Once Trilix finishes hiss Destiny Islands ARDs and fixes my Disney castle ARDs we can show off the beginning of the game I guess.

 

I can translate Destiny Island's if you tell me the ARD it's in.

 

if you explain the patching process to me in simpler terms (I don't quite understand if my iso is supposed to have ard file directly replaced because all I get when I export it is a folder full of .bin files) I can show your translation on my stream.

Biggest pain of this project is how the cutscenes are scattered. We need more translators. We need to get this more public. This could take FOREVER, I have 5 years of Japanese experienece and still can't believe how scattered everything is. I suppose we could search for the text.

 

Trilix is almost done though. Everything's translated, he is just testing. You can go into the drive and grab the ARDs (Complete and incomplete on there). However fair warning to the incomplete ARDs. They will crash the game on cutscenes

 

If we had all the best translators on this project helping, we could do this much faster. But I'm terrified of messing up the code by accident if we do, that means we have to restart all the progress if we don't know how to replace the character. I think on google docs you can view as people edit stuff. That would be a good feature to help with this. Due to if any translation is incorrect, I could help fix it.

 

Ok cool. I can upload the rest of Wonderland and Hollow Bastion for you. Keep in mind though that there will be same dialogue in different ARDs of the same world.

There are also Deep Jungle ARDs, Atlantica ARDs, and 100 Acre Woods ARDs to test

To the two new guys, we have How-To guides on some stuff on our public google drive we save everything on. All files and the drive link are in my sig. Just view the files in the "Tutorials and Notes" folder. The text is separated by world, so it is NOT scattered everywhere. View the "World Codes" document on the drive to know which ARDs has the text you want to work on. Just be sure to read "KHFM Translation Status" to find out who is working on what. Don't work on stuff people are already doing because you will just be wasting your time. As for translating, honestly knowing Japanese is great but it isn't really needed. If you own the US version of the game and extract the files you can compare the ARDs together and replace what matches.

I would recommend you not waste discs testing the game. Otherwise you'll be out of discs before the game is finished. If you can emulate it, it will save you the hassle.

 

Better for others to translate than me I guess. I'm doing more of Hollow Bastion right now, and I'm hoping to be done by tomorrow or Friday with the script. I still need to do the locations however.
Although, then again I am very slow when it comes to translating. It's an amazement that I ever actually finished translating Final Mix for my LP.

 

I'm translating Wonderland. Quite annoying, so many hidden Japanese characters, some text might even be out of place. Honestly, this is going to take a while. I just need to translate more, the door's text is a bit weird. I have no idea if I'm ine correct time period.

 

Most text is in order, but there are some things out of order. Watch the japanese playthroughs if you need to find something to match the english one.

Did they ever had the "enter tent" and "exit tent" in the original game? I don't think so. Accuracy change here we come, but that's for later. :P

 

Yay more early game coverage! I haven't watched it yet but yes I know for a fact that the original game had the Enter and Exit Tent. I have a game save (on the US version) at that exact spot.
