Kingdom Hearts: Chasing Shadows

Marluxia lifted an eyebrow and flicked his hair over his shoulder, "Ah, yes... My mind is elsewhere." Opening a dark corridor in the wall was harder than he thought. It wavered before opening fully, "The Princess of Heart must still live here."

Riku shoved aside Sora and guided the ship down into the Pride Lands carefully. "We're here. Everybody pile out!"

Xenree clung to Vanitas like hair on soap with Larxene and Zexion following behind. "I simply adore you."

"Kairi...Princess Kairi... Come...come to the cave...you know the one...the place you hold so many dear memories... Kairi~" a soft voice purred in Kairi's mind, beckoning her towards the cave she and Sora played in.

 

Sora thought back to how he was able to use the Keyblade in the first place. It was because of Riku and what he did to the Islands. He never gave up on his friend though, and in the end, that helped him. Riku was still Riku, even with the discovery of his "daughter". "Alright everyone, let's get going." Sora signaled for them to leave the ship and into the Elephant Graveyard. He was back in his lion cub form, remembering his last adventure here. "You guys might notice some changes. This is...normal for this world. Just follow me and you all should be fine."

"This is so... bizarre," Kirra commented. She looked around at the group. She too was transformed into a lion, with her fur the same color as her hair. Her brother seemed to have grown some kind of mane.

"Let's just get going," Nox told Xigbar. He didn't want Xigbar to have the benefit of getting to him. He ran straight into the jungle, beginning to look for the new recruit while fighting off Heartless that stood in his path. "What's the name of this guy we're suppose to be finding again?"

 

Mark brought his ship in for a landing, setting it down not too far from Sora's gummi ship. He broke the seal on his cockpit canopy, and hit a button to open it, then he climbed out of the cockpit and shut it behind him. He jumped down off the red wings of his ship, and by the time he hit the ground he was a lithe adolecent cheetah, though his dog tags (cheetah tags?) still hung around his neck. After taking a few minutes to get accustomed to moving around in this form, he padded over to Sora's ship to see that the others too had transformed. "This is... strange," he muttered, batting at a bit of his hair as it hung into his eyes, "how are we going to do things when we don't have hands?"

 

Carrie walked out of the ship and almost immediately, she changed. In a flash she was no longer a human but a Lioness with light brown fur and dark brown eyes... Oh this was just great. As she heard Sora talk, she rolled her eyes. "Well this is going to take some gettin used too..."

 

Riku chuckled, sitting down with a mewling kitten in his mouth. "You think your life sucks here... Akii is just a baby here." He set her down and licked his silver fur. "I dislike being a lion. I get hairballs..." Unlike Sora, Riku was a full grown lion, with a fluffy silver mane and bright blue eyes. "Sora...you're still a cub? When are you gonna grow up?" Akii lifted her tiny head, "Motions are difficult in this form...but not impossible. Keep moving forward."

Xigbar scratched his chin, "I think it was...Lu....something? I'm not good with names." He took one step and fell into the small pond of the oasis.

Xenree returned hom, feeling rather nostaligic. The walls blurred around her and she gripped Vanitas' arm tighter, "Wh-what....ohhhh..." The world tipped sideways and her head struck the floor hard. "My Lady!" the remaining Organization XIII members cried out. Lifting her into a bed, they stood around her.

Renee sat on the ship. She didn't feel like going on an adventure at the moment. Closing her eyes, she drifted off into sleep filled with a nightmarish city of black towers and filthy streets. Each person looked human....but they all bore odd green jagged marks on their skin somewhere. A woman with her markings on her right arm waved to Renee and smiled, "G'morning, Dr. Rayleigh! I'm pleased to see you look happy this morning." Renee looked around, realizing the woman wasn't talking to her, but to the taller man standing next to her. He wore a white lab coat and had features similar to hers. Dr...Rayleigh? But that's my name.

 

Shinji joined the others and felt...strange as he was on all fours and looked at his... ha- no wait paws, he was a red lion with a black mane and dark underbelly as he attempted to walk. "Now I know how tough four legged animals have for them, walking on four legs isn't exactly something you get used to unless you like crawling around alot." he pointed out.

 

Once Keel had stepped out of the ship, he found himself to be a a lion with white fur and a black mane, but that wasn't the strange part. His left arm was black and his right arm matched his fur. "Why do I have to be the strange looking one."

 

Nikolai stopped when Marluxia mentioned a Princess Of Heart. "Princess Of Heart, huh? Maybe this "Princess" is the one the Queen is after?" he said before stepping through the portal and into the castle.

 

Mark pads up to Riku, getting used to walking on all fours, "so, what now, I assume you're the keyblade master that I spoke to?" he asks, thinking Riku to be the master since he looked older than the others. Mark summoned his keyblade, gripping it in his teeth, then turning it so Riku could see it, he would have said something as well, but his mouth was kinda full at the moment.

