No costumes outside of Halloween? Pah! Rubbish! @__@

GRRRR. Well, maybe we could...do it halfway? Like, if Halloweekend or whatever doesn't work, then maybe organize a date where everyone wears/brings KH merch, and maybe some people could at least wear character wigs or something? For example, just have Aqua's blue hair instead of a full-out costume?

    This would be excellent to take part in either way, but I don't know if I'd be able to. For one thing, I'll be a freshman at college, and for another, COLLEGE. I'M NOT GOING TO HAVE MONEY TO GET IN DISNEYWORLD. ; n ;

On the subject of KH at Disney Parks, though, I remembered a couple of things: First, one of my friends saw a Cinderella Castle-themed Keyblade at a Disney store in Chicago (turns out it's a not-quite-Keyblade, but here's a picture from the internet, anyway. Very Keyblade-esque). Second, somebody actually made a life-size Keyblade and took it to Disneyland for fun tiems. Kotaku even had an article on it which I can't be bothered to find because I'm lazy.

That's also a good idea. :D I think Disney would be OK with us wearing the wigs; they just don't allow anyone over 8 years old to enter the theme park in costume (other than the Halloween nights, of course). The advantage of going on a Halloween event night is that they allow full costumes. I will definately hold on to your idea as a back-up. Thanks!

And I hope you can come! I understand the difficulties with saving up for college though.

Thank you for the links and images. I was unaware of the Cinderella "Keyblade." O.O I've seen the article about the Keyblade in Disneyland. The person who did that later had to put the Keyblade in a locker, due to security. I suppose it looked too suspicious. If they had brought it during one of the Halloween events, it probably would have been allowed, though.

I don't know if this is a good idea, but what if we got the KHV staff to promote this event in the site?

I think that would be a great idea, Vanellope! At this point, I have not created an event website, however, so I don't want to ask them about advertising the event just yet. Once I create a website for the event and get enough people signed up and committed to attending, I will e-mail KHVids and ask if they would be willing to promote the event in some way.

Great idea! I'm sure Misty and Plums can help. So can Mike and DPWolf, although they don't sign in as much.

EDIT: Krowley and Chevalier are helpful staff members as well.

That would be excellent! I'll get a quick prototype site up soon and we'll see what kind of support comes in from KHvids and beyond.

I also ran this project by the KH Insider forum. It met with a generally positive response, though there was some speculation about how effective the project would be in getting KH into the Magic Kingdom. I assured them that this was just one small step in a big dream :)

Looking forward to seeing where it goes.

  9. I wish I could go, but I am only a 15 year old with no money in a town shaped like a bowl... I think this will work. It's a great idea and it would be hilarious to see so many Sora's and Riku's in one place.

Glad to have your support. ^^ The event won't happen until October 2013, so who knows, maybe you'd get to come anyway. :)

...You live in a town shaped like a bowl? O.o

Awesome! I'd love to see it at the event! :D I'm sure it'll be completed by October 2013.

Just be careful you don't trip over those shoes ;) I'm sure that'll take some getting used to. Sora makes it look easy enough, though.

I'd be happy to see this, as long as I get to meet Roxas in person i'm good :D

Interesting, hopefully Disney picks up on this and makes it so. Disney, where dreams come true . . . copyright and trademark of the Disney corporation.

If any of you guys think you can attend the event, please sign up via the Join the Project link. The only way this project will be effective is if we have a lot of participants. So give it some thought and then please sign up if you so desire. The more people listed under the Event Day Guestlist, the more impressive it will be to other KH fans and Disney itself. :)

If you'd like to be a part of the event, please sign up on the project website! :) We'd love to have you come be a part. I have a link to the website in my signature, as well as above on this forum.

...and I'll be sure to warn any Riku cosplayers at the event to watch out for you :D We have at least one already signed up for the event day.
