Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix Translation Patch (In progress)

Thanks, I'll try my best although this is the first time I'm ever working based with scripts. I translated that game on my end when I LPed it, but I translated it inside the editor I had.
If worst comes to worst, it's beta testing for me.

Well I preordered HD 1.5 ReMix and got it shipped from Japan back when it came out in March, got it on March 15th I remember. If I didn't recognize it, then I'd be disappointed with myself. XD

 

Crazycatz i know why the program wasn't extracting it is because the hash pairs log isn't on the Google drive in the tools folder, can you add them if possible

 

Added Neverland, Hallow BAstion, and End of the World scripts.

Now available to translate. I assume the Xemnas battle is done, but I don't see any english script in there.

 

So basically just replace the English text that is in there with the English translation? I'm sorta confused a bit, sorry.

 

No I don't see any English text in there at all. It doesn't matter to me though

 

Can't say I completely get the scripts either, so I'm no help there.

Making steady progress hex editing this darn SLPS file. Just did a table I feel might be for the coliseum. Out of the 12-15 strings, only one had to be shortened: "Obtained complete gumi collection!" -> "Got full gumi set!".
I always find it interesting labels and other small pieces of text are shorter in English, but actual sentences tend to be shorter in Japanese....

And Roxas (or anyone), think you can translate these please? Google fails hardcore on them because they're names\sounds\what-ever-they-are.

Yeah Google translate and Google in general tend to do that at times.
When it comes to Japanese though the sentence structure is something to keep in mind, for example verbs tend to always be at the end of sentences.
Oh and another thing. Japanese has some words that are used to emphasize a sentence or word and have no actual English translation themselves, so in this case often times they will be omitted.

i used to see all .bin files and the program was giving me some type of error but i got it working with some help !

 

Gonna continue some more with Hollow Bastion tomorrow. Wasn't able to do much, but that's partly because of my stuborness. Well that and it's late where I am right now and I need to record some Final Mix HD and Skies of Arcadia Legends for tomorrow.

 

i tryed replacing the btlbtl.bin file and it worked . but it w asent in english . is it becuase it was my iso was unmodded before i did this ?[DOUBLEPOST=1375502209][/DOUBLEPOST]i replaced everything that u had . and its not in english . its that stuff that u had before u transalted . so how do i fix it ?[DOUBLEPOST=1375502572][/DOUBLEPOST]this is not in english yet , am i missing anything ?

Wow I haven't responded to this thread in a while and its already filled with new posts! I'm so glad we are getting some more support here. I'm especially excited with crazycatz continuing success with new files. You are the reason most of us are excited to translate this game. ;)

On another note, I haven't posted anything to the drive since btltbl.bin. So the two things on my list right now are revising the unknown scene a bit and translating the cutscene after you beat him. I also want to finish the Dive to the Heart ARDs since those are pretty close to completion. When done, I will upload to the drive and notify you all by posting here.

Speaking of Google Drive: I may be nitpicking a bit but in all honesty we don't really need the Scripts folder. Since we have the fancy-schmancy ARD editor now and only need to use the string mapper for tiny or quick fixes, it would be better if all the files in that folder were converted back into .ard and be put into the "In-Progress Files" or "Completed Files" folder. I'm not talking about the two folders inside the scripts folder, but the two folders in the root of the google drive.

 

As long as I can find the files to continue translating I don't care. I just need to find the Hollow Bastion script since I started on that one.

Did you take btbll.bin as raw and reinsert it back in?

 

You said you replaced everything we currently had. But are you sure you replaced menu/sysfont.bin as well as SLPS_251.98? Those files from crazycatz add the english font tables to the game. sysfont.bin is in the Completed Files folder and SLPS_251.98 is in the In-Progress Files folder on the drive.

 

You have successfully somehow made it into a new language unique from all others.

 

no i forgot to replace the other .bin file . i did replace the SLPS file. so i will get on that now . i am so lucky i have a good end laptop i can use . my desktop is crappy like heck . lol

My word, some of that actually looks like Ancient Hylian too...now I suddenly have the urge to play Zelda Wind Waker...

I know I'd be excited about it as well. Also, when it's complete I'll test out how it runs on a PS2 okay since I've got Swap Magic installed onto my PS2 so I can play imports and patched games.
