Kingdom Hearts: Chasing Shadows

Saix, Axel and Roxas stared at Carrie as she called out two of their old names. Axel tilted his head and frowned, scratching the back of his head, "Ah man...now I feel like the one who's forgotten everything. Do we...know you?" Saix lifted a hand out to Carrie. "Give it time Axel. Our memories are slow to come back to us this time, but they're there. This...is Carrie...the girl we were friends with back before we found Ansem." Roxas' wide blue eyes stared up at Saix and then to Axel.

 

Carrie just stared at Lea and Isa spoke... He didn't remember her... A tear fell down her cheek before she could stop it. Dammit... Why the hell didn't he remember... "Do-Do you seriously not remember me Le-le?" She said to Lea calling him by the nickname she gave to him years ago."Tell me you're kidding with me or something! God Dammit... God dammit all!" This couldn't be real... Why when her friends were finally back, did Lea not remember her! Why couldn't this all be a dream... or better yet a nightmare..

 

Seeing that he was in a dramatic moment, he desummoned his keyblade, and then slowly and quickly stepped behind a vase with a plant big enough to hide him, as he whistled, pretending he wasn't there. "Whrr whrr whrrr..."
(Fail onomatopoeia XD)

 

Nikolai, who was waiting for Xemnas to return, saw that Nox was in the room with him. He turned to him, his hands in his pockets. "So...Is there some kind of initiation or something that I need to go through? Or is that kind of thing 'classified'?"

 

Axel grimaced, "Uh...this is embarrassing..." Saix shoved his shoulder and took a step closer to Carrie, his hand still extended. "Carrie...pay him no heed at the moment. His memories will be along shortly. Coming back from the Darkness like that....it's a bit traumatic. Carrie....why dont you come give your old friends a hug."

Sei grabbed Carrie's hand. "No, don't go. They're bad news."

Xemnas set Xenree down in her black silk covered bed and brushed the backs of his fingers across her cheek. "You're so beautiful Xenree. Whatever would I do if you hadn't brought me back. If only I had a heart to give to you. My precious little Dark Queen." he crooned.
A tiny creature with gray armored plates covering its body in the form of a little dragon scurried down the white hallways and stopped at Nox's feet, chittering away. "Emergency! Emergency! The new Nobodies have made contact with Keyblade bearers! And...Lady Xenree is unconscious in the same room as Xemnas! She shouldn't be alone with him!"

 

Carrie hesitated and seemed shocked upon hearing Sei's words... How could her friends be bad news? They were Lea and Isa for God's sake! She tilted her head towards the younger boy. "What do you mean, Sei? I've known Isa and Lea for a long time... How could they be bad news?"

 

Keel had no idea what to expect with this strange reuinon. He couldn't lower his gaurd completly, but he could put his keyblade away.

 

Nox tilted his head at the boy's question. He wasn't quite sure how to answer it; it was something that was up to their leader, Xenree after all. Before he could speak, he saw the dragon-like Nobody and listened to its message. He had to think fast; to do what was right for their goal. He summoned his Keyblade. "Showtime kid. You go help out the Nobodies in Radiant Garden; I'll go take care of Xenree. That's an order!" He ran off to Xenree's room before there could be any protest. He smashed open the door to her room with a strike raid attack.

Sora summoned his Keyblade, nodding at Riku. "Right," he said as he began attacking at all the Shadows.

"What the--" Kirra said to herself. She didn't know that they were also Keyblade wielders; she had never encountered another one who could do so. "Ahh!" She screamed as one of the Shadows was approaching her. Out of instinct, she summoned her Keyblade and used a fire magic against it.

 

Saix growled low in his throat and Sei kept his grip on her firm. "They're Nobodies. The also have a bad smell on them...something...attatched to the darkness. They aren't the friends you knew anymore." Saix mumbled to Roxas and the boy nodded once before running off towards the square. "Now now Carrie...are you going to believe that little boy over your old friends? Is it wrong to want a hug?"

Xemnas' fingers drifted down to touch Xenree's collarbone. Noting an odd mark on her pale skin, Xemnas pulled lightly on her cloak. Before he could get it down far enough to see, a Keyblade broke down the door. "You. Your name is Nox, correct? Is there something I can do to help you? Or...do you enjoy ruining my fun?" His amber eyes glowed and flicked briefly to Xenree, still sleeping.

 

Nikolai nodded at Nox and opened a portal to Radiant Garden. He arrived at what seemed to be a standoff. In front of him were three figures in black coats similar to the kind Xenree and Xemnas wore. In front of them were five Keyblade bearers. He stepped up behind the red-haired man, purposely bumping into him. "Hey, you guys look outnumbered. How about I help with that?" He said, summoning his Keyblade. He noticed that another Nobody was talking to one of the bearers. "Or at least I will when the fight starts..." He said, paying attention to the situation, so he didn't miss anything.

"Nobodies...but means.." That meant that her friends really did lose there hearts after all.. She hadn't wanted to believe but now there was no declining it...Carrie looked at both of her friends, at the blond haired boy, and then to Sei. What reason did he have to lie to her? But then again what reason did Isa have to lie to her? "I don't know what's going on or whose telling the truth..but there will be no fighting. Not with me involved anyway. I won't fight my friends," she said looking at the boy who just appeared. She tried to step back but Isa kept his grip firm. "Let go Isa," she said.

"Yeah, you can get off my leader," He yelled out at Xemnas. He saw Xenree, her unconscious body in her hands. He couldn't quite understand the feelings that were going through him. Seeing Xenree unconscious made him want to destroy Xemnas on the spot. He could take him out easily, but something was holding him back. It was the same thing that was driving him to act so impulsively. If he attacked the way he planned, Xenree would get hurt. He knew it was the perfect shield for Xemnas. "I don't know what you think you're doing, but I need her if I'm going to set the world on fire!"

