Namine's smile widened a little when she felt Roxas hold her more closely, that gesture making her feel warm inside. She snuggled her head into his shoulder a little more, the girl closing her eyes for a moment in comfort.

 

Roxas lowered his head slightly, his lips finding Namine's head as he kissed her blonde head of hair. He pulled back after a second or two and let his head rest against the top of hers.

 

Namine exhaled softly in comfort, feeling comfortable with Roxas holding her so close. Gosh, she loved him. It was on days like this that it was hard to imagine life without him. No, it was impossible to imagine life without Roxas at all. He was so actively involved in her life, that it was impossible to imagine it any other way. And that was the way Namine like things.

 

Roxas closed his eyes in their moment of comfort, not wanting it any other way. Being with Namine was always comforting; it didn't matter if Roxas was angry or sad, because Namine always brought him peace with her gentle presence. Roxas loved her with all he had, each and every day.

 

Namine stayed still, keeping her hand on Roxas' chest as a peaceful aura surrounded them.

 

As Roxas exhaled a breath softly through his nose, he let his thumb lightly start traveling over the jean fabric on Namine's knee. He kept his eyes closed, relaxing where he was more comfortable--on the couch and with Namine in his arms.

 

Namine kept her eyes shut as a small smile started to appear on her lips again, the girl feeling Roxas' gentle stroking on the fabric of her jeans.

 

Roxas let his motion with his thumb continue, his eyes still closed in comfort and peacefulness.

 

Namine exhaled softly in comfort, the breath leaving as a quiet sigh. She was so comfortable in Roxas' arms, that she felt as if she could stay there forever.

 

Roxas smiled slightly at the hushed sigh, recognizing that it was one of comfort.

Five Days Later...

Namine exhaled softly as she brushed back some of her blonde hair, the strands coming in her face slightly as she headed home. It was evening now, turning into night as she went toward her house. She had spent the day at Roxas, and it had been nice. They hadn't done much, just enjoying each other's company, really. But Namine was perfectly fine with that. She looked up at the sky as she walked, noticing how dark it was suddenly become. Also...she got this weird feeling in her heart. It was almost as if she were being watched. However, she doubt that was an accurate feeling. After all, she had no enemies that would be watching her...right?

Roxas walked from the living room to the kitchen, empty plates and glasses in his hands. He had spent the day with Namine, gladly, and she just recently left after pizza and a movie. He placed the plates and glasses in the sink, glancing up and looking out a window in the room. It was getting pretty dark. He had been a little uncomfortable with Namine walking home, even this late, but the blonde had insisted it was all right. Roxas sighed softly, thinking about the girl. Even if she didn't live that far away, he was still very protective, despite the fact that she was walking home.

 

Namine continued to head home, casually looking around her. There was nothing strange, so she figured that it was all just in her imagine. But, if it was just in her head, then why was she getting chills? It wasn't the night air, she had on a warm black jacket. No, there was this weird aura around her...one that reeked of evil intention. She couldn't mistake that, and it did make her feel very unnerved. She looked around again, but other than a few other people walking their own ways on the NYC sidewalks, there was nothing. Nonetheless, she picked up her pace, getting closer to home.

 

Roxas ran a hand through his blond spikes as he made his way out of the kitchen and back toward the living room. He turned off the light in the kitchen as he left, stepping through the doorway and walking to the other room. He immediately went to the couch, sat down, and flipped through channels to find something interesting.

 

Namine walked quickly to her house, seeing it coming up. She found comfort in the fact that she was getting closer to home, and that nothing was happening. Despite what her mind seemed to tell her, her instincts were telling her that something was wrong. Something was terribly, terribly wrong. Should I call Roxas? the thought randomly entered her mind, and Namine pondered it for a moment. No; she didn't want to worry him if nothing was even wrong. But if there was something wrong, like she felt... She inhaled a breath, walking even faster as she turned and started up the walkway that lead to her house.

OOC: I hate to say it, but I really do gotta go to bed. See you tomorrow!

 

Roxas sighed, continuing to flip through the channels. He stopped on a channel showing an action movie, though he forgot the name. Regardless, it wasn't good enough to occupy his time. The boy sighed and leaned back into the couch, putting his hands behind his head and putting his socked feet on the coffee table leisurely.

OOC: Okay. See you later!

 

Namine approached the door and stopped right in front of it, reaching into her jeans pocket for her house key. Okay, I'm home... she thought to herself, trying to chase away this odd feeling of fear. Just as she was about to pull the key out of her pocket, she heard a voice behind her, and it nearly made her jump out of her skin.

"Hello Namine."

 

Roxas stared blankly at the TV screen, trying to get his mind wrapped around what was going on this movie. But it still couldn't catch his attention.

 

Namine's eyes widened at the voice, and it took her a moment to place it. It did sound vaguely familiar but...no, that wasn't possible! There was only one other person she could think of who would be standing behind her at that moment, and she let his name leave her lips. "Jeff?"

The man chuckled evilly, but it was not the laugh of the cocky football player. "Guess again, baby. Come on, don't tell me you've already forgotten about me."

 

Roxas closed his eyes and sighed out of boredom. Gosh, whenever Namine was gone, it seemed as if he never had anything to do. Well, that was true in a sense; Namine was his life, and without her... Roxas couldn't imagine life without her. If she didn't exist, there was no reason for him to live either.
