Kingdom Hearts' All-Girls College

"Eh, summer was okay..." She said, not wanting to tell him what she'd done over the summer. She smiled softly. "Nothing beats hanging out here with everyone else, though..." She said and grinned as they walked towards the pool.

 

"Yeah.." Kulex said sighing lightly, "my girlfriend...or should I say...I guess she was...." he said looking straight ahead blankly. He shook out of it as they neared the pool, "Brexecca...how is Abexecca doing?" he asked softly.

 

Brexecca looked up at Kulex sadly for a moment as he said that, hearing the hurt in his voice, but she noticed when he shook it off. However, she didn't like the new topic to much. "Uh... Well..." She rubbed the back of her head, trying to think of how to explain it to him.

 

Kulex looked at her slightly confused, almost as if trying to avoid the subject, "is she....is she ok?" he asked stopping his walk and turning to her, "I thought you said she was here right?" He attempted to see if he could find any clue in her stance, eyes, mouth, or hand gestures.

 

Brexecca stopped walking, too, and looked and the ground. "Well, yeah, she's here... It's just..." Brexecca sighed and tried to explain. "She's been in the hospital for a bit, but from what I've heard, she came back to the school this morning..." She had a worried expression on her face as she looked up at Kulex. "But when I saw her yesterday... Well... She wasn't exactly 'better'..." She bit her lip, wondering if she should explain the story to him. Would he believe it?

 

Kulex looked at her taking in everything she was saying, "She....she was in the hospital....what happened?" he asked concerned. He remembered how much he had cared for Abexecca when they were in highschool, almost to the point he was willing to break up with his girlfriend to be with her. "Where is she...can I talk to her...can I see her?" he asked nervous after the information she had just given him.

 

Brexecca sighed. "I knew you'd be concerned..." She muttered. "Relax... She's got someone with her, so if anything happens, we'll know right away..." She explained softly. "I'll tell you what happened, but you probably won't believe it..." Looking him in the eyes and seeing his worried expression, she looked away and started to explain.

"It's a pretty bizarre story, and I wasn't actually there when it happened... Apparantely, Abexecca has something inside of her called a "silver crystal". It has some type of special power or something, and there's a guy who's after that power. When she was sleeping some night, the guy- or somebody- came and left a cut on her arm. When she woke up, she put a bandage around it, but there were times during the day where it hurt really badly just out of nowhere... And in the afternoon, she just collapsed and an ambulance came and got her... She claimed that she was hearing voices in her head telling her about the crystal..." She paused. "The guy who's with her now was the one who was there through all of this... His name is Fayte... When Abexecca told him about the voices, she said that some voice in her head said togo to the bridge at midnight or she'd keep suffering from the pain... So her and Fayte snuck out of the hospital and went to the bridge. They thought he'd just take the crystal and leave, but apparantely the crystal was planted deep in Abexecca's heart... So when he tried to take it out, it left her in a near-death sort of state... However, there was a force field or something protecting the crystal, so the guy couldn't even take it once he got it out, so he said he'd be back and then left. Abexecca grabbed the crystal, and Fayte took her back to the hospital... She gradually started to feel better, but the cut on her arm seemed to still sort of hurt her..." She sighed once she'd finished explaining. "It's sort of bizarre, but it seems to be true..." She bit her lip, thinking.

 

"Someone is after a crystal...that is in her heart..." Kulex said confused, "but isn't she a nobody...like myself...Mark...if that is the case then she has no heart...?" He thought for a minute before continuing, "unless...unless shes special just like Roxas and Namine were....having almost a partial heart and being able to truly feel emotion...." The thoughts raced through his mind, sudden darkness stuck his mind and it seemed as if by some impossible cause he was in his own mind looking around through the darkness. "No....not this again...." he said grabbing his head and wincing slightly. "Brexecca...how about after our swim...we go and see her..." he said ignoring his head and forcing out a smile.

