Man, I watched the first 10 seconds of it just so I don't spoil it all for me, and it looked pretty good. For some reason the place where Terra and all are from reminds me of Radiant Gardens, like the wall they were sitting on was a wall in the Hallow Bastion Postern. I really can't tell because of first 10 seconds and all.

How could it contain spoilers? When we all first play the game this will be the first thing that we see. This is the first thing we are MEANT to see. Although, I do know from experience that some movie trailers reveal far more than they should...nonetheless, my original plan was to watch this video when (or rather, IF, since I don't have a PSP) I ultimately play this game. Hmm, tough decision....

I probably stand alone on this, but I wasn't very impressed by the opening =/.

First of all, spoilers in the opening? Why would they put spoilers in the first thing you see when you start the game up? That's pretty ridiculous. Not saying you're lying to us, Mike, just saying that it was a bad decision by Square.
I also really thought the cuts were too fast, but maybe that's just my editor side coming out and throwing a fit. Really though, I felt like it was choppy and disconnected, whereras the KH1 and KH2 intros were both really smooth.
The biggest issue here for me though is that they used Hikari AGAIN. They make such a big deal about this game and then the use the same song they did eight years ago? Total killjoy. They really need new music. To be honest I would have been okay with Sanctuary/Passion, but from the looks of it either they've lost the rights to it or they're obsessed with Hikari, because they used it for RE:CoM too. And I like Hikari -- I still listen to it occasionally -- but I liked it more eight years ago before I'd heard it a million times >:.

Long story short I think the planning for the intro was sloppy... Is that just me? It certainly LOOKS gorgeous though, and in the end I guess that's all that matters. The rest of the game seems like it'll be great anyway.

Video looks great, music is unfitting. Simple & Clean is a nice song, and it fitted KH1 perfectly, but this just isn't right for the opening song at all. They should've done an entirely different song, and imo a bit more darker. Now when I see the vid I think of people on a beach and Sora and stuff. It kinda ruined the video and forced me to watch it without sound to enjoy it...

^ I agree with the two posts above. I wasn't really impressed by this. To be honest I'm also kind of fed up of the whole "falling through darkness" thing in all the intros, I don't see it as a recurring theme but more of a lack of originality. The game itself looks good, but as Stardust said the trailer is sloppy and the song overused now. :v Too similar an intro to previous games, I wanted to see something darker.

The worst part, for me, is when they switch from Terra's face to Terra's face in armour rapidly - that sucks. But apart from that, I really liked it.

In regard to the music, I think the only reason why they haven't used a different song is just because BBS isn't a 'main game' so to speak. KH1 had original music, KH2 had original music and the next KH game, assuming it's actually going to be Kingdom Hearts 3 and not a spin off/prequel, will most likely have a new song. I don't really mind the repetition, tbh.

But that's like, my favourite part of all the openings D': and it reinforces the idea that all the characters are ~connected~.
