"So it is," Sora said aloud, his eyes wandering to Roxas before he looked over all his friends. It was time to go home.

Namine nodded softly in agreement. She was ready to get cleaned up now.

 

OOC: Time gap time. =) Your turn to lead. ;D

 

OOC: It is? I thought I led the last one... Oh well, I'm probably wrong. xD Just one question--how long is the gap we're doing?

 

OOC: Yup. I led the very short one to the food fight, remember? xD Hm...Well, I never really thought of that. x3 I guess you can make it a few days or maybe a week later, since it's the song that Namine had heard when she was dancing with Roxas.

 

OOC: Alright, I'll work something out. x3

One week later...

"So Roxas, you couldn't get Namine to tell you why she and Kairi have been acting so weird lately?" Sora asked his friend, walking along the sidewalks of NYC as they headed to Kairi's house. Ever since a day after the ball, both of the girls had been spending a lot of time together, and leaving Sora and Roxas out of the loop. Of course, Sora knew that they were spending a lot of time at Kairi's house. But what could they have possibly been doing there? The girls sure were acting strange...

Roxas shook his head as he lifted his head to look at his friend walking next to him. "Nope. Namine has been really secretive, ever since the ball. I'm not exactly sure what's going on," Roxas explained, his eyes on Sora. "You couldn't find out anything either, huh?" The suspicion that Roxas and Sora both shared was what was motivating them to go to Kairi's, like they were now. Ever since that night at the ball, Kairi and Namine had spent every day of the last week together. Doing what, Roxas didn't know.

 

Sora shook his head, keeping his eyes forward. "No, Kairi's been acting the same way." Ever since that ball a week ago, Sora and Kairi hadn't been spending as much time together. That would have worried him slightly if it was just him, but if Namine wasn't spending a lot of time with Roxas either...well, things still didn't add up. And that was why they were heading over to Kairi's to see what was up.

 

Roxas pressed his lips together and nodded slightly, turning his head forward again as he put his hands in his pockets. Whatever was going on, both of the girls were of course in on it. Roxas had an open relationship with Namine, and Kairi and Sora had the same. So what was with this secret?

 

"Here we are," Sora stated, turning his head toward Kairi's house as he slowed his walk, stopping it completely after a few steps. He wondered if randomly showing up at Kairi's house was a smart idea, but he was very curious as to what was making the girls act so odd.

 

Roxas came to a halt next to Sora, his eyes falling on the house. He exhaled a soft breath, blinking once. His curiosity was what led him here, but it was too strong to block. He hated barging in on the girls like this, if he and Sora were barging in, but he was slightly worried. He hadn't spoken to Namine much lately, and he was wondering what was up.

 

Sora couldn't tell if the girls were even there, since it was the middle of the day and no lights were turned on inside. But still, he had a feeling they were. ...I guess we're going in, he thought to himself, suddenly unsure as to what course of action they should take. Should they silently go in, or announce their random arrival to the girls?

 

Roxas' eyebrows furrowed slightly as he continued thinking over this. Hopefully neither of the girls were in trouble, but he was sure that one of them would have said something if it was that serious. He bit his lip slightly as he looked at Kairi's home, wondering what the girls would think when they arrived.

 

"Come on," Sora said quietly to his friend, giving Roxas a quick look before turning his head forward and turning, heading up the walkway to the front door of Kairi's house. Whatever was going on, he really wanted to find out...just to make sure that everything was alright.

 

Roxas lowered his gaze to Sora. He silently followed him, letting his hands leave his pockets. Hopefully this wasn't anything bad...

OOC: Gotta go. I'll try to be back later!

 

Sora silently approached the door, setting a hand on the knob as soon as he got there. He stopped there, not moving. He was hesitating now, wondering if they should really just enter uninvited like this...

OOC: Okay, hopefully I'll see you later!

 

Roxas came to a halt, his eyes on Sora's hand for a moment before they flitted up to the boy. He bit his lip, and noticed that Sora was having second thoughts. Maybe they shouldn't go through with this...

 

Should we really do this? he thought to himself, his eyes wandering down to the door knob. If nothing was wrong, he and Roxas would look like fools entering like this. But if there was something wrong, then it would be good to go in...right?

 

Roxas let his eyes fall on the doorknob again. If it was unlocked, then surely Kairi expected Sora to walk in at any time, right? Which meant she didn't mind if he just walked in...right?

 

Sora inhaled deeply, deciding that entering would be their best option. It was better than leaving without nothing; he was sure about that. He kept his eyes on the knob as he silently started to turn it, immediatly noticing that it was unlocked.

 

Roxas let his teeth leave his lower lip as he watched Sora turn the doorknob. The girls were always happy to see either of them, so maybe they wouldn't mind the visit. Especially since they've barely seen each other in the past few days.
