Yeah. Actually really annoying. Probably should start working, any news on the "meeting"?

 

How do we do a group chat on Skype? I never done that before

 

I'll invite all the translator in 1 call to chat. I have excellent internet. Just you need excellent English skills :P.

 

all man . i tryed replacing destany islands usa .ard with fina mix and i get diffenrt reslates but its not in englsh .

 

They're 2 totally different games, that's why.

 

I know i was doing that one but i got sooo confused. Thats a wonderland script for ya. Kinda fitting right? lol

As of right now, we're working on Wonderland, Help is greatly appreicated if anyone could join.

 

I would love to contribute more to this project, but I can't read a word of Japanese. (except katakana. lol) Maybe I could help with 'localization' so to speak? Rearranging sentence structure and the like?

We do need to all come together and learn how to properly edit ARDs. They way you guys are doing it now seems you are doing it one ARD at a time. There are ways to edit the same text within ARDs all at once so we don't have to copy/paste manually a million times.

 

Figured. I was told many worlds need translation. I have 5 years of experience of living in Japan so I know lots of Kanji, I'm okay with Kana. So, how will we credit? As in will be mod the game a bit lol?

Worst part so far is Wonderland. The English one is totally ordered. Final Mix is all over the place, I heard Traverse Town is the same way. Have a feeling End of the World will be the same way... This is going to be fun.

 

That UltraEdit stuff? Oh snap tell us about it. We're gonna group chat once Roxas comes online or you can do it now

 

Believe me Hollow Bastion is sorta all over the place as well. There are some instances in which the scripted text based cutscenes don't show up until later in the script. It's really weird.

Yeah, it would probably be easier. Hopefully we can come together today in Skype. Sadly I'm using a work computer to type this since I'm on my lunch break.
Hollow Bastion is coming along fine though, only thing is that there are some strings I've not translated yet in the script.

 

To be honest, I've abstained from translating anything more because I wasn't sure if I was doing things correctly... If we could make a standardized translating process and release a step-by-step video detailing it, I think it would allow those of us who want to help to dig in with confidence. As I understand it, a few people have already volunteered to make such a video, so I suppose it comes down to getting a standardized methodology down.

 

That's why I want to have multiple people on 1 script, each assigned a page. I have lots of Japanese experience. I could revise per say if I see any mistakes.

 

I'll either make a video or we can just all chat on skype and i can share my screen or something.

 

That's fine. Probably would be better to chat via mics or skype chat.
