Kingdom Hearts: Chasing Shadows

"What the heck." Keel muttered under his breath once he saw genie. It wasn't everyday you got to see a genie, espcially one that knew the way out of the desert.

 

Carrie starred at the Genie with a dumbfounded look on her face-she'd never seen one before-not even in Traverse Town. As he mentioned food her stomach growled. She remembered that she hadn't eaten since pizza the night before. She nodded her head when he asked if they were hungry. "I'm Carrie... Nice to meet you Genie," said the girl kindly. Sure she was still mad-pissed even- at her boys but there was no reason for her to take it out on the blue Genie.

 

Shinji looked down to the small mouse that was called a Majesty and he looked over the small humanoid black mouse with very big overized ears and strangely enough wore clothes that was perhaps similar to Sora's instead being red than Sora's black., he didn't exactly seem to be one who leads a kingdom but as Shinji first learnt from the Heartless and whatever other creatures that there were, don't judge a person by their appearance as he turned to stare at Yen Sid, now he could feel some form of power behind this man and perhaps wisdom beyond his years and this man was once a Keyblade Master?

"What do you mean that?" He asked Yen Sid with his arms crossed as he saw Sora emerge from the doorway out of the corner of his eye, now things were getting interesting.

 

Nikolai gazed at Xenree's "blood". Black as the darkest night. It was that very blackness that drew him in. He took her wrist and inhaled the blood, the power she spoke of surging through his blood. He let go and looked Xenree in the eyes. "This...This is the power I have craved for so long...Maleficent is nothing compared to this." closing his eyes, he embraced his newly gained power. He inhaled through his nostrils, a new smell of darkness in the air. Looking back at Xenree, he had a dark, malevolent look in his eyes. "Thank you, lord Xenree. With your gift now in my hands, I will not disappoint you." He said, bowing to Xenree.

 

Xenree tsked him, "It's Queen Xenree to all my subjects. As your Dark Queen, I shall lead this universe into a new age. An age of darkness!" She glanced around at the Organization and grinned.

Genie puffed up his chest, "My, my, you're all not very talkative. BUT! I'm sure you'll all feel much better when we get to Agrabah. ALL ABOARD!" he transformed into a giant blue train and winked at Carrie. Sei reuctantly climbed on, "Is this safe?"

Mickey marched up to stand in front of Yen Sid's desk, "Welp...we felt a strange pulse from a word that Master Yen Sid says used to be an old friend's homeworld...but nothing lies there now." Yen Sid nodded slowly and patted Akii's silver hair, "Indeed. This pulse...carried with it a strong aura of darkness and malevolence. I'm starting to think this little girl is apart of that pulse. She carries a pure heart, but something is hidden inside her heart. What it is, I cannot know." Akii grinned and fixed her violet eyes on Sora as Yen Sid continued. "Heartless have reappeared in the worlds, along with an old enemy that I have not seen in ten years. The Unversed...creatures of evil emotion manifested into creature's forms. The last time they had arrived, a masked boy named Vanitas was behind their appearance. I cannot sense Vanitas' presence...and thus, he must not be behind them this time. Also..." he waved a hand and a light shone into the room, creating the image of a twitching bug-like creature covered in thick scales of gray armor. One of its arms was a large scythe. "The creatures, young Akii has explained to me are called Twisted. These creatures are nothing like the Heartless and Unversed. They hold no hearts within them and thus, the Keyblade will be of little use against them." Riku stood and clenched his hands, "Then what do we do against them?"

 

"Beats wandering around in the desert." Keel said getting on the Genie/train.

 

Carrie followed the others onto the train

 

He shrugged, before going in. "Why not you just teleport us, if you can? I'm hungry." He rubbed his stomach, before singing to himself. "Dum de dummm..."

 

Shinji listened rather quietly to hear everything, there was Heartless, Nobodies, Unversed and now these Twisted who contained no hearts? But what the white haired man asked clearly spoke volumes on everyone's minds, if the Keyblade was able to defeat the previous three forces, what good could the the Keyblade do against one that doesn't have the vital weakness of a heart?

"So what are we supposed to do? twiddle our thumbs and wait for the end of the world?" He thought cynically.

 

Nikolai bowed to his queen, "My apologies, Queen Xenree." He stood back up and looked at Xenree. "Is there another world you would like to aqcuire, my Queen? I am eager to test out this gift." He said. The blood he took made Nikolai act formal, but also kept him in his darkest state.