 

Saix offered a somewhat nice smile and even Axel grimaced at it. "Not the kind of greeting you'd want, Saix. Anyways...I think some of it's coming back... Saix said your name was Carrie. I do remember that name...but surely the Carrie we remember couldn't be you. You're all grown up." Sei reluctantly released her and closed his eyes. Still spreading his arms out to her, Saix waited for her to come to him.

Xemnas tilted his head questioningly. "What's the matter? Feeling a bit of jealousy are we? Surely not. She's a Nobody. She can't feel a thing for you." Seeing his line of points go ignored, Xemnas shifted a bit, his fingers grasping the zipper of her coat. "Don't you want to know the secrets she hides under this cloak?"

Riku easily cut through the Shadow. Little bits of shadow flesh raining down on Kirra and his head. Smirking, Riku barely noticed Akii still clutching tightly to his back, like a tiny pale leech. "What the? G-get off!"

 

Carrie nodded and smiled a bit. "I'm the same old Carrie. Just-" She said, summoning her keyblade. "A keyblade wielder. That's all that's really changed about me,but more importantly" Carrie said, pausing for moment. "What happened to you guys?I-I really missed you two..." Carrie said,but still hesitating to hug Isa.

"Yeah, but it's not for your eyes to see," He said, preparing his plan. He kept his focus; if anything slipped, it would doom everything. He used a sliding dash attack, homing in on Xemnas. Before he reached their feet, he broke the dash and jumped. At that time, he wrapped himself around Xenree, and then casted a large amount of fire towards Xemnas. He wasn't able to create a shield around them, but he made sure that Xenree didn't get damaged at all. He saw Xemnas's body fly away in one direction while he flew in the other, hitting the wall to make sure that Xenree wasn't hurt. "At least you're safe. Please, wake up."

Alexander wasn't quite sure about what was going on. He didn't know anything about Nobodies, or about the group of people who were around him. He didn't really trust anybody there, but something about the men in black made him uneasy. He wanted to say something, but this really wasn't his battle to fight.

 

Xemnas hit the wall and grunted. He hadn't been hit in such a long time. It almost felt good feeling the pain. Silver sparkled underneath Xenree's long lashes as she opened her eyes and growled, "What's with all the ruckus? I'm trying to rest h-" She broke off and shoved Nox away from her. Reigning in her temper, she felt cold wash over her chest and stomach. To her horror, she found her coat wide open. Her silver eyes darkened and tentacles of pure darkness shot from the shadows of the ground, wrapping around Nox and Xemnas' eyes, mouths and binding their limbs to their bodies. "I won't have any of this. Peeping toms..." she laughed, "Peeping Nobody toms. How unique. If there's something you want to see, why can't you be gentelmen about it and ask me?" She waited for their answers, uncovering their mouths.

Saix still waited to reassure her. Axel grinned like an idiot. "We found...something we've been looking for. Of course we had no idea what we were getting into. Living without hearts...it's troublesome. But with a new range of powers...it's made it all worthwhile."

 

This is why I'm not cut out for a hero, Nox thought to himself as he was being taken over by Xenree's darkness. He should have known better than to do something like that; no one ever tried to get both sides of the story. He wasn't enjoying playing the hero in the situation, but he also wasn't the bad guy. "How about a bit of a thank you?" Nox spat at her. "I'm not the pervert who undressed you; that was all him! I actually saved you from a rude awakening."

Sora was surprised by Kirra. He didn't know that she could use a Keyblade, let alone her being a good fighter. To him, she looked like an innocent girl who couldn't possibly hurt a fly. She was fighting off the Heartless using her magic, giving it her all. He knew that Riku couldn't fight with the kid at his side, but at least they had someone who could pick up the slack.

 

"Well it makes me happy that I'm not the only one with magical powers," said Carrie laughing, more then she had in a long time. Sei was wrong about them-they were her friends-her best friends-they would never hurt her. She ran over to the boys and hugged them both. "I missed the both of you... So much you could never know..."

Xenree glanced down at herself and licked her lips. "So...Xemnas..something you want to see?" She snapped her fingers and the darkness released the two men. Shucking off her coat, Xenree sat back on her bed and lazily watched the two of them. Her darkness formed a cover over her "ladilike parts" and the rather large marking that belonged to her was clearly visible. The Nobody symbol covered in ever moving black thorned vines, stretched from her ribs to her navel. Another marking which looked like the infinite symbol surrounded by Z's with slashes through them rest on the skin above where her heart would beat. "Satisfied?" she growled. Her pale skin was rather like a vampires but not that terrible off-white color.

Akii stuck her tongue out at Sora, "Who're you calling slack?! Spikey-head!" Since she was still young, the best name she had was quite innocent. Riku twirled, trying to reach the child to pry her off his back when an exposion knocked them off their feet. Several twisted looking Nobodies flooded the Sandlot. They jerked and moved in a glitched way that seemed to be taken straight out of a horror flick.

 

Nox gasped to himself. To him, what Xenree was doing was wrong. In his mind, he was the only one who had the right to see her like this. Nobody, especially Xemnas, suppose to see her like this. He picked up her coat, taking in a big whiff of her scent, and thew it over Xenree's exposed body."You better be looking away, you old ass pervert!" Nox went in to attack Xemnas with all of his strength.

"I didn't say that," Sora said. He knew that those words didn't leave his mind, but he couldn't understand why she responded to him as if she did. Sora and Kirra began attacking these knew creatures, a lot more tougher than the Shadows they just fought.
