I don't think the lipsync is going to take it this time - BBS was their main project, not a remake, and the cutscenes are also made with the game engine... Therefore, if the game isn't re-synced, then they have no excuse. (Days' voiced cutscenes were practically FMVs ported onto the DS with the voicelines saved and cued separately, and ReCoM was originally just a freebie that came with FM+.)

I can think of one thing they absolutely must censor in BBS, and that's the firebomb incident... which therefore requires being completely reanimated. Add that to dubbing, lipsyncing, adding extras (since the English versions of KH had extra bosses in, remember?) and the date sounds pretty fair to me.

The ''waiting on Europe' crap', Darkside103190, would happen to be 'waiting until the various European dubs and localisations are finished before releasing the game'. It means that the PAL version of the game gets released next to or not too long after the NTSC version in America. The benefit is that us guys in the UK don't wait six or eight months to get the game after all the US guys on the Internet have spoiled it for us. The drawback is that it also pulls the American release dates back.

I don't think the scene with the three sisters will be censored.

what actually happens is before the boss fight, the unversed carriage is blasting firebombs around, one nearly kills cinderella but Aqua jumps in and saves her. Then, the stepmother and the sisters are laughing and gloating, when a firebomb drops on them, all you see is a pillar of flame and you hear them screaming, you don't see their deaths on screen but you see Aqua and Cinderella looking up, suggesting they were blasted away team rocket style, but then I'm confused because Aqua then says "it seems they were crushed by their own darkness" so we can assume they were killed but since it wasn;t really shown I can't see how they'll edit it

I'm so glad I imported this game! Love it, and I knew it'd be a while before it came to america, can't wait for the US release though, there'll probably be bonus content

The censoring of the games never really bothers me, so long as the edited version isn't inane. I think Disney should keep in mind that the people who play this game are around the ages of 15-20 now, we have grown up a bit. I remember when the first game came out I was like eight years old; but I am glad that Disney is still making games that a younger audience can play. I do have the feeling that these games are going to mature so it will be interesting to see what Disney does with that. Regardless I am super excited to have some time frame of a release date. Personally I prefer the game to release in the summer so I can focus on school and such but I know this isn't the case for everyone. This game looks totally worth the wait and just knowing that we won't have to wait a year for the release in the US made my day. (:

It's probably the voice overs that are taking so long...maybe they're trying to get Billy Zane back? lol

anyways, the voice actings sketchy for some parts...nothings been confirmed for any of the new characters like Vanitas, Erauqs, Master Xehanort, Terra, or Aqua...kinda need those guys...

I'm angry and relieved at the same time! If the game is released in the states at August when we are going to get it? September? Seriously?!

On the other hand this situation gives me more time to raise a few money and a get a bloody PSP to play the game.

But then again i will have to wait till October to watch the freaking Coded ending >< Square i hate you right now.

Looks like they might also be making changes to the game like in KH2. Hope they at least announce something else to come out within the year.

You also need to remember Square Enix is probably getting more intricate in their game-development process. They're really trying to make a great title, and even if all they need to do is make voice-overs, it is possible they are lip-syncing the voice overs too.

Which can take a while.

I'd also take into account there are three separate story lines (granted taking place in the same worlds) so there is a lot of work to make sure it is thoroughly translated.

US Release Date according to GI (Game Informer)

Not sure if someone posted this before, but here I go anyway.

Game Informer says Square-Enix expects the US version of Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep to come out sometime between June and August 2010. The game will be featured in their March 2010 issue where the news gets mentioned.

I'm a bit upset it is taking longer than usual. But I could wait a bit longer. The only thing I like out of the 2nd scan is the analogy to Star Wars. Though, I don't know how Ven is like Ahsoka.

Well it's better for people if the games get sold in two different months so it doesn't leave that big of a hole in your wallet. Also Square is probably doing alot more than usual for the US version like lip syncing and probably fix a few glitches and errors that were in the Japanese version.

That was already reported awhile ago.
