If you had been reading the thread you would've seen instructions and all the tools needed.

While yes, I think that we need a post summing up everything, the information is there.

Make sure you have the _HashPairs.log file that came with the extractor. It tells my tools the filenames. If it's loading right, you'll see "Using HASHPAIRS file version 1.09 (Crazycatz00) with 3294 entries!." as the first line of anything that uses it.
If you re-extract with that, you should have nice names.

    Edit: Woa, disappearing posts, gg.

From the ReadMe: "for those who know what they're doing." You don't need anything in the Dev folder.
Also, the guide linked around in here is pretty step-by-step, just skip the "For ARD files:" and "For ARD files:" parts if you're not making them yourself.
Ex. Extract game, replace files in "export" with the new downloaded ones, run the replacer and type the new file's names in it, done.

Yeah, I figured that out and didn't want to clog the topic with unnecessary posts.
Anyway, I've figured out how to replace files, except for ones in the menu folder. The replacer asks me to name a file but when I enter the name (i.e. sysfont.bin or md_anthem.kmb), it gives me an error. btltbl and the like works fine.

    Try "menu/sysfont.bin". :P

    Man I feel dumb.
Btw, I'm just typing in filenames. How do I know which one is right?

Take a relative path from the export folder, using "/" instead of "\". So "export\kanji.knj" is just "kanji.knj", "export\menu\sysfont.bin" is "menu/sysfont.bin", and "export\random\folder\structure\file.ard" would be "random/folder/structure/file.ard".
You can also look at the hashpair.log file, that lists every filename it will accept.

No I mean, it asks me for a file and I just type in a filename. How do I know which one it's asking for?

Ohh, lol. You mean the replacer?

Yeah. Although I randomly entered in sysfont.bin at one of them and it did in fact replace the font, so I can use the translated command menu, but I suggest that is made more clear somehow.

    EDIT:
Wait, I think I misinterpreted it. It's not asking for a name of a specific file, it's just asking which file to be replaced? As in, I could enter any filename (of a file that's already in the game) and it will replace the corresponding file?

Ya, it just asks for what file YOU want to replace.
As for making it easier, I have another one almost done that works better then this replacer. It just picks up all the files itself, you just point it at an un-modified ISO. Just need to finish a part of the header-patcher.

I get it. Thanks for the help, a lot of this was just me reading things wrong.

Nice. Yeah since that is smaller than the japanese string you were able to fit it.

I attached it below. Also there are a bunch of other ARDs with the same strings (pc01 - pc15) but I believe this is the only one that gets used. Also I did not translate the cutscene after you beat him btw. Maybe later I will and edit this post.

Ok, so I think this is stable enough. In-browser ARD editor: http://crazycatz00.x10host.com/KH/ard editor.html
I've tried it on a few files, and all seems well.
A heads up, when you edit a section you need to click "Save section" for the changes to take affect.
Problems\Questions, just say something. Also note you need a recent browser for this to work. In specific, I made this in Pale Moon 20.2.1-x64 (Firefox 20 codebase), though I'll try to support others (not Internet Explorer, there's no way this will ever work in it  ).

Another heads up: There are still junk sections in this, there's not a real good way to know which are which without possible removing real sections too. Just "Close section" on the junk ones.

I'll wait. Want to show off the command menu too along with it. I got a descent amount of subscribers to show it to also.

So I totally have OCD, and engrish really bothers me, so I took the liberty of editing the Xemnas cutscene to have more natural-sounding english (for example, "That's a familiar sound" is now "That name... so familiar...")
I don't read japanese, nor am I a qualified translator, so this is merely personal preference, but for anyone who wants my take on this, here's the file. Now that I know how to edit ards and such I may start to contribute.

Also, because I am capable (I've actually already done it), Miles, would you mind if I uploaded the updated video with the command menu? Since you already have some subscribers I could just upload it somewhere like MEGA or Mediafire and you could upload it to your channel, but just to let you know it's already recorded on my end.

Sure why not. It doesn't matter because it will be edited for accuracy once KH 1.5 comes out in a few months