 

"I don't know..." Brexecca muttered, thinking. She started walking with him again, oblivious that anything might be wrong. "At least that's what Fayte said happened..." She thought hard and then looked up at Kulex, smiling. "Sure," She replied softly. "She should be somewhere around the campus..." As they arrived at the pool, she looked around.

 

Kulex walked over to a table with her and set his towel down, taking off his shirt and shoes, he sighed hoping a swim with Brexecca would get his mind off his problem. He looked over at Brexecca, "I always loved her personality...her excitement..." he said an actual soft smile coming across his face. He shook it off realizing he was staring at her for a while and tested the water before jumping in.

 

Brexecca smiled and placed her towel on a nearby chair. She then walked over to the edge and immediately dived in, swimming down and touching the bottom of the pool before coming back up, giggling as she breathed heavily.

 

Kulex resurfaced and smiled wiping his eyes, "how does the water feel Brexecca....its nice and cool over here..." he said swimming over to her. "Can you believe it...it seems like just yesterday we were all in highschool...not quite sure what was going to happen in our lives..." he said remembering, "and now...now we are all in college...studying our majors....our futures..." He stopped looking down at his hand, "but what future does this hand hold...."

 

Brexecca giggled. "It feels good..." She said, treading water. She sighed and leaned back, letting herself float on her back. She smiled as she stared at the ceiling. "Yeah..." She said softly, remembering all the good times they'd had in highschool. A sudden wave of sadness flashed over her face for just a brief second as she realized something... She actually missed being in highschool... they'd all had so much fun together, and things were so different now...

 

"I'm glad it feels good...." Kulex smiled watching her float and swim around, he noticed her facial expression change once, "hmm..I wonder why..." he said quietly to himself. He leaned against a wall of the pool and thought for a moment, the swim unfornately didn't seem to be helping as much as he had hoped, "what is this...why did it have to happen to me...."

 

Brexecca felt somewhat sad, now. Highschool had come and gone quicker than she had wanted it to, and she wished they were still in highschool, and everyone wasn't worried about their future and such. As she felt a tear suddenly fall down her cheek, she went under water so that Kulex wouldn't notice. She stayed under for a long time, trying to stay there for as long as she could, before coming back up. Gasping for air, she giggled and smiled, swimming back over to Kulex. She noticed the look on his face, but still restrained herself from asking him about it.

 

Kulex noticed her looking at his hand, "oh its nothing...just a slight cramp..." he said forcing a smile, "guess I haven't been swimming in a while..." he laughed lightly before attempting to walk over to her. He started but since he was tall enough that his feet touched the bottom of the pool he slipped and fell towards her, his lips lightly brushing her cheek and his arms falling around her as they both went under the water.

 

"Hmmm....interesting thought.....I don't know....I've never tried something like that because...well...I care for these games too much to damamge them.....or the console....but...I'm not sure if that would be the case. It might just make everything even more distorted and messed up." Andrew replied back to Anna.

 

Brexecca blushed slightly when she felt his lips brush against her cheek, but she quickly shook it off as they fell under the water. She quickly held her breath before they went under, surprised by his sudden fall. She swam back up to the surface, coughing slightly because she hadn't quite taken a breath quick enough. "Are you okay?" She asked Kulex.

'I see..." Anna said. "Well maybe we could try it with a different game, sometime... Like, one you've never played before." She smiled, knowing he'd be happy if he could play games again.

 

"I-I..." He began but slowly stopped as he he felt more tears start to form at the edge of his eyes.
"P-Please...just forget this ever happened...p-please..i'll do whatever you want just..forget.." He told her as he felt more tears slowly flow down his face.

 

Kulex shook his head and wiped his eyes, "oh my...I'm so sorry Brexecca..." he said slightly nervous thinking of what had just happened, "this pool floor is more slippery than I thought..." He sighed, "I didn't hurt you did I...I should have forced my to fall to the side..."
