Kingdom Hearts: Chasing Shadows

Riku tapped furiously on the keyboard, "We're not going to be okay for much longer. Hold tight everyone, we're going to have to do some fancy tricks here."

Sei gripped Akii and skidded along the floor with the little girl. They both looked like little pieces of Xenree running around on the ship.

A large ship turned slowly, following the gummi ship as it started to leave the space around Pride Lands. "The Ifrit is impossible to outrun, little Keyblade wielders. Face your fates and admit that you have no future."

 

*bump* anybody?

 

Alexander braced himself in the cabin of the gummi ship, hanging on to Kirra. He wasn't quite sure how all of this was even possible; he didn't think that there was any way for them to escape the attacks on the ship. He noticed that Sora and Riku were doing their best to navigate the ship. He staggered to the front of the ship, groaning. "Is there any way that I can help," He asked, speaking with a minor annoyance.

"We need to get rid of the guy behind us," Sora said, unsure of exactly how they were going to get out of this situation. "Speak up if you have any bright ideas?"

 

Carrie held onto the wall of the gummi ship and closed her eyes tight. She suddenly wished she knew how to drive how to drive a gummi ship...

 

OOC: I'm back, very sorry about the long break between posts. My parents grounded me for a few weeks.
BIC:

Mark struggled his way to the cockpit of Sora's ship, hanging on to the door frame so he wouldn't go flying from the tight manuvers. "Here's an idea, I can help you guys get away from these people, but I need to be in my own ship, can one of you teleport me back to our landing zone? Like those guys in the desert were doing?" he asked, small, harmless flames flickering in between his fingers as he stared at Riku. ​

 

Riku glanced backwards and glared at Mark, "Don't look at me! The power of darkness left me a long time ago! Ask one of the kids."

Sei slid along the floor as Riku made another slick turn, barely in time to dodge the focused laser from the Ifrit behind them. "I'm not a kid! My name is Seiren Parenthapaeus and I will get you to where you need be." He shut his eyes and bit his lip but nothing happened. Akii's silver eyes flashed once and a Dark Corridor opened in front of them. She clung to Sei and they slid through the dark corridor.

Renee gaped at the turn of events and Riku's fingers skittered across the keyboard, "Oh this is not good..."

Ahead of them a Giant Heartless soared towards them and rammed into the gummi ship.

 

Kirra sighed, but only for a moment. She had realized that they have been taken from one kind of danger to another. "Aki, why did you bring us here," Kirra asked in a worried tone. Kirra looked around the room, but couldn't find Aki anywhere. "Aki..Hey, where did she go?"

Sora looked out at the heartless. By the size of the creature itself, it had reminded him of his journey through Monstro. The monster certainly seemed large enough to swallow the entire ship whole, but what if they can't find a way out. It was a heartless though, meaning that they could probably take it out with a Keyblade. The time it could take to bring it down though could be far too long.

"Ram into it," Alexander yelled out as he pushed both Sora and Riku forward. The ship seemed to become off balance, as everyone floated around the room. The gummi ship and struck the heart less on top of its head.

 

-Mark-

Mark didn't waste any time in jumping through the portal after Sei. Mark's keyblade appeared with a burst of spiralling flames as he jumped through the portal, ready for whatever might be on the other side. ​

-Kairi-

Kairi dashed through the doorway and slammed it shut behind her. Kairi leaned against the wall as she caught her breath and scanned the hall with her bright blue eyes, the west wing of the Beast's castle. "Hello? Princess? Anybody?" she called out, standing up again and walking slowly into the hall, her keyblade held in a defensive position as did so.

"So,what now?" Keel asked after the ship had ram into the heartless head.

 

Mark's ship

Sei, Akii and Mark landed inside Mark's ship with a thud. Akii squealed and started to cry, calling out for Riku. "Papa....!"

Gummi Ship

Riku shoved Alexander backwards, growling at him, "Do that again and I'll murder you! Do you want to get us killed?" He glanced back as Kirra started asking where Akii was, "Akii?! Where did she go!? Sora, take control for a minute!" Riku let go of the controls and inside Sora's head a girl's voice spoke up from somewhere deep in the darkness, "Sora...let me handle this. I can do it."

