Kingdom Hearts: Chasing Shadows

Nikolai wandered through the streets of Radiant Garden, ignoring the looks of fear and mistrust that some people were giving him. He eventually reached The Great Maw, a place where nobody wandered off to since the Heartless Invasion. Nikolai was about to learn why. Nikolai heard a strange noise from behind him, a noise of something appearing. "Heartless? Please." Nikolai scoffed. He summoned his keyblade, "Rapture", and began to fight the Heartless. It was a simple group, 3 Armored Knights and 4 Guardians floating around them. To start off, he cast "Dark Fire" At one of the Armored Knights, setting it on fire. The heartless ran around frantically before it disappeared, the heart inside floating away. The other two Armored Knights ran after Nikolai, the Guardians staying back and watching. "I can take you without Magic!" Nikolai said, provoking the Armored Knights. Nikolai did just as he said, he swung his blade at one of the Armored Knights in a way that it was knocked into the other one. While they were both on the ground, Nikolai finished them off using a jumping stab move on each of them. "Alright, now for you." Nikolai said, eyeing the Guardians. "Dark Lightning!" Nikolai called, casting multiple bolts of purple lightning down on the Guardians, eliminating them. With the Heartless gone, Nikolai continued through the Great Maw, into the Dark Depths. There he could see the large tower where Maleficent and Pete had trained him and the other boy. He could feel the Darkness emanating from the building. "The worlds are better off with those fools gone and dead." Nikolai said, sitting on the cliff, his legs hanging off. "I wonder what ever became of the other boy? What was his name....Ro...Re..Riku?"

 

OOC: Just a question (parents cut off internet access for a few days so i missed everything) but who's in Twilight Town?
IC: Rat took a deep breath. He had done this hundreds of times before, so why was he so worried now? Was he beginning to doubt himself? He envisioned the creature he wished to summon. His favorite summon, and the one he had first summoned. He closed his eyes, concentrating. Then he spun his spear in a 360 degree arc around himself and slammed the blunt end of it into the ground as he yelled out "summantis squirrealis!" and in a brilliant flash of white light, a small squirrel appeared in front of him, with the same blank look it always gave him.

"Haha, yeah i've still got it" he said, thinking aloud as he took a seat on the steps of Twilight Town. The squirrel itself was a pale orange colour, with just a slight brown tinge to its tail. "Hey, come on over here, Rusty" he said as he gesured for the little squirrel to hop over to him. It hopped onto his lap and quietly went to sleep in mere moments.

 

(Let's see, me, Terra, master of keyblades, and..um....Dunno, think that's it? @Twilight, that means if Poke can have like a ton of instruments in him.)
He decided to look around town for more heartless, so Poke continued his walk through town, before grabbing a nearby pot with a plant in it, probably intending it for heartless to not recognize him. He continued his walk while holding the plant, hiding behind it. He noticed a boy summoning a squirrel, before smirking. Family... He thought to himself. He snapped back to reality, and then, on instinct, turned to see a shadow that's running off. "Gah!" He dropped the pot, summoning his keyblade, before throwing it at the runaway shadow. His keyblade disappeared, and so did the shadow, before smiling at his 'skills.' He then started to wonder if the summoner behind him would take notice, and slowly turned his head, to see if he was staring at him like he was strange...Well, he was strange, but the boy would probably think he's stranger than how high Poke would think he's strange.

 

Rat tilted his head on an angle, confused at the strange boy that had thrown the pot. Now why would you do that? he wondered curiously. He hit the ground gently twice with his right hand, signalling Rusty to get off. Sleepily, Rusty got up and jumped down onto the ground with a slight yawn. It then fell down onto the ground, falling asleep once more.

Rat shook his head. "Always the same, lazy squirrel. I should start imagining you more active, or you'll start to get fat" he said quietly. He looked up at the boy once again. He saw no reason to talk to him, but then remembered the key that had been summoned. What a strange weapon.. he thought. He stood up and nudged Rusty with his foot, waking the squirrel up. He slowly walked over to the boy, somewhat curious about his actions.

 

ooc: Renee, Alexander, Dakota, Keel and Poke are in Twilight Town.

Renee stared at the girl, her face pale from terror. "Wh-what? You can't! That's wrong! Wait!" She'd started to walk away from Renee. Scrambling up, Renee chased after her. "Why would you want to destroy the worlds? Who are you?" Stopping, the girl rounded on Renee, silver eyes blazing in the darkness of her hood. "Shut up! Just SHUT UP! No more questions! I'm not about to explain myself to a lowly kid like you!" The second she started yelling, Unversed popped up around Twilight Town, attacking people and Heartless alike. She turned on her heel again and tossed a wave behind her, "Xenree is my name...pain is my profession."

