Kingdom Hearts: Chasing Shadows

Sei's silver eyes filled with tears, "Momma...momma...MOMMA!" His white hair flying, Sei ran towards her......only to stop abruptly as a black and gray Keyblade fizzled into the air in front of him, pointing at his throat. His silver eyes widened in fear and shock, but they never left Xenree's face.

Xenree's silver eyes skimmed to Sei and narrowed in anger. Gritting her teeth she hissed, "I told you to keep fools away from this place, Nox! You deliberatly disobeyed me and acted like an idiot!" She turned on her heel quickly and back-handed Nox across the face. Shutting her eyes, Xenree snarled, "I'm ashamed of you Seiren...don't you dare come close to me...not with that foul stench of light hanging off you!" Sei's little chest stopped moving for a minute before the tears collected in his eyes spilled over his pale cheeks. "Momma...I'm...I'm sorry! PLEASE --!" He stopped when Xenree lifted her hand and cast a glare at Sora over her shoulder. Raising Dark Void over her head she slammed it into the World Heart, repeatedly, "I hate you! I hate you! I hate you! I hate you!" Darkness poured from her and her Keyblade, soaking into the injured World Heart and the World itself.

 

Nox was ready to respond that there was no way that he could stop them, but he was cut off by her slap. It hurt him, in more ways than one. He felt his heart aching, a strange tug in the pit of his stomach.

"Why isn't anyone trying to stop her," Kirra yelled, summoning her Keyblade. She was ready to throw a Strike Raid at Xenree when Nox came in to attack. She blocked, but just barely, and felt relieved.

Nox wasn't quite sure what he was doing at this point. He wasn't too pleased with what Xenree had done to him, but he still felt a need to protect her. It wasn't a logical kind of move, that much he knew. He knew Kirra from Alexander's memories; he was the younger sister that Alexander believed he lost all those years ago. Nox could feel the power inside her; she was much stronger than he had last encountered her. He was ready to fight though; to protect his Queen and ensure her safety.

 

"Sei No! Don't go near here!" Carrie shouted as the boy just ran towards his mother. Her eyes widened in shock as the woman's keyblade appeared near Sei's throat. Carrie couldn't help it... She was mad-fuck she was beyond mad she was fucking pissed... That witch...that evil witch did not just try to hurt her own son-she did not just try to hurt Sei.... She just couldn't believe this woman-who she promised to tell Sei find-was evil. Not just evil,but put her keyblade to his throat! Her own son! In pure rage Carrie summoned her own keyblade and ran forward to attack her. "Fire!" She shouted as she attempted to slash Sei's mother. Using her -and Lea's- favoirte element, Carrie hoped that she (Sei's mother of course) wouldn't be able to dodge this. It hurt her heart to think about Lea-she wasn't sure if she could ever forgive him for what he did. But now wasn't the time for that-now was the time for protecting Sei.

OOC: I can't remember, but Carrie never met Xenree right? Thus she doesn't know that she's Axel and Saix's "Queen"

 

Shinji had followed Sora and Kirra and listened to the conversation and Xenree's unrelenting rage and he quickly moved from behind Sora, heading for Xenree and summoend hsi Keyblae, Endless Freedom and just as he passed Seiren, he spoke. "Are you gonna cry all day or make a effort?" He asked him before noticing Carrie,. "Another Keyblade Wielder? This is getting too interesting now." He thought and saw Nox about to attack Carrie to protect the woman that broke into a rage and he sidestepped straight into Nox's path.

"Sorry, but two-on-one is quite unfair, especially to a lady." He said with a calm stare at the man, his keyblade loosely held in his right hand. "Oi, woman." He said loudly behind him to Carrie. "Try and hold out as long as you can."

 

Sei scrambled to his feet, his Keyblade flashing to his hand. Spinning as he jumped, Sei slashed through the fire spell from Carrie and landed with his back to his mother, "I won't let you hurt her... M-my friend...or not, Carrie...she's my mother. I...I won't lose her again." He stood firm, Keyblade held behind him (like Ventus' pose) and focused silver eyes on Carrie.

Xenree panted, dragging herself away from the Heart as it brokenly glittered, fading away into nothingness. "What...did you call my son? Sei... Is that what you want now, Seiren? To leave your mother like your father did?" Sei's face twisted in grief and pain, but he never turned around to face her. "It's not... I will defend you...even...if what you're doing is wrong."

Renee panted and came to a rest just beyond the battle. Her brown eyes took in Xenree and Sei standing so close and yet the emotional barrier thicker than anything. So the little boy with silver eyes truly was Xenree's son.

 

Keel let out a sigh, how were they stop Xenree if Sei was in their way. Guess it can't be helped He thought as he summoned his keyblade and got into a fighting position. "So, how're we supposed to stop her now?

 

Carrie resisted the urge to roll her eyes as she heard the unknown man's words behind her. Thank You... She thought to herself. Quickly Carrie's annoyance changed to shock and more saddness... She could not believe it... Sei had just help his mother- even after she had said such hurtful and terrible things to him. " Will you really defend her, Sei? While she may be your mother, she's probably not the mother you once knew... Just like my Lea and my Isa aren't the same anymore either...."

 

Nikolai watched as the World Heart faded from existence, the world that housed it soon following. "Just like what happened to this Islands. If only I wasn't so naive..." He said to himself as he snapped out of his trance. "Riku! You and I have some business to settle!" Nikolai yelled to Riku. He didn't care if Riku remembered him or not, he wanted to fight him. "Larxene, make sure none of his pathetic "friends" intervene. I've come too far to let him get away again." He said as he ran for Riku.

