Namine couldn't see Sora behind Roxas, but she figured out that he was there. That much made sense; if one boyfriend was here, the other was bound to be closeby. "A while?" Namine repeated softly, taking in what this meant.

Sora gave Kairi a small smile, feeling sheepish as he gazed at her. He brought up his hand, giving her a small, almost casual wave.

 

Roxas nodded a little, his sheepish smile fading slightly, but still remaining on his face. "Yeah."

Kairi's eyebrows furrowed slightly over her violet-blue eyes, a puzzled but shocked expression in their depths. She had been listening to Roxas and Namine's conversation, though she was still a little confused. By "a while"...did that mean that they had been there...then?

 

"Does that mean...?" Namine heard herself trail off, the girl hesitant to actually get an answer. What if they had been there, during...that?

Sora stayed silent, figuring that the question was directed toward Roxas. It was better that way; he didn't want to be the one to break the news to the girls.

 

Kairi turned her gaze to the blondes only a few feet from her, her eyebrows still furrowed over her violet-blue eyes. She waited for an answer...and she already had a feeling she knew what it was.

Roxas bit his bottom lip at the question, keeping his hold and eyes on Namine. He nodded once, understanding her unfinished question. "...Yes."

 

Namine blinked one time, not too surprised at the answer. Once she had found out that Roxas was here, a part of her mind seemed to accept that he had heard their song. "You heard us singing?" she asked quietly, needing to be perfectly sure that was the case.

Sora lowered his eyes slightly, looking to the floor in front of him. Now, since that piece of information was out in the open, what was going to happen? He wasn't sure how the girls were taking it, the teen unable to read Kairi's expression.

 

Kairi's eyes widened at that bit of information, still a little shocked even though she had known the answer before it was even said.

Roxas' sheepish smile faded a little. "Mmhm," he hummed. Even if it wasn't meant for him to hear at that moment, he was glad he did; it was great, and the girls both did wonderful on it. But by Namine's expression...he had a feeling that it was bad that they had heard it, which was why his smile was completely gone now.

 

"Oh." Namine lowered her head slightly, looking down at the floor. She was still taking in what that meant. The boys had heard their song during their best rehersal. Along with that fact, she knew that she and Kairi were planning on singing to the guys soon anyway, so...

Sora bit on his lip lightly, his eyes wandering to the blonde couple before going back to Kairi. The girls didn't seem too happy when they found out that they had been spied on, and he was starting to think this whole thing was a mistake.

 

Roxas loosened his hold on Namine even more, close to releasing her from his hold completely. He began to bite his lip, and he turned his head to look at Sora. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea...

Kairi's eyes traveled to her guitar next to her. So...they had heard the whole song, then? Well...today was actually one of her and Namine's last rehearsals...and that had been their best. Kairi remained speechless, not knowing what to say at the moment.

 

Sora lifted his eyes, catching Roxas' gaze. He could read his expression clearly, and he knew that it was the same thing that showed on his face. This all seemed to be turning out pretty badly, and he was feeling regret.

"It's alright," Namine said softly, looking at the floor for a few more moments. She moved her right hand, bringing it up slightly and setting it on Roxas' left arm. Her soft blue eyes wandered up to Roxas again, silence lingering in the room for a moment.

 

Roxas let his teeth leave his lip as he turned his head to look at Namine again, his eyes meeting hers. "...Are you sure?" he asked slowly, a little unsure about it. This definitely wasn't the reaction he had been imagining when he revealed himself.

Kairi lifted her gaze from the guitar on the floor to the boys. Perhaps Namine had been thinking the same thing she had; considering this was one of their last rehearsals, and one of their best, they were going to perform it to the boys soon anyway, and the fact that they had seen it during its best, that wasn't so bad.

 

Sora agreed with Roxas' question. Did Namine really mean that...?

Namine nodded faintly, a weak smile appearing on her lips. "I wouldn't lie to you," she said softly, completely honest. Looking at it now, it really wasn't that big of a deal. They were going to perform it for the boys soon anyway, so it was actually good thing that they had listened in when the girls were good, and not nervous about performing in front of them, either.

 

Roxas felt a soft smile return to his lips at Namine's words.

Kairi let a small smile find its way across her face as she looked at the two blonds. Namine was right though, and had been most likely thinking the same things as Kairi. At least they hadn't messed up, which could have been a possibility when the time to perform it for Sora and Roxas had actually come.

 

"I think it's better this way," Namine admitted, her eyes wandering from Roxas to Kairi. "At least we know it went well...right?" She figured that Kairi was thinking the same way she was, but she wanted to make sure of that.

 

Kairi nodded once with a small smile. "Right," she agreed, her eyes meeting Namine's. "I think we did better today than any other day this week," she admitted. She was actually quite glad the boys had caught them today instead of earlier. That would've been more embarrassing than this slightly was.

 

"We did," Namine agreed with a soft nod, her faint smile growing. Maybe this was actually a blessing in disguise. At least, that was how she viewed it now.

"You guys sounded great," Sora inserted his opinion, speaking for the first time since his arrival. He stayed against the wall, his eyes wandering from the blondes to Kairi as a smile appeared on his lips.

 

Kairi's eyes darted over to Sora at his compliment, the girl feeling her smile grow as some heat started rushing to her cheeks.

Roxas looked over at Sora when he spoke and he nodded in agreement with a smile as he turned his attention back to Namine. "You did. I actually got chills there for a second," he admitted, one small chuckle escaping him.

 

"Same here," Sora admitted, his eyes staying on Kairi. He offered her a small, gentle smile when he noticed her cheeks pinken slightly.

Namine bit on her lower lip lightly, feeling a smile appear on her lips. That was a very sweet compliment, and it made Namine feel shy for a few moments. And judging by Kairi's silence, her friend was feeling the same.

 

Kairi's smile grew slightly at the boys' words and Sora's smile, the girl feeling herself blush. She shyly lowered her gaze from Sora's, tucking a few strands of her red hair behind her ear.

Roxas watched Namine in the short silence, finding it adorable when she was feeling shy. He tightened his hold on her slightly, his smile growing a little.

 

Sora smiled softly, gently bringing himself off the wall and heading over to Kairi. He silently walked across the room, not removing his gaze from the beautiful redhead that stood before him.

Namine smiled softly, feeling Roxas' arms tighten around her. It made her feel more comfortable, and her shyness started to disapear at his light embrace. She leaned her head back slightly, letting it rest on Roxas as she gazed up at him.

 

Kairi bit her lip slightly as she looked down at the carpeted floor for a moment. She then lifted her head, her violet-blue eyes catching onto a boy making his way across the room, her eyes meeting his ocean-blue.

Roxas' soft smile grew slightly, the boy revealing his white teeth somewhat as he looked down at the girl in his arms. Gosh, he loved her so much. And just by that song she had sung with Kairi he knew that she loved him just as much.
