Kingdom Hearts: Chasing Shadows

Kairi glared up at the doors after they shut... Verius is in trouble, she thought, then shook her head, running and jumping up, grabbing the rail with her left arm and hauling herself over it, No... I have to find the other princess, she decided, running up the staircase and into the west wing of the castle.​

-Mark-

Mark growled and summoned his chrome-colored keyblade into his mouth, flames flickering along his length. He strafed sideways on his four paws, tail still lashing, and moved to stand beside Riku, "wha'd we do now?" he muttered past his keyblade-filled jaws.​

 

Riku growled at Sora, "Sora, you're not nearly as strong as I am. Let me handle her and you go take on that guy and Xigbar!" he jerked his head towards Xigbar and Nox.

Xenree tilted her head, "It doesn't matter...if I kill them all...the Heart has no choice but to show itself, correct? I'll have defeated the strongest either way." She seemed pleased with her answer and smirked, shifting her stance into a more violent one. Raising her Keyblade above her head, Xenree twitched her fingers towards Sora. "Come at me then...if you think you can beat me."

 

"No way Riku," Sora said in a cocky voice. "I'm not going to let you have all the fun."

Summoning his Keyblade, he took a running jump towards Xenree. His eyesight was locked onto her, preparing himself to strike her. Unconsciously, he was thundraga magic across the entire area, hoping that a few lightning bolts would strike down his enemy.

"Oh no you don't," Nox said ready to attack Sora. Before he could strike though, he just barely was able to dodge Alexander's fire raid. He growled, staring at his enemy.

"Mark, help me with this one," Alexander quickly said, catching his Keyblade back in his mouth.

 

Xenree's smile turned full blown as she clashed with Sora, the impact causing the ground around them to crack. "Hmph. So smug...but for how long?" She pushed him away and jumped after him, keeping Sora airborne as she lashed out at him with Keyblade in hand. A feinted strike to the left and Xenree cast Dark Firaga at point blank distance as a bolt of Thundaga struck her left arm.

 

"Gah!"

Sora grunted as he was struck by Xenree's Dark Firaga attack, but he was able to see that she was hit by one of his thunder bolts. With a smirk on his face, he wildly swung his Keyblade at her, hoping the impact would knock her back as much as it could and interrupt her spell.

 

Xenree flipped backwards, over Sora's attack and landed neatly on the ground. She shook her arm with an irritated look on her face when Riku launched himself at her. Sidestepping him, Xenree grabbed his tail and flung him a distance away. "Childs play..." Xenree released her Keyblade, "Seems a bit unfair to fight when I'm in this form and you're...as a little cub. Shows how little you've grown, Sora. Two years ago...you looked like this too, did you not? Seems to me...you haven't grown at all!" She dashed at him, magic burning in her palm when jagged lines of white and black caught up with her and wrapped around her arms and legs, restricting her movements. "What?" She looked back and found Lucretia with a pale hand placed on the World Heart. Black vines coiled up around it and a Nobody symbol with black thorns piercing into it and around it burned itself into the Heart. "We need not such a weak Heart. This world holds no Princess of Light and thus...it's not needed. This world...will exist in a realm of darkness, overrun by Heartless. Let's go, Xenree." Xenree dropped to the ground and Lucretia slipped into her shadow. "Grr..." She cast hatefilled silver eyes towards Sora.

 

Sora had gotten really frustrated now. He didn't like this feeling of being completely helpless. He looked out and saw that the world was being taken over by the darkness. It was Agrabah all over again. There was no way that he could stop what was happening now. This world, his friends, they were going to disappear into the darkness. He had tried his best, but it wasn't good enough. He was ready to attack until Alexander came to his side. "Sora, we have to leave, now," He told him in an urgent voice.

"R-right," Sora said, getting back to the group. "Everyone; we need to evacuate. We'll save this place another day."

 

Xenree smiled malicously. "Save it? Another day? This world will remain in existance...but it's people will fight a neverending war against the Heartless. Unlike Agrabah and the worlds with a Princess of Heart, this one will stay. It's World Heart remains beneath it's crust. I have no further use for this world...but it will serve as a training ground for you Sora." She snapped her fingers and a giant Heartless formed behind her. It's massive jaws gaping wide and four large feet beat on the ground as it pranced around in a circle, tail wagging happily as three tall palm trees swayed on it's back, like a tiny island.

 

"This isn't good," Sora said, backing himself away from the giant monsters. The entire group was being forced into a circle by the giant heartless, all of them backed into a group. He ran out to strike one of the heartless, trying to take them down. "Simba! Everyone! We need to take care of these guys."

 

-Mark-

Mark growled, mumbling past his keyblade's hilt, "why do we have to be animals for this? This would be so much easier if I just had arms!"
With that he tightened his jaws on his keyblade and stood next to Sora, tail lashing, muscles tensed as if about to pounce.​

 

Sora began fighting off the dark beings, but he began to feel weak. He didn't know the kind of mess he was getting into. He looked around at all of his friends, worried about how weak everyone was getting. Saving the Pride Lands was something he wanted to do, but he wasn't willing to risk the safety of all of his friends. But, of course, leaving would mean leaving Simba and the other lions to deal with the darkness.

"We have to go, now," Sora said. He called upon the gummi ship, which was now hovering about them. A beam came from the bottom, bringing all of them inside.

Before I start posting, can I get a recap in what's happend so far?

 

OOC: Recap - Sora and his gang went to the Pride Lands, discovering Lucien Sanki in the Graveyard. Greeted by Xigbar, Sora and gang were led to Pride Rock, meeting Nox and witnessing the arrival of Xenree. Being introduced informally to Lucretia, Sora and gang lost the Pride Lands' World Heart to Xenree's dark power and fled the scene. Meanwhile in Beast's Castle, Kairi and her new companion Verius explored the castle, only to be attacked by Marluxia and three new mysterious people aquainted with Marluxia?

 

OOC: So, their heading back to the Gummi Ship?

 

The beam struck Sora and his friends. In a matter of seconds, they were all back inside the Gummi Ship, back into their human forms. Alexander collapsed to on the floor of the ship, catching his breath. Kirra aided her brother in standing, taking him to one of the seats. She wasn't quite sure why all of this was happening, why Alexander seemed so out of it. Sora went to the cockpit, looking out at what now remained of the Pride Lands. He knew that the only way to save it was to stop this new threat. "I think we need to go see the King," Sora said to Riku.

 

Riku rubbed his shoulder, it felt sore from his scirmish with Lucien. "We don't even know where he is. I suppose the first stop to check would be Disney Castle..."

Xenree rubbed her eyes. "Xigbar, Nox...head to Beast's Castle and check on Marluxia and Nickolai. Lucien...come with me back home."

 

OOC: I'm so sorry I haven't posted :( Please do forgive me... School as been very mean lately...
BIC: When Carrie leaned on one of the walls of the gummi ship and cussed. "God damn it..." she muttered. "There has to be some way to beat her!" she looked and Sei and sighed and put an arm around the younger boy's shoulders. "No offense or anything meant..." She then nodded her head in agreement with Sora and Riku. "I never met your King Mickey,but I think he'll probably know what to do. From what I've heard he seems pretty smart,"

 

OOC: Due to lack of Internet at my house I haven't been able to post that much.

Keel followed behind Sora and the other back to the Gummi Ship. "Well if you guys know him, I'm pretty sure he'll be helpful."

 

Sora looked out at the group around him. "King Mickey is really helpful; he may even understand a lot about what's been going on. If not, at least it's a starting point." He then noticed how exhausted he was from the situation at the Pride Lands. He felt he couldn't afford to know what his weaknesses are.
