Kingdom Hearts 3D: Information from Introduction Trailer & More

New information has surfaced during a new interview with Nomura. Kingdom Hearts 3D is our main focus, which features tidbits of new information. Below is a translation in regards to this new title and what it will offer for the 3DS.

Subtitles Dream Drop Distance means to "fall away" in a dream. The word "drop" is chosen in regards to the 3D system and it's impacts that it creates while playing the game. The concept of Kingdom Hearts 3D is about a "bold action" concept. (Mike's Note) Think of "bold action" as the Master Exam.

This is a story about the master exam. This title consists of both Sora and Riku. Both these character switch operation forces in play. You may find yourself Battling in the middle even when walking down the street, regardless of the situation as you suddenly switch to a different character in play. This is a new method to separate the character's own story. It's noted that it's very simple to understand the process while the characters are being switched and to note that it's almost as a countdown.

Although Sora and Riku are found in some of the same locations, there are different bosses that these two are up against to expand the storyline within the title. (<strong>Mike's Edit</strong>) I can't make this next translation, but <strong>Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories</strong> is mentioned. It states that in the GBA title, Sora was able to freely use his deck of cards. It later moves on and says that Riku has decided to use his card deck. Not sure if they are comparing previous gameplay styles or if they are stating that Sora has free play in the new title, while Riku has the deck of cards.

A number of new Disney worlds will offer something new to the table.

Last but not least, Kingdom Hearts 3D is in a active stage of development. There is no set release date at this time, but Nomura is hoping that fans take notice of the new title as of now.

Yeah...

Wasn't too fond of the card system used in CoM, but a Kingdom Hearts game is a Kingdom Hearts game. Now there's only the little matter of affording the 3DS...
