Looks like Hurricane Period is officially called Hurricane Blast.

Funny how we're making the translation accurate before 1.5 comes out.

i was wondering, very roughly how long do you think the first 'version' of the translation will be done? you know since you are translating quite a few ARDs.

 

My name may be on a few items on the list, but I am only focusing on Destiny Islands right now. The others that have my name on it were only because I wanted to translate the FM-only bits like the Unknown and Cloud vs Sephiroth scenes. And I hate posting incomplete things, so those will stay on my computer until either me or someone else translates the he and pc ARDs.

After Destiny Islands is translated, i'll upload it and let ya'll know. Then I would say a good chunk of the beginning of the game would be done!

I kid, but I find it weird that they're calling it Hurricane Blast since it literally says Hurricane Period in katakana.

I still need to learn how to work with ARDs so then I can continue with Hollow Bastion. :P
Also, I noticed some parts of Traverse Town that I perhaps could help with.

What it doesn't say is that you really should have the US version as well, otherwise you'll just be guessing.

Question about btltbl.bin. Shouldn't it be readable on the Final Mix English EVT font? Or US font? I though it had to be set to the Final Mix english evt font?

Is it because Crazycat didn't finish his SLPS file yet? I heard that file contains the final mix font right?

 

its the english SYS font. EVT is more for ARDs, SYS is for BINs like SLPS or btltbl.

That would make me happy. It would also make me productive. If I could just get then then I's download then and edit them in word since I have Japanese programmed into my computer. Sorry for the trouble, I just don't wanna fiddle around and possibly break something.

 

For that guide in the drive on replacing the opening and demo-
does that work for the ending as well? Because when I extract the US KH iso I get both end.dat and end2.dat. Should I just try both? Because with the save I have I would have to beat the final boss to check, and I'd kind of like to just have to do it once to test.

 

There are no Japanese subs on the ending scene surprisingly. To check, you can actually rename end.dat to opn.dat and replace it. Obviously you'll want to backup the files you replace so you can swap them back to normal. Once you rename it to opn.dat, you can actually watch the ending cutscene once you hit new game in the title screen.[DOUBLEPOST=1376028425][/DOUBLEPOST]

Download Notepad++, it has japanese and other languages build in. It's also one of the primary tools I use to translate. Just an FYI though if you cannot test your translation in game then you'll never know if something you did was wrong or not.

 

When Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD remix comes out. Would it have the older sora voice ? If it does can re replace that voice with kh1 sora from the ps2 ?
