Kingdom Hearts: Chasing Shadows

"Such cowardice" Rat said simply. He pointed at the heartless, gesturing for the rabbit to attack. "Go on, get it" was all he said. Instinctively, the rabbit used its powerful rear legs to leapt intot he air towards the heartless' neck. It sank its teeth into the heartless' neck. "Great!" Rat exclaimed, unable to suppress the admiration in his voice for this courageous little animal.

 

The Heartless batted away the rabbit before it could get a good hold on it's neck and met Poke's Keyblade with razor sharp claws. It's yellow eyes glittered in the darkness as it pushed back with equal strength of another Keyblade Wielder.

Xenree re-emerged in the center of the Sandlot. A dark Keyblade was raised above her head, "Time to end this foolish game. Dark Void, destroy the light that resides here! Let Darkness cover this world's core and Heartless reign." She was about to slam her Keyblade into the ground when something blue hit her on the side of the head. A blue ball fell on the ground, rolling backwards. Lifting her eyes from the ball to the people of Twilight Town holding more of them and some sort of blue colored bat. "Nn, you would interfere?! But...I suppose I could spare a little time to dispose of a few normal humans."

Renee ducked and dodged as fast as her training had taught her, at least, what she remembered. The Keyblade lay a few feet from her now. Still too far away from her to grab without risking damage to herself.

Sei shrugged and his entire body curled inward around himself. "But...! She's supposed to be dead! No...no...no..." he mumbled to himself as he curled into a small ball on the ground. Sei's hands were fisted in his white hair and his silver eyes squeezed shut. His knees drawn up to his chest even in his ragged black clothes. He looked like a small child. Yuffie panicked, "Sei!? Are you okay? Sei!?"

 

"Sei!" Carrie shouted, panic clearly in her voice . What was going on? What was happening!? Carrie genitally leaned down to hm. "What's wrong? What are you talking about?" She said as calmly as she possibly could.

He jumped away from the giant unversed, before seeing Xenree getting pegged in the face by a ball. Surprised, he turned to see the helpful residents. He saw the ball, and got an idea, smirking. He grabbed the ball and batted it at a wall in front of him(Facing away from Xenree), before the ball hit a wall and came back. "AUGH!" He ducked down, letting the ball zip towards Xenree. He then threw his keyblade up to the air, before grabbing another ball and throwing it at Xenree this time instead of back, while yelling, "Foooore!"

 

Sei flinched and uncurled, "I...I'm sorry...I don't...know who I'm talking about..."

Xenree's silver eyes darted towards the oncoming balls and as fast as lightning, Xenree's Keyblades slashed them to pieces. "That's enough." she snarled, two Keyblades in her hands now. The residents trembled where they stood. The air was tense, even as Xenree took slow, deliberate steps toward the residents.

 

Carrie looked at the boy strangely. "Okay," She said sighing. "You need to explain everything now," She said softly. She extended her hand to help him stand.

 

Poke quickly climbed up a random building and jumped up. He then came back down, spinning Sonic-the-hedgehog style, holding his keyblade, as the spikes left a white trail. It looked like it could cut through metal. He spun faster and faster, in an attempt to atleast try and bring Xenree down.

 

Xenree cast a hateful glare at Poke and dodged his move. She stood beside the residents, her Keyblades stretched out at her sides and held to the mayor and a young boy's throats. "Try that again and I'll cut their throats. All I need is a little time."

Sei took her hand and stood, his eyes cast downward. "I don't know what to explain... My name is Sei, I sense Heartless and sometimes Nobodies...I'm on the Restoration Committee and I don't remember my past. I can't remember my mother, my father...or what seems to be a vauge image of a sister."

 

Carrie looked into the young boys eyes and saw sadness. Poor Kid... He didn't remember his own family... Much less how he got his unbelievable powers. Carrie didn't know what she would ever do if she forgot about Isa- much less Lea,who even though she would never admit it she loved and cared about more then Isa. So this poor kid didn't any family- much like her. Her own family dying when the Heartless took over Radiant Garden. She genitally put her hand on Sei's shoulder.
"How about how you came to Radiant Garden?" She said genitally

 

Poke immediately de-summoned his keyblade and rose his hands up to the air, yelling out, "I SURRENDER!" He didn't seem to care much about the residents with the current attitude, but he did not want any blood spilling.

 

Nikolai kept his Keyblade summoned, but was motionless. He wasn't ready to give up like Poke. "Now you're holding hostages?" Nikolai said. He could hear Maleficent's voice in his head again. "Disregard the well-being of those fools. It's their fault for interfering in the first place!" The voice commanded. Nikolai was barely able to hold it back. He gripped his Keyblade harder, and Darkness was beginning to emanate from his hands. "Let them go, or pay the price!" Nikolai demanded. His voice sounded evil and echo-y. Almost demonic. He stood up and pointed his Keyblade, now leaking Darkness, at Xenree.

 

He saw Nikolai's act, before sighing. He ninja-ly stepped closer to him, before attempting to knock him out by punching him in the back of his neck. "HI-YAH!"
(Not much to do, that's why it's short post ._.,)

 

Nikolai felt the punch to the back of the neck. It hurt, but with the Darkness overtaking him, it wasn't enough to knock him out. "You'd be wise not to do that, unless you want me to rip your heart out with my bare hands?" Nikolai threatened, a dark glow in his eyes.

 

Summoning his keyblade, Keel cast cast three thunder spells on the heartless and unverse attacking Renee. "Are you okay?" He asked as the heartless and unvered vanished.

 

Sighing, not afraid of Nikolai, he smugly said, "You'd be wise not to attack that crazy woman, 'cause the moment you make an attack, she's gonna kill them. And it ain't a pretty sight."

 

Nikolai knew Poke was right. Any wrong move could provoke her. The Darkness faded from Nikolai, his voice and features returning to normal. "...Leave them alone. Take me instead..." Nikolai said, de-summoning his Keyblade. He looked to the ground, knowing there was nothing he could do. "Those people don't deserve to die. They've done nothing wrong." He added.

 

Sei frowned for a moment, "My mother sent me here...before...the darkness...she said..." he whimpered for a moment and Yuffie hugged him. "I don't remember...something awful happened and mom sent me here. I don't know what happened to her...or anybody from home...I can't even remember where home is." Sei's silver eyes widened for a moment, "There are Heartless...outside Merlin's house."

Xenree laughed, releasing one of her Keyblades and spearing the other into the ground at her feet. "I see darkness touched you a long time ago. I don't have time for hostages." From her Keyblade, Darkness spread and a large crystaline heart rose from the ground. "The world heart of Twilight Town. Let's see just how much faith you have." Touching her hand to it, a blaze of black fire.

Renee looked up and re-summoned her Keyblade to her hands. "Thanks. I'm Renee. You are?"

 

"I'm Keel." He said before he saw a giant crystal blaze in black fire. "Any idea what that is?"

 

Rat's eyes widened. "The heart of a world?!" he exclaimed, unable to believe his eyes. If it truly was the heart of the world, the person had to be stopped. But..i'm all the way over here.. he thought. He held the spear tightly, raised it above his head, and threw it with all his might straight at Xenree as he yelled "Leave this world alone!"

 

Carrie looked at the boy curiously and felt even more pity for him... He barely remembered how he came here-much less where he came from. She wished she could do something to help him remember... She swore to herself she would try to help him find his family- no matter what.

Her eyes widened when he told them about the heartless. No wondering if the others were behind her, she ran towards Merlin's house.
