Kingdom Hearts: Chasing Shadows

Akira? Who was Akira? Was she maybe Sei's sister? She hugged the boy as he started to cry. Poor kid... He must have been through so much... She held onto him tightly and said "It's okay to cry," She knew-to a point- what he was going through. He missed whoever Akira was. Just like she missed Lea. And she would try to help Sei find his family-and his Akira- whoever she may be...

 

Yuffie and Aerith pulled Merlin away and mumbled something about leaving the two of them alone.

Sei hiccuped and held the music box in his hands for a long time, until the song stopped and still he cried on. Shutting the box, Sei shut his eyes and sobbed just like the child he was. Once he was done, Leon banged the door open and closed. He held out a hand-drawn picture to Carrie. "This is what he doesn't remember. He drew it once when he was staying at my place. It caused quite an uproar when he left and couldn't find it." Though the picture was simple, it held obvious meaning. In the center a woman dressed in black with long black hair held the hands of a little girl in a dark purple dress with silver hair and a slightly taller boy that looked like Sei.

 

Nikolai decided to go with Xenree. If it meant keeping innocents out of harm's way, he was willing to do it. "Fine. I'll go with you, so long as you promise to leave the innocent alone." Nikolai said. He couldn't help but feel hatred toward Xenree and her empty, soulless eyes.

 

Carrie took the picture. She guessed that the boy was Sei-that was easy. She froze when she saw the black cloak on the figure-it reminded her her of the organization 13 cloak. Who was this girl? Who was the little girl? She sighed. So many questions and no answers... "Shhh," Carrie said trying to sooth the boy. "It's alright.... I promise I'll help you find your family. I swear,"

 

Sei gripped the box tightly to his chest like a shield from the pain and slid to his knees. For a boy who could defeat Heartless so easily, he had so much trouble with memories. He gathered himself enough to look at the picture. "Akira...and my mother. Mom..." he started to cry again and Leon tucked the picture into his pocket. "If you're going to do that...then I suggest following his feelings of the Heartless. The most we know about his family...is that they're connected to the Heartless that've been showing up lately."

Xenree grinned, "You'll do fine then. Come then...we have many people to find before I set off for a new world." She opened a dark corridor, letting the World Heart disappear back where it was inside the world, though the sky changed back to it's normal orange, the shadows were alive with Darkness. Xenree's mind was set, she wouldn't miss a single person for her new army of the dark.

 

"Alight then," Carrie said. Carrie nealed down to Sei's height. "Hey C'mon. I'll take you to my place.Okay?" She said tilting her head slightly. Quickly she turned to Leon. "Hey Umm.. I've been meaning to ask you something her a while now...,"

 

Nikolai followed hesitantly behind Xenree through the Dark Corridor. It wasn't the corridor itself he was worried about, it was what he would find on the other side. "Can you feel it, my child? Nothing but Darkness surrounds you. This is the feeling of true power!" said Maleficent's voice. It was getting harder and harder to hold back letting the dark out, but Nikolai managed to keep it held back. For now.

 

Sei was hardly in a position to argue. He had no home. Living with Yuffie wasn't making things better. He picked himself up, rubbing at his eyes. Leon stared at Carrie, waiting for her to speak. "What is it?"

 

"I-I wanna know... Do you think Lea is still alive" She said slowly and quietly.

OOC: How old is Sei anyway?

 

Leon crossed his arms and leaned against the wall, "Lea? Most likely...but I wouldn't know." He looked sorry that he couldn't help her.

Tears appeared in Carrie's eyes but she simpily blinked them away. It was better now. She always wondered what Leon though and now... Well at least she did know. She nodded. her head at Leon. "Alright," she said. "I still not giving up-never," She turned to Sei and said "You ready to head to my place?"

 

Sei stood and nodded, "Squall...will you tell Merlin, I took this with me?" He looked down at the music box clutched to his chest and back up to Leon's face. Leon couldn't help but nod to the little boy. "Sure. We'll meet again, soon, Sei." Sei took his farewell and removed one hand from the box to hold onto Carrie's sleeve.

 

Carrie smiled as the boy grabbed onto her shoulder. "See you later Leon," She said quietly. She left the house, without looking back-guessing that Sei was behind her.
When they reached her house, Carrie took out her key and unlocked the door. The house wasn't much. There was a small living room with a couch. There was a few tables and on the walls were various picture. Some were of Carrie with her family and others were her with Lea or with Lea and Isa and some were more resent-having the Committee members in them. There was a smallish kitchen and a smaller dinning room with a table and two chairs. there was also a bathroom and a bedroom, as the home was all on one floor.
"Well this is my home sweet home," Carrie said

 

Rat thought for a moment. He'd always had a sense of curiousity, and now there were two thoughts that he was having. What would happen if the world heart was destroyed? and what would happen if he DID go with the strange woman? Decisions, decisions he thought to himself. "Say i do decide to go with you, what would become of me?" he asked. His eyes hovered briefly over to his spear, laying on the ground.

 

Poke watched Nikolai go with Xenree. "I respect your choice, and I'm still rootin' for ya, mate!" He called out to him, before sighing and walking off, hoping to get out of this mess.
(Uhh....How do we travel from world to world? Just thought of that ._.)

Xenree hesitated at Rat's words and turned back towards him, "You would gain unimaginable powers." she simply said and grinned. "Of course...the price to pay is your heart and sanity."

Sei wandered behind Carrie and into her home. He sniffed the air and blinked, "At least it doesn't smell always like flowers like Aerith's...and it's cleaner than Yuffie's or Squall's and Merlin combined.... It's small...mom....used to have a big home."

 

"I-I'm okay," Kirra sighed, regaining her balance. She stared at the taller of the two boys, his eyes appearing to be once tainted by anger and darkness. "I came from a place called Traverse Town, but I don't think I was born there. I'm not quite sure how I got here in the first place." Kirra was tempted to show the two of them her Keyblade, but she barely even knew the two boys. She trusted them to a point; she wasn't ready to show them her Keyblade, not yet anyway. "My name's Kirra."

"I'm Sora," The brown haired boy exclaimed, a childish smile on his face.

"This is crazy," Alexander exclaimed. He wasn't foolish enough to try to attack. "There has to be another way we can resolve this, right?" He looked at the boy next to him, hoping to find a sign of hope.

 

Unimaginable powers...would i be able to summon more creatures? Argh, so many questions! he thought, slightly irritated. Once again, he looked at his spear. Maybe i'd be able to use something better than that spear.. he considered. He looked at Xenree. "Sanity i can deal with losing, but why would i have to lose my heart?" he asked. Rat certainly had no desire to lose his heart, but he was curious as to what would happen..

 

"It used to be bigger... but since the world was attacked by heartless, this house was rebuilt. It's smaller because my parents died... So I'm usually alone here," said Carrie. She sighed, its been really lonely in general...She looked out one of the windows and saw it was getting late. "You hungry?" she asked.

 

Riku sighed quietly in relief that the girl was okay. His blue eyes flicked from Sora and back to Kirra, "Riku." He didn't like long greetings and the girl obviously had something kept secret. He wouldn't pry. "Listen, we were just about to leave actually... We have some buisness to conduct with the outside worlds."

Xenree sighed, "I have no desire to tolerate idiots with hearts that make decisions based on their emotions." Her silver eyes hardend the longer she looked at the boy, "Do not waste my time, boy!"

Sei nodded, his silver eyes brightening a bit. "Yeah." He hugged Carrie's arm and smiled a bit. "You're warm...mom was too....are all mom's warm?"