Beast's Castle

Belle poked her head out from behind the closet, her deep brown eyes filled with fear.

Corrine and Marluxia glowered at eachother. Corrine turned halfway to see Genji and Tooi fleeing the foyer and chasing after Kairi, "You will not harm her!" Marluxia's scythe blocked his way as Corrine tried to chase after them.

 

"Oh hell!" Carrie called as she saw the Sei, Aki, and Mark go through the portal,but not being able to reach it before it closed. "God damn it all...," the Brunette mumbled. "That portal could have taken them anywhere..."

 

-Mark-

Mark clambered up into the pilot's seat, looking back at the tangled forms of Akii and Sei behind him, "crap... I've only got two seats in this thing!" he said as he glanced around the small, fighter-like craft. Mark's ship didn't even have a boarding ramp, the only way to get in and out was the cockpit canopy.

"Sei, get in the co-pilot's seat, keep her in your lap!" Mark commanded, buckling himself into the harness and lowering the canopy, "this is going to get really shaky, you both need to be strapped in!"
The small ship's engines hummed as Mark started the power-up sequence.​

-Kairi-

Kairi reached out to Belle with her left hand, "take my hand, we need to get out of here, they're going to be here any minute," she said, keyblade still in-hand, glancing around the room to look for a possible escape route.​

 

"THUNDER!" And just like that, lightning appeared, aiming for the giant heartless. Poke was holding his keyblade and was floating aimlessly in space, before his keyblade turned in to vehicle mord;a hoverboard. Getting on, he rode towards the ship, before he was now directly next to it, flying at the same pace. He waved to the passengers, and yelled, "Sorry I'm late!"

 

OOC; sorry for the delay! On with the show!

Sei strapped himself into the chair and hugged Akii to him. "W-will this thing fly with three passengers?"

Belle shook her head and pulled Kairi into the wardrobe, shutting the door in time as Genji and Tooi burst into the room. "Well? Where'd they go?" "You expect ME to know? C'mon! Just look!"

Corrine snapped at Marluxia, his bell jingling.

 

Sora felt the sweat pouring down his cheeks. "Huh," Sora said out loud. The voice in his head caught him by surprise. His mind felt like it was being put on auto pilot. What's going on, he thought as it seemed his arms grabbed onto the controller unconsiously.

 

-Mark-

Mark nodded, "yeah, it'll fly, it just isn't quite as safe with the two of you in one seat... but it'll have to do," he replied to Sei, raising the fighter up into a hover, then pushing the throttle forward and streaking up toward space.

The Pride Lands shrank behind them as they rocketed toward Sora's Gummi ship. Mark's fighter rolled through space, the smooth red hull speckled with distorted reflections of the stars.

-Kairi-

Kairi held her breath, peering out through the wardrobe's closed doors with one eye, silent as a mouse. ​

 

Sei's eyes grew wide and Akii shrieked like a wild banshee.

Belle waited until the one called Tooi was half-way poking out of under her bed and Genji was standing idly by the closet door. Shoving it open, she knocked Genji over, grabbed Kairi's hand and ran out the door with Genji yelling after them.

Sora drove the Gummi ship up until they hovered above the Heartless and Riku was nearing the door. Slapping the button to open the door, Riku was sucked out and fell towards the Heartless. Sora's voice changed, sounding...girly as he shouted after him, "Riku, use the Keyblade!"

 

-Mark-

Mark's ship flashed past beneath the falling Riku, raining down a hail of cannon bolts on the giant heartless. Mark winced at the shrieking noise that the poor little girl was making, but nothing could be done about it, and he just banked the ship into a wide turn, cutting back on his speed so he could manuver the ship well enough to not crash into the heartless.

-Kairi-

Kairi summoned her keyblade as she and Belle ran, the redhead glanced over her shoulder occassionally, trusting Belle to lead her well enough that she wouldn't have to watch where she was going. ​

 

Kirra was awestruck when she heard the words coming out of Sora's mouth. At first, she simply thought she was hearing things in her mind. Either way, she approached him cautiously. "Is everything okay, Sora?"

Sora heard Kirra's words, but they sounded very distant. He could barely make out what was in front of him; his sight seemed completely blurry. Whose there? Who are you?