 

(Umm....Here's one: Poke was playing a guitar, before breaking it by smacking it against a heartless. He took out a flute and banged it against a nobody. And finally, he took out bongos and slammed it down on an unverseds face. Sort of like that...XD)
He saw the boy come to him, likely wanting to ask something, to which he said, "Oh bugger." He randomly ran off, not currently in the mood to deal with questions. He ran towards the sandlot, to which ended up in another encounter with the heartless. "Ole, new challenger approaching." Summoning his keyblade, he got ready for the fight, but instead, decided to let them have the first move. A shadow knocked him over, playing around on his back. "Get your foot off me!" He swung his arms behind his head, smashing off the shadow, before getting off, dusting himself off, and grabbing a handful of sand. He threw the sand around him, before some of the heartless got distracted. He threw his keyblade at the same time he jumped to the opposite direction of his throw, landing on the face of a heartless and jumping off of it, while the keyblade spun, destroying many of the shadows. He caught it, and just as he was going to get kicked in the face by a shadow, he stabbed his blade through it's head. And that ends the battle. "I need to get a challenger....Roar." He muttered, before de-summoning his keyblade and walking off.

 

ooc: I'd rather not. It makes for irratic combat. And Nobodies don't exist anymore. Only Unversed and Heartless here.

OOC: I didn't want to make my first post a wall of text (even though it sort-of is right now), So consider this my first post: part 2.

After reminiscing about his days with Maleficent and Riku, Nikolai stood up off of the cliff he was sitting on. "Maybe it's time I left this place. I can't go back to the Islands...If they're even still there..(OOC: Nikolai doesn't know of Sora's adventure, so he thinks the Islands are still destroyed). But where else is there to go? I could try Twilight Town...I was only there once on a mission for Maleficent...Yeah, I'll go to Twilight Town." Nikolai said. He attempted to open a dark portal to Twilight Town. It was a difficult task, using up a good amount of energy, but a successful one nonetheless. He stepped through the Dark Portal and immediately emerged inside the Twilight Town train station. He could see the sunlight shining in through the glass doors up ahead. "Is it always evening here?" Nikolai thought. He stepped through the doors, only to be greeted by a pack of Unversed. "First Heartless, now THESE!?" He said to himself, summoning his Keyblade. They were simple Unversed, so Nikolai quickly disposed of them with a few quick swipes of his keyblade. "I can't help but feel like something's...wrong." He said, walking through the city. He could hear some fighting and yelling coming from the Sandlot, so he headed there. Maybe other fighters would do him well, as fighter usually don't judge based on appearance...usually.

 

"If he thinks he's going to escape me that easily, then he's got another thing coming" Rat said quietly to himself. He concentrated, and de-summoned Rusty. Then, envisioning yet another animal, he repeated the summoning process he had used before, this time thinking of a griffin.

In mere seconds, Rat was airborne, riding upon a mighty griffin as he soared through the air, following the boy. He saw the boy run to the sandlot, and promptly followed him, commanding his Griffin to swoop down towards the boy in the hopes of frightening the life out of him. "Ah how pitiful some people are" he said with a small laugh as he dove towards Poke.

 

Poke didn't notice the flying griffin with a passenger on it. He just kept walking, until he passed something gleaming on the ground. He caught the gleam out of the corner of his eye. Wanting to know what it is, he moon walked towards the gleaming thing and looked down to get a closer look, just missing being frightened. "Is that a penny?" He picked it up and looked at it, before throwing it off. "Weird..." He turned to face the way he was going, then noticed the griffin and the boy. "AUGH!" Out of alarm, he summoned his keyblade and pointed it at him. And with probably the fastest voice in the wild west of the planet Earth, he said, "Who are you and why did you attempt to attack me and if you don't answer then I will slap the sauce out of you." His face turned in to a scowl. He obviously didn't like sneak attacks that much, and that was a sign of not to mess with his very hateful hates.

 

As the last few heartless surrounding Keel vanishd by his keyblade, a even greater number of heartless showed up. Can't you let eme rest. He thought before a bunch of unversed appeared and started fighting the heartless. Seeing his chance, Keel snuck away from the sandlot and heart towards the station. Maybe from the cloctower he could see the entire situation.

 

Dakota heard a faint yell [Poke's "AGH"] from Twilight Town."You'd think We would have evolved enough to stop using Cave men Noises!" He yelled loudly back,Not expecting his message to be received but He just yelled it anyway.He sighed and got up.He De-summoned his keyblade and walked toward the Castle with a gate and a lock. "A big lock and I have a big key....Hmm.This is hardly hard to figure out." He summoned his key and jabbed it at the lock.It stood there unharmed.He jumped back,It all came to him so fast,just flowing from his heart through his arms to the keyblade,His eyes shut.Before his eyes shut he could see a beam of light streaming from his key.The lock opened. "Freaking Finally." He said very loudly and kept walking through the gates.