 

Nox stared out at what was happening around him. He didn't expect something like this to break out so soon. He backed off his attack, getting into his battle stance. "She was the one who threw out the first attack. This time though; it'll be my turn. Ahhh!" He threw out a firaga attack at the group, but Alexander came in to deflect the attack.

"You will not harm my sister or her friends," Alexander yelled out at Nox as he returned to his battle stance.

"Sora," Kirra called out a few feet away. "I'll take care of the girl with the fingernails. You take out the one whose hurting the world. You're the only one whose strong enough." She faced Larxene, ready to fight her. She prepared herself to perform a Strike Raid.

Sora took Kirra's suggestion, but he found himself being blocked off by Nox. Sora was surprised how well he was able to keep both him and
Alexander at bay at the same time.

 

Shinji spoke. "Go, Sora." He said as he looked at the man who deflected Nox's attack as he gave a small smirk in the corner of his mouth. "I don't know your name, but, you seem to know your stuff, now then..." He said to ALexander and looked at Nox, gripping his Keyblade firmly. "Let's make a show of it!" He said rather loudly and charged at Nox, bringing his keyblade from across the side.

 

Larxene snarled and rushed Kirra. "You wanna fight me, fine. But to save the world, Sora, you'll have to get past us all..." She gestured to Nox and Sei, "Cause we're the bad guys."

Riku and Akii clashed with Nickolai. "I don't know what you're talking about! Who are you?!"

Sei trembled, "But...mom...is alone, Carrie... I can't leave her. She may not be the same, but I can make her change her heart!" He stepped in the path of Sora, Keyblade in hand and silver eyes flashing.

Xenree chuckled, "You can't stop me. Ever. My desire...will become the desire of the entire universe. The second I come close, I will not hesitate to grasp what I want." Pure black, bat wings spread from her back and Xenree took to the sky. "Come then, Hero of Light and friends. Try to stop my rule!"

 

"Right," Alexander said, nodding at the stranger.

Nox had felt that he could take all of them at once. Alone, he matched up with with Alexander at an equal strength, but he had the power of darkness on his side. He trained himself in ways that those who fight for the light would be too proud to take on. He was focused on one thing: keeping them away from Xenree.

"Fine by me," Kirra said, starting to sound sure of herself.

Focusing on Larxene as her single target, Kirra threw her Keyblade at her, her insides burning with rage and power. The tip of the Keyblade itself caught on fire, turning the attacking into a hoaming Fire Raid.

 

"Sei..." said Carrie. She just didn't have the heart to tell him what she believed... That his mother had no heart... Just like Lea and Isa... She held onto her keyblade and moved closer to Sora, in aid him in fighting Sei's mother (whose name she still didn't know). "Sei, this is your last warning. I care about you-I really do. But I won't let this woman destroy the worlds,"

 

Guess that answer that question. Keel thought as he cast a aero on the ground around him and launched himself in the air towards Xenree. Odds are that someone would try to stop him, but as he tighten his grip on his keyblade, he readied himself for whatever would come his way.

 

Nikolai laughed at Riku's question, "Who am I? I'm only the student that Maleficent got through to, unlike you." Nikolai said. "Allow me to give you an example...BURN!!" He yelled as the tip of his keyblade exploded in a black inferno. "You see!? THIS is the power you gave up!"

 

Xenree twirled her Keyblade in her hands. A bolt of light shot from the ground where the World Heart had come out of and pierced through Xenree's chest. Her eyes went wide and blood spurted from her mouth. "Ah..."

Sei grabbed at his clothes, "Carrie..I... I have to protect her, why can't you understand! Huh? MOM!"

Larxene's attention jerked from Kirra to Xenree and in that second, Kirra's Fire Raid struck her. Tumbling head over heels in the sand, Larxene growled and jumped to her feet, "We'll take care of you next time!"

Akii spread her white fingers to block the attack for Riku, when her attention too moved to Xenree's rapid descent. Though she couldn't see Xenree, she could see the rapidly fading bolt of white light. Riku flung himself barely over the inferno and tossed Souleater downwards towards Nickolai. "Maleficent... You're wrong! What I gave up was a life in the dark! I gave that up for my friends!"

 

Shinji crossed his Keybalde with Nox's own one and he pushed him back before speaking. "What's your name? I like to know my opponent's name while fighting them, because, when I see things I don't like, I prefer to smash them." He said defiantly ebfore noting Xenree's wound of lightning and he had to be impressed. "Seems like this World agrees that it won't go down easily, I'm begining to like this world already!"

 

Carrie's eyes widdened as she saw the lightning pierce Sei's mothers chest. This was her chance! "Sorry, Sei," said Carrie. She moved closer towards the women and shouted "Fire!" A great ball of fire went towards her and would-hopefully burn her.

 

"Now, that's a hard question to answer. To define what I am, I am not a Heartless or a Nobody. For some reason, I held onto my feelings in this form, and have held onto my old memories. Don't you remember, Alexander?" Nox still kept up his fight with those who were attacking him. He could still see that Alexander wasn't catching wind about what he was talking about. "I'm guessing that you wish to know the name I go by, correct? The absence of light, Nox, is what they call me." In one strong attack, he struck Alexander, sending him flying back.

 

Nikolai smacked Riku's keyblade away, laughing at his statement. "Friends? Friends are but a trivial facade. You may feel similar feeling toward each other, but in the end it leaves you with NOTHING!" He yelled. "Leaving behind the darkness was the biggest mistake of your life, and now you will suffer for it!" Nikolai said as he teleported behind Riku, his keyblade ablaze with black fire. "DIE!"
