    Maybe soon, depends on when\where we find them. Since last night, not much visually. I fixed a few bugs with the Message tool, and confirmed subtitles ARE stored in *.ARD files. I still need to fix the font, though (it just looks terrible to me); going to try that tonight.

    alright . thanks for making the patch dude . your a life savor . i dont own a ps3 . i own a xbox 360 . and i have 2 ps2s .but this is great for people that dont have a ps3 nice work so far . may i help with this by any way ? can i be a beta tester or something ? May i ? and mabey we can make a new website or something like that.

    They do, I just haven't put them in the string mapper yet. In addition, they have different codes in the SYS font vs EVT font; I want to fix that sometime. These are our current fonts:
    SYS: sys-ENG.png EVT: kanji-ENG.png
    Well, I prefer my ol' trusty PS2 afterall. It never did overheat. o_O Though, I play these on my computer more often now (PCSX2 + PS3 controller + 4x resolution + shader); can't emulate PS3 games.

    So I wanted to try to reduce the space between characters in the SYS font, so we don't have stuff that looks like "Te s t i s He r e ". And... I think it's hardcoded, like the height is. I'm not sure of this, but it doesn't seem to be a part of the sys font itself, and it has no "fontinfo" file like KH2.

    I think I'll try to make a tool for editing ARD files (they contain the subs) asap. That way I could work on my thing while others can work on that. And since the subs use the Kanji font, it won't be affected by me trying to fix sysfont.

    And finally, I'm doing a quick playthrough of the game. There's still about 500 @noname files (well, 400 now) left, some of which I know are ARDs, BGM, etc. Shouldn't take me too long...

    Edit: Oh, and I confirmed there are in fact only TWO Message files in the game; none are hidden in other files. At least without being modified.
    That, and KH1 thinks a hard drive with 18 GB free isn't enough to store 1280 MB..... :confused:

    I think that's what Gledson was asking because I think he wants to make a Brazilian Portuguese patch for final mix too

    It probably could be translated into something other than English, but it'd need the current tools to be finished, a new sysfont file to support the new letters (assuming it's Russian, or something that doesn't use English/Japanese characters), and you'd have to redo all the strings with the new letters. It'd take a lot of time, just like it is now, but it should be possible.

    Nice going crazycatz. How else are you guys gonna improve this? 60FPS? Textures? I saw that other thread but I wasnt sure.

    Yep. If it uses English\Latin characters, no font change in necessary; otherwise you would need to change the font.

    We'll get there when we get there, no hard plans till then. I'd like to try 60fps sometime, and have an idea where to check, but might not be able to avoid video crashes. As for HD assets, I have no idea. The 1.5HD sounds much more like the KH2\RE:CoM engine then KH1 imo; Might have better luck porting HD->KH2, lol.

    Looking at ARD files, and not getting real far. Feels like navigating spaghetti to me.o_O I know where the subs are, just not how the game knows...

    Believe it or not RE:COM is based off of KH1's engine than KH2. It must look different because it uses the current style of art (models, textures) all that. Obviously 1.5 fixes that to make KHFM look more like the other games