 

Xenree happily smiled again, softer than before. "Yes, lets. Report!" Again, the small Twisted scuttled out of it's hiding spot somewhere under her chair and sat at her feet, "Um...reports indicate that the brown haired one and his friends have arrived at the Mysterious Tower...a place we haven't been able to successfully go into. The Tower seems to be bared by magic, Your Grace. Also...we've picked up a sure sign of Lady Akira in Twilight Town, but she had vanished." Xenree's face seemed to pull into a pout for a moment before waving the small Twisted on. "Um...at your request, my Queen, demolition has begun in Agrabah. We've detected a large mass approaching the city along with a vauge sighting of a boy that appeared to be Master Seiren." Xenree perked back up and turned on her heel, pointing rather rudely at Larxene, "You will come with Nikolai and myself. I've no need for anyone else. To Agrabah, we go, to claim the World Heart...and reclaim Seiren."

Genie didn't stop to address their qualms but Sei hopped up onto a seat and scoffed in his quiet voice, "What's the fun in traveling to a new world if you just warp around by magic? Even if it's nothing but sand dunes...you should appreciate the view while it lasts. If you're not careful, the only thing you'll be looking at here will be endless darkness."

 

Alexander was a bit dumbfounded by what was happening before him. Granted, seeing a transforming Genie wasn't the oddest thing that happened to him within the past twenty-four hours, but it was still kind of shocking. Without saying a word, he joined those who he chose to ally with.

"So, what does this all mean," Sora asked Yen Sid, a bit dumbfounded.

 

"Please, I eat endless darkness for breakfast! ...Make that dinner." He said, his stomach growling louder now. "Hey, can I drive?" He asked, out of the blue(train).

Yen Sid glared at Sora, obviously peeved he wasn't getting it. Mickey chuckled in that adorable way of his and gestured widely, "You gotta go out and find the new darkness and destroy it, Sora. We're all counting on you! I can't leave...I've been away from the castle for a long time and now a lot of work has piled up. We both have to take responsibility and save our worlds." Akii wiggled fron Yen Sid's lap and rubbed her cheek on Mickey's head, "Soft... I can take care of the Twisted. Momma created them...so Momma can un-create them."

 

"Oh, right," Sora said, laughing a bit. He raised his hand an summoned his Keyblade. This was the source of his strength, his power. With it, he can conquer any darkness that's out there. He looked at Kirra, who seemed to be completely lost in what was going on. He could tell though, that she seemed to understand the importance of beating their new foes. "So, where are we going to first?"

 

"So, we're reduced to this girl taking care fo the Twisted for us? That putting exactly alot on one person." Shinji spoke up and looked at Mickey. "But, I don't like what this darkness doing anyway and when I see something I don't like." He gave a small smirk at the corner of his mouth. "I smash it up." He said, obivously being very confident in the task set upon them.

"So if you're planning on going alone Sora, forget it, I'm coming along whenever you like it or not." He said in a unwavering tone.

 

Sei closed his eyes and nodded off. He was, after all, still a child.

Yen Sid waved them to the window and summoned the Gummi Ship. "The Gateways to the worlds are open still, but very faintly. Already there is an unbalance in the forces of dark and light. But you musn't dwell on what's lost already and keep moving forward. The first world, that's closest to us, is Agrabah. Take the Gummi Ship and hasten to it's side and protect it's light. The darkness is moving quickly, you must be faster."

 

"Right," Sora said, raising his Keyblade in the air. "Thank you, Master Yen Sid." Sora bowed and started running toward the Gummi Ship. "Are you guys coming or what?"

"Hey, Sora--Right." Kirra yelled after him. Almost tumbling over, she turned around and bowed at the bearded man and the King. "T-Thank you,sir."

 

SHinji just nodded at Sora and went to run after him without a word of gratitute to the old man. "A Gummi Ship? Agrabah? This is getting more interesting by the minute!" He said with a small underlying tone of excitement, well he wasn't bouncing around like a overexcited child, let's put it that way.

"If just meeting these people given me a chance to see new worlds and fight the darkness, I can say I'm glad it happened." he thought to himself, smiling inwardly, it was always what he wanted, a real adventure to see what's out there and enjoy the thrill of it.

 

"Well, it's a whole lot more relaxing than the way I was traveling." Keel said before he saw that Sei had fallen asleep. "I rest my case."