 

ooc: don't forget Kairi. The words in magenta a few posts back are for her.

Kairi blinked, putting a hand to her temple, then glancing up at the cave, it's been years since I've been in there, she thought, but... if it's like last time, this might be my ticket off Destiny Islands. Kairi did her best to control her excitement, summoning her keyblade, and then crouching slightly so she could fit into the tunnel opening, careful not to hit her head on the low ceilling. Brushing a hanging root aside with one arm, keyblade pointed ahead with the other, she emerged into the room at the end of the tunnel, glancing around at all the chalk drawings.

 

In the corner, under a hanging of roots, a multi-tailed fox sat patiently. It's tails were pink leading into blue. It's paws were also covered in blue fur, where as the rest of it was a more sandy color. "Welcome Princess... I am Verius. I'm here to lead you to a place that needs your help. Will you come?" Verius asked in a purring voice. He stood and jingled the bell around his neck.

Riku nodded, "I'm one of the Keyblade Masters. My friend Sora is one too." he jerked his head towards the little brown cub. "So you're Mark. Well...the more the better I guess. It'll take a while to find Sora's friends probably. Who knows...Sora, why don't you lead the way."

Marluxia followed, his thoughts running wild with rebellion ideas. "So...until we find the mysterious friend that Lady Xenree has asked us to find....do you propose we drop in on the Princess and her Beast and cause a little panic?" Marluxia didn't like getting his hands dirty, but he did want to obtain the Princess of Heart. She would be useful in his further endevours to take what power Xenree had and Xemnas and use it against them.

Kairi blinked in surprise at the talking fox-like creature, "where is this place?" she asked, a bit confused, I'll help people if they need help... but I don't want to walk into another trap. she thought to herself, eyeing Verius.
Kairi walked up to the fox being, and crouched down so she was eye to eye with him, her keyblade held relaxed at her side, left hand wiping her hair out of her eyes.

Mark grinned at this, and disspelled his chrome-colored keyblade, then padded after Riku, not wanting to be left behind, "so, how did all you guys meet up?" he asked, his tail flicking back and forth, eyes turning to take in all the other keyblade weilders. "I've never seen another keyblade weilder before, how did you find so many of us?"

 

Shinji heard the question and spoke as he followed Sora's lead as suggested by Riku. "Met Sora nd Riku in Twilight Town, doing the usual, wiping out any Heartless that roamed the streets and by accident, fell ito the sme portal they were in, so I decided to join them at the prospect of adventure and seeing new worlds."

"ALthough, this world is certainly special, not everyone transforms into a animal, perhaps the law of this place?" he thought to himself.

 

Nikolai chuckled. "Why not? I could use some entertainment." He said, an evil smirk on his face.

 

"Well, I guess we'll know him when we see him," Nox said to Xigbar. He found himself running faster than he expected, while he was exploring the Pride Lands. In the distance he noticed a large rock formation. it almost looked like a castle. it certainly looked like the most distinguished place in the entire world. "I say we go check that out," He said to Xigbar.

"We all just happened to meet each other," Sora said, trying to not remember what happened to his friends in Agrabah. "I have a few friends here; maybe he can help us with what's going on. We need to head over to a place called Pride Rock. Just stick with, and we should all be safe. Aye?"

"Aye!"

"Aye."

 

"I'm Carrie,Nice to meet you" said the lioness simply to Mark. She too didn't wanna think about what happened in Agrabah-much less what happened back on her own homeworld. "Whatever you say, Sora<" said Carrie, agreeing with the Pride Rock idea.

 

Mark Smiled, showing his sharp cheetah teeth, then followed Sora and the others, glancing around at the dessert around them, "there are tons of rocks out here, how are we going to recognize this so-called 'Pride Rock'?" he asked, following the lions as best he could. And I wonder if there are any predators out here, aside from us? I'd hate to run into a pack of hyeenas, he thought grimmly to himself, not voicing his fears.

OOC: I'm pretty sure that I misspelled Hyeenas, if anyone has a spelling correction I'd gladdly take it.

Shinji looked at Mark. "Sora's been to this world and knows the terrain perhaps better than all of us, but if I'd have to phantom a guess, it'll be one that's more likely to be different from the rest of these." he explained to him and saw the large strench of land Sora led them to.

"You could fit about hundred or more Gummi Ships here." he said whistling, well he doubted a hundred could barely cover this place

Mark grinned "A few thousand actually, depending on the size of the ships," he replied, padding along next to Shinji, his cheetah tail lashing back and forth. "If we were to get only fighter class ships, like mine, then it would take almost a million, but ships like the one you were on, we could probably do it with just under twenty thousand."
