Ric looked at Matt. "Probably not," he said seriously. Drew tried not to smile. Keiko turned to the group. "Let's be careful," she warned before following Cyphus.

 

Nasele looked at the shocked and frightened crowd. Their attention was on her but also the soilders.
She smiled kindly, "We're not here to hurt you we just wish to enter peaceful negotianions. Now who is in charge of this world so we can get to buisness and be out of your hair."

OOC: I'll do it.

IC: "I'm in charge, if you want to call it that." A man stepped forward through the crowd. Tall and ruddy-haired, he was not in any official position, but he was a natural leader, and everyone in town looked up to him. The frightened crowd looked at him in relief. If anyone could protect them, he would. "Who are you?" he asked. "Just what is it you want with us?"

 

"I am Lady Nasele, military comander and an official representive of the Darkran Empire," Nasele explained with some pride in her voice, "is there any place where we can discuss privately?"

 

"Well, There's an empty house in the third district." He said. "But please tell your soldiers to keep to your ship. We don't want any trouble."

 

"Two of them will come with me," Nasele said firmly, "I'm not going to walk into any traps."
Two of the stronger looking soilders followed closely behind Nasele as they followed the man.

 

He smiled grimly. He understood the need for protection, but he had been thinking of the people. To have several men in arms surrounding them would cause a lot of unneeded fear. However, he didn't argue his point. "The Third District is right this way," he said, leading her and her two soldiers.

 

Nasele followed silently keeping an air of power about her. She observed that the people had no formal military or any real formal goverment. She began to wonder if conquest over this new realm would be to easy.

 

"This is it," he said, opening a door and leading her and her two soldiers inside. "Now, what is it you want here?"

"To put it bluntly we want control of this world. Now no matter what we'll have it but the real question is if your willing to cooperate," Nasele said, "now don't get the idea that we're tyrants. If you cooperate your people will be able to elect a represative of this world to represnt you all in Parlement. Only things that will change is the addition of taxes and a military force that will defend this world from invaders. If you resist us however, we will cut down anyone who takes up arms, out in place our own leader of this world and there will be more strick punshiments for breaking laws."

 

He looked startled, and his eyes grew wide. "You want... to control our world?" he asked faintly. Nasele had said that if they didn't cooperate, they would be cut down. He cleared his throat, and looked down at the floor. He wanted what was best for the people, and now he wasn't sure what was best. "I... guess we have no choice," he finally said, slowly and quietly.

"DID YOU HEAR WHAT I SAID!?!" Ric yelled. He had slipped after Nasele and the man when they left and now he was relaying the story to the others, who had finally caught up with him. Drew looked nervously at the door. "Be quiet, Ric! They might hear you!" Keiko looked at Ric. "Are you sure that's what you heard, Ric?" In response, Ric glared at her. "Alright," Keiko said. "What are we gonna do? We can't stay here when it all goes down. We might get mistaken for locals. But we can't just leave, either." She looked around. "What do you all think we should do?"

 

"Thank you," Nasele said as she offered her hand to shake, "don't worry your people will greatly benifit the change and security of a new goverment."

 

"I've heard of these people before." Cyphus said. "There dictators who take over evrything they can reach. They scare people into doing what they want using their brute force, giant battle ships, and wepons. I'm not sure what a couple of kids with giant keys can do against them." Cyphus glanced at the door and pulled out his keyblade. "But we can't let these jerks take over yet another world."

 

Ric looked at Cyphus, amused. "You've heard of them before?" he said, smirking. "'Cause yesterday, you didn't know there were other worlds at all. Remember?" Drew looked around at the group. "Well," he said. "I vote that we leave. Cyphus is right, there's not much that we can do against them. We shouldn't even be involved, anyway. We're from another world. As long as this one isn't overrun by darkness and heartless, we shouldn't interfere with how they set up their government." Then he looked at Ric, who said "I vote we totally destroy their ship!"

 

Nasele started to head out the door of the small house, "One of my men, Sir Fowl, will arrive shortly after I depart. He will need a building in which we can use as a City Hall. He will also be helping with instituting our laws and will help make this tranishion as easy for your people as possiable."

 

Cyphus blushed. "I found a book of fairy tales in the library." He said "It talks about these people and other worlds. I didn't beleive any of it until, like, just now. The information might be usefull now, though." He seemed to consider something. "Look, if we don't beat up these guys can we head to Keiko's home. I think that might have been where Kyler went. If we're staying can we move, becuase they're done in there and they're going to come out any minute."

 

He sighed, and said "Yes, I'll see that that gets done." Then he turned to the door to leave.

Keiko saw them leaving and turned to the rest of the group. "Yes, Cyphus. Good point. Let's leave." She said all this in a hurried voice, and then turned to start running. "We can talk about what to do in a minute," she called over her shoulder.

 

Cyphus ran after her. Of course they would talk about what to do later. No one was a quick thinker like him.

 

Nasele and her two soilders left the small house and walked directly to thier trasport. I wounder if I'm the first one to turn a world to our side. That might get me a promotion. Baroness Nasele, no that doesn't sound right.

 

"Ahem." The man cleared his throat as he stood in front of the group of people, his neighbors, family and friends. He was about to deliver a message that he didn't want to deliver. "Now, let me start out by saying that I don't like what I'm about to say, but that I stand behind my words completely. We are now under the rule of this woman, Nasele." The crowd erupted with gasps and boos, but all was quieted by him holding his hand up, asking for silence. "Now, I don't like it either, but believe me, I've considered every possible option, and we simply have no choice. There will be very little changes, just the implementation of taxes and a few new laws. That's all. Nasele has graciously promised to set up a leader from our people to govern Traverse Town, letting us live our lives the way we always have, as long as we don't cause any trouble." He was interrupted by a small boy in the crowd, who walked forward and said "Will you be our leader, Mister?" Again the crowd of people erupted with noise, but this time, they were agreeing that this was the best course of action. "Well," he said, turning to Nasele. "That's really up to Nasele, ain't it?"

Kayta had made her decision. She had run into an alleyway behind what seemed to be a hotel, and everyone had kept up with her except for Drew. "I think we should leave," she said. "I know it seems heartless to leave at a time like this, but it is another world, we have no right to stop them from setting up a new government, even if it is being done forcefully." Ric interupted her. "DON'T YOU REALIZE THAT IF WE DON'T HELP THESE PEOPLE THEY WILL BE SLAVES?" Keiko smiled. "Slavery and government aren't the same thing, Ric." "Could've fooled me," Ric muttered. "Besides," Keiko continued. "I think they'll be alright for awhile. That guy will take care of them, even if he dies in the attempt. And if you think that Kyler's in Radient Gardens, I suppose we should go before he leaves. He's been there a while already." By this time, Drew had caught up with them and was now panting, his hands on his knees, supporting himself. "What's up?" he asked when he caught his breath.