 

"Ah, you don't need to know my name" Rat said, bringing the Griffin to a quick halt in mid-air. "But that key thing you're holding, what is it, and what's the purpose of it?" Rat questioned. He spun the spear once, just to show that he too had a weapon.

OOC: Sorry for short post, kinda busy XD

 

"I guess we should leave as soon as possible," Sora answered to Riku. He wasn't too sure about leaving Kairi behind again. It had been so long since the two of them were together again, not having to worry about the balance of the worlds. Not to mention, she was a Princess of Heart, so she had to be protected. She was one of the Keys to opening Kingdom Hearts. He didn't want her to be taken by the wrong kind of people again, and he genuinely did care for Kairi. "Where would we go, Riku? Where would we start looking?"

Nox loved playing things from behind the scenes. He didn't want to simply play on the sidelines anymore, he wanted to make things happen. That was why he sent that giant Heartless to attack Alexander in Twilight Town. He knew Alexander was able to take it on alone; Nox was a piece of Alexander after all. Nox wasn't a Nobody; he didn't quite fit the criteria. He felt emotion, although in more of a perverted sense of the word. He felt absolute enjoyment causing harm towards others. Sending out the Heartless against Alexander was only the beginning of what was going to happen.

Nox also was the one who sent out the Heartless against Kirra. He needed her to get a move on. "It's all apart of the plan," He muttered to himself as he watched her leave Traverse Town. He then opened a dark corridor to make his way towards Twilight Town, outside of the old abandoned mansion. He saw Alexander fighting off the Heartless, sending an ice attack at the creature and defeating him. Nox pulled up his hood and slowly made himself known to Alexander.

"Took you long enough," Nox told Alexander in a cool voice.

Alexander wasn't sure what was going on. He had no idea who the man in black was. Before he could even say anything, the man in the black coat summoned his Keyblade. There was no time for small talk; it was either fight or be killed.

 

Dakota hadn't noticed them until he heard Nox speak.He didn't draw attention,He jumped behind some bushes hoping he hadn't been seen.Leaves scraped all over his body from the bush.He hadn't un-summoned his key,so he hoped it didn't reflect light and sparkle or anything.He was just gonna stand back and wait for them to fight it out.

 

Riku patted Sora on the head, "Where else? Twilight Town. We'll start there." He sighed, "I'd say we have an easy way to get there...but...I can't use the darkness anymore. Oh, the King sent you another message. Here." He handed Sora a bottle with a note inside.

Sora, Riku, Kairi,
Yen Sid and I noticed a lot more Heartless appearing in the worlds. I need you to check it out. After you gather a bit of information, come see me.

Xenree left Renee standing by the Station and walked calmly to the Sandlot. She ignored the people she passed. With each step, Unversed sprang up in her wake, one after the other more powerful than the last. Soon...little one...soon. You'll be in a world that I call home and it will be lovely and covered in everlasting darkness.

 

As Keel contiued to make his way towards the Station, he ran completly past Xenree. Eventhough he didn't stop he felt a tremendous aura of darkness around her. What the heck was that. He thought as he made it to the station. Once there he saw that someone else was being attacked by heartless and unversed. Great, just great.

 

OOC: I'm the only one in Radiant Garden?
BIC: Carrie sighed as she walked through the streets of Radiant Garden. There wasn't much to do around here-then again she hadn't had much fun since Lea and Isa had been gone. She never really realized had important they had been to her-they had really and truly been her best friends. She missed them- though it was comforting to have the members of the Restoration Committee she just couldn't help but miss them. She continued walking down the street Heartless appeared around her.
"Damned Heartless!" She cussed. She summoned her keyblade, The Fire Within, and slashed at the heartless. One by one she defeated the Heartless... This sucked... That meant... The Heartless were back...

 

He looked around, before smirking at Rat's answer. "Ah, but you don't need to know the purpose and what this thing is, too! Heck, I don't know what it is either..." He lied. It was simply for what he wondered what would happened next, and he knew what would happen. He was a fortune teller? No, because he was going to make the next action by running off, de-summoning his keyblade. He then quickly summoned it back, and doing a moonwalk straight to the appearing unversed. He turned to see Xenree. "What in the name of pickled blue berry pie?" He yelled, at surprise in the sudden appearances of the unversed. Thinking that it might have come from the girl, he asked, "Hey, who are you, and what's with the Unversed?" He ignored Rat, mostly putting his focus on the unversed and on Xenree. There's a lot more bad dudes here than I thought. Poke thought to himself.
