Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance: Sora's Outfit?

    Hey everyone, are you guys ready for the Tokyo Game Show!?

    The short playable demo that surfaced early today was great, but hopefully that's only something small compared to what we will see in the next couple of days.

    In the mean time, there seems to be a lot of buzz regarding Sora and his outfit. We're not sure if Sora is wearing his KH1 clothes like we've seen countless times in previous titles. This time around; it appears as if the outfits from KHI and KHII have collided into one form. Let me give an example.

    It appears that Sora is wearing something that was very similar to what Mickey was wearing in Kingdom Hearts II (image posted above). If you take a look at the blurred image from the trailer with Sora; you can see that the colors resemble (such as the black in the sleeves and the yellow stripes).

    Remember this title is about the master exam. The new outfits may mark the new "keyblade master" clothes - which would explain why Sora appears to have the same outfit as King Mickey.

      We did receive word that Sora and Riku were going to get a new outfit. At least I think I remember reading that in one of the threads on this site. But then again I remember hearing that Noramura had said that Sora and Riku had to be in their KH1 outfits as well. Maybe they're only in their KH1 outfits when they visit worlds that were in KH1?

      Thinking about it, it kind of makes sense. Assuming it is a dream scenario going on, dreams often mush things together. ;o I'm excited to see if we get any higher quality footage.

      Hmm... looks promising. However, from that screenshot, i can't make out the allies. I do hope we find out who the new ones are soon! I do also wonder about the uniform... it does look like Mickey's. I hope it's new, that would be a great change after the same old clothes he always wears. We need something new!

      Nomura said that for people to stop confusing this with a remake, they'll get new outfits, multiple ones.
      But canonically, they'll be using their KH1 outfits all the way.

      Unless of course he changed his mind.

      Agreed. I would much rather be it KHII model, but i supose beggars can't be choosers.

      It would definitely bring about a new feel for the game, one we have not had in 5 years. This game seems to make a bunch of breakthroughs, as well as loads of fan pleasing new content. I hope and believe that 3D will be a serious KH game quencher for us KH fans who are stir crazy. (However, it will only pacify our longing for KHIII for a certain amount of time...)

      Do you have refference for this? There are a lot of people talking as if outfits are confirmed but I'm having trouble finding an official source confirming new outfits. Just the old interveiw saying he was considering having new outfits to show that this isn't a KH1 port, but that the plotline called for the KH1 outfits for part of it.

      I love when the Tokyo Game Show comes around; it's a great time for Kingdom Hearts updates. I am a little disappointed that Sora's clothing isn't that changed. I prefer the KH2 Sora model; I wish they could've used it in this game. Regardless, I think KH3D is going to be a great game and continuation on the path to EVENTUALLY KH3. :D Thanks for the update, Mike.
