money on it..." when people tell you how that's a ****** thing to do, you say "Okay fine I'll buy it later guys now tell me how to do it." which is completely missing the point.

I'm calling you spoiled because rather than just saying "I don't have money for the game so I'll save so that I can own it and enjoy it" you're coming into this thread saying "Guys i don't have money to buy it but I don't want to wait so take time out of your days to write instructions for me so I don't have to wait."

It's insulting to what everyones doing in this thread - expecting anyone to stop whatever it is they're doing so that they can bend over and provide for you. It doesn't matter how easy or difficult something may be, how long or short it may take, or any other thing.

The issue is that you came into this thread, couldn't figure it out, and then started complaining for several pages because no one was helping you (which implies that you have an expectation that they SHOULD help you.)

If you want to play the game - buy it. If your PS3 broke and your PS2 won't read the disk, thats a great sob story but no one here owes you anything because of it. Buy a PS3. Buy a japanese PS2. You're trying to make excuses for something that really isn't excusable. If you're going to pirate, at least take responsibility for what it is you're doing rather than acting like you're an exception. Even more so, don't act like you're a victim because your situation is so rotten and no one is helping you. With the way you're acting, you don't deserve to be helped.
