Kingdom Hearts: Chasing Shadows

Poke woken up, and he was apparently being dragged around Radiant Garden town by a heartless soldier. He gave it a kick in the face, before jumping up to see that he was surrounded by a bajillion heartlesses. "....HELP!" He yelled out to anyone in Radiant Garden that could hear him, before he summoned his keyblade, getting ready to fight.

 

Nikolai knew resisting her orders would be a grave mistake, especially now that there was one of Xenree's allies right there. "Fine, give me an order. The inside of this castle's starting to get to me. Too bright." Nikolai said, ready to do whatever Xenree said just to get away from her.

 

OOC: Wait did Rat NOT come out of a dark portal nearby? If he did, why was he ignored? If he didn't, how far away is it?

Xenree's silver eyes flicked to Rat emerging from a dark corridor and waved her hands at them, "You're not ready for a mission yet. You'll stay here and we'll get you fixed up. After all, I have a lot of work to do around here for a little while." She stared thoughtfully at the black rose in her hand and frowned, "We need to visit Hollow Bastian....tomorrow morning. Nox, take Nikolai back to Twilight Town and find me a sea shell." Silver crescents glittered as she glowered at Nox, "Do this and I'll make it worth your while." She turned her eyes to Rat, "You...your name?"

 

"Uh..well people just call me Rat..wait what's this about missions?" he questioned. He was getting more interested by the second, unable to satisfy his curiousity completely. His fingers coiled around the end of his spear, just doing his best to remember it was there.

 

Carrie nodded her head. Soon she, herself was too in her room, asleep.

Her silver eyes smoldered for a second, "Never you mind that. We're going to do something much more interesting than collect sentiments."

 

Nox nodded, very interested in what his reward would be. Reaching out his right hand, he opened a dark portal, which would lead them back to Twilight Town. "Well, you heard her, kid," Nox said as he lead the way through the dark portal.

Alexander opened his eyes, noticing that he was in a lonely alleyway in Radiant Garden. His head spun as he tried to stand up, trying to remember what happened to him. He then thought back to the other two who were with him that also left through the portal. With an aching head, he decided to walk around, hoping to find some kind of clue.

 

Nikolai followed behind Nox, paying little attention to Rat, who had just appeared in the castle. "So she wants us to find her a sea shell...seriously?" Nikolai said, not sure if he understood correctly. "Barely know her five minutes and she already strikes me as crazy."

 

"The seashell is my mission. You honestly don't expect me to play babysitter all day, now do you?" Nox said to the boy as he led him through the portal. The portal opened up right in the middle of Tram Commons, but thankfully there was no one around who spotted them. As that portal closed, Nox opened up another one, which would lead him to the beach he discovered not too long ago. "Now you be a good boy of Darkness and stay out of trouble for the rest of the day, okay."

 

Xenree moved from the main foyer and down a hall, heading into a large circular room. It was pitch black with a single window staring out into the darkness. A large circle drawn on the floor with what seemed to be dark red paint? with a smaller circle inside it. The space between the circles was filled with different runes painted in the same dark red stuff. She stood on the outside rim of the circle and spread her arms, "It's time...once again, lets try this. The moon shines brightly down upon this ceremony. The spirits dwelling in the darkness rise out of the fog and into the clear. Let us first welcome...the Superior of the In-Between. My dear, beloved, Xemnas." Her eyes shone and the circle lit up with luminous purple light.

 

Nikolai shrugged at Nox's remark. "Fine. Whatever you say. But if I'm seen, things might go down."

 

Annoyed, Nox pulled out his Keyblade and pointed it at Nikolai's chin. "Then I suggest you do your best not to get caught. Remember, if you screw this up, it's going to be my job to make sure you're taken out." Nox left through the portal without saying another word.

 

Rat followed Xenree. "Xemnas? Why does that name sound familiar? And sentiments? Does that stuff really exist?" he questioned.

(LOL No one notices Poke about to get his butt wooped by a mob of heartless XD)

Xenree lowered her arms and glared at Rat, "So many questions... Figure it out for yourself!" In the center of the circle, a figure with broad shoulders stood and the lights died down. "You called?" Xenree smiled, though her eyes were cold, "Yes, I need you to come back to this world and stand beside me. For old times sake, won't you fight with me?" Xemnas' golden eyes scanned her from head to toe and back again. "If you insist, my dear." Xenree resisted the childish urge to grin like a fool and twirl. She helped him out of the circle, gently touching his arm lightly and leading him out and towards a large guest room where he could rest. "Rest up and soon we'll get back to the plan."

Sei's eyes opened and he shivered. Heartless... Pushing himself up, Sei checked on Carrie sleeping soundly and crept out the door, bolting towards the concentration of Heartless. He saw Poke and summoned his Keyblade, "Get down!" his tiny voice carried over to Poke well. Using most of his strenght, Sei jumped, twirling while he landed and tore apart a group of Heartless. His silver eyes took in their numbers as he stood in front of Poke without another word to him.

 

Nikolai said nothing as Nox went through the portal. He walked away from the portal site to find somewhere to hide until Nox got back. "This town is so big...There's nowhere to hide!" He thought as he wondered around. He eventually came to a large hole in the wall in the back of the tram commons. "What do we have here? I've never seen this here before..." He said as he walked through the hole. On the other side there was a forest that lead to an a mansion that looked abandoned. The gate leading to the mansion was locked. "Good thing i've got a Keyblade, huh?" He said to himself. He summoned his Keyblade and aimed it at the padlock on the gate. A dark stream shot out from it's tip and into the lock, removing it entirely. Nikolai opened the gate and proceeded into the mansion. The foyer was an empty mess, there were papers scattered all over the place. "Not the cleanest hiding spot ever, but it'll work."

 

Without any second thought, he immediately ducked as the newcomer Sei tore through the heartless. He smirked, before saying, "Let's see your cooperation." He then, without warning, jumped towards Sei, and used his shoulders as a spring to jump up and land a wave-expanding strike on the earth, taking out several heartless. He threw his keyblade in to the air, before backflipping to the back of Sei, as if he were waiting for him to use his attacks again. "C'mon!"

 

Sei braced himself. Though he was younger and shorter than the other man, he took his weight well. Twirling on his heel, Sei cast Aero magic and chucked his Keyblade covered in a wind tornado towards the Heartless. Fighting unarmed, Sei dodged several attacks, using his tiny stature to his advantage and grabbed the back of a Heartless. Flipping it over his head, he used it as a weapon, taking out several other Heartless as his keyblade returned to his hands. Sei's dodging looked like a little dance with several partners.
