    Here's the thing
If KH was an xbone exclusive, I would HATE that on a personal level, and I wouldn't buy KH3
But it's still good that it's exclusive, and it makes good business sense for Microsoft because many KH fans would buy and xbone just for KH3

You're letting your feelings get the better of you. Take a look at the list of Square and Square Enix video games. Notice how they almost worked exclusively with Sony for their home games then started to release almost every game they released for the for the PlayStation 3 for the Xbox 360 as well. Kingdom Hearts simply skipped that era, and it would only make sense if that if we saw a home console Kingdom Hearts game in the last few years we would have seen it on the Xbox 360 in addition to the PlayStation 3.

Okay. Good I guess. Kingdom Hearts III is probably more than a year away but revealing it now among this incredible hype for the new consoles might have been the best opportune moment.

    Or.

They could start with the PS4 version, half-ass the port, and watch as all twenty XBone owners skip past it on the shelf for Bark of Duty. No harm no foul for the rest of us.

Also one of the guys who made Trials said the systems are more or less the same if you know what you're doing.

I don't see a problem with it going multiplatform. This gives people a chance to experience KH how they want to. Personally, I'm getting it on the Xbox One as I already main my 360, and I feel as if it would be an easier transfer. However, at the Sony press conference, when we all thought it was PS4 exclusive, I was going to buy a PS4. Now that I have the option, I can choose how to experience the game. This makes me happy.

In the past, I have purchased a few consoles solely for Kingdom Hearts (PS2, PSP, 3DS, PS3). I'm glad that I don't have to buy a console just to play KH anymore.

Easier to transfer? Have you... even HEARD of all the terrible, terrible stuff the Xbone has going for it?
You'll have an easier time jumping to a freaking Dreamcast than trying to make use of an Xbone

When too many games go multi-platform and console exclusives
become fewer, it demotes healthy competition between video
game companies. There's less incentive to make killer apps
when everybody is batting for both teams and no longer trying
    to surpass each other.

The massive numbers of exclusives across all systems and the
competitiveness between the companies is what helped make
gaming gens like the Genesis/SNES, PS1/N64, and PS2/Xbox/GC
gens so good. When too much is multi-platform, then there's
hardly any point in even having different consoles.

I'm not saying every game should be exclusive to a system,
but a lot more need to be. Otherwise, gaming will continue to
    stagnate.

Except that scarcely any developers are thinking about that. Like, at all. At all at all. In fact the ones who try to beef up their patron systems with exclusives usually put out dumb piles of mess because they're trying to sell copies rather than produce a fantastic game.

I try to see the bright side of this...

    1) For those who say.. maybe it should go to WiiU, remember that the gba/DS/3DS were all intruders at first, so If Kh doesn't come to Xbox there will never be a fanbase in there.

2)One thing that I hate about Square (and other Japonese developers) is that they will make this HUGE GREAT GAME and make us wait 1 year or more so we can finaly have a "Western version".. with Xbox one at the party, we can hope that the american version of KH will be out at the same time as the japonese one, as Xbox is mainly an American machine (it will not be out for japan this year D:!).

    3) I think multiplayer is way better than "betray" the franchise like they did previously going to all nintendo handleds and the PSP, I was left orphan of a lot of KH games If KH gone to WiiU I would hate Square for all times, but they will give us the game and for other people as well, I can feel only empty for them because I know what is being left out by square.

Yes I have. To be honest, I really don't care. I'll toughen up and push through. Much like everyone else will.

No used games? I don't buy used games, so this doesn't affect me. Oh and it means I can't lend my games to others, which means I don't have to worry about anyone else breaking them. A camera that is always on? Honestly, I don't see a problem with it. If everyone is so scared that the government is watching them, turn it around. I have to install all my games to my HDD? I already do that, makes load times a thing of the past. Oh and always online. This is the only thing that I will have trouble with, as this means no playing in the car or on vacation. But oh well. My phone is always online, so it's not like the concept is new to me.

And you leave the Dreamcast out of this. He was before his time.

The Xbone is before its time too. The world doesn't have the internet that microsoft says it needs.
And microsoft is being downright TOXIC to their fans. "If you want an offline console, buy a 360"
You may not care about used game sales, but it's built to HURT small retailers. Sure, participating retailers can still do used games... but that basically means the small companies, that REALLY need the revenue to keep their shop open get hurt.

And then here's microsoft's just general bad business practices independent of the xbone. They're ridiculously harsh on indies. It costs developers 40,000 DOLLARS to patch their games, more often than not leading to the game never being patched.

Listen, you don't HAVE to toughen up and push through. The PS4 and PC offer the same experience with none of the pain. All you're doing here is choosing to pay an extra 100 dollars over the nearest competition for a weaker machine with more limitations, worse business practices, less respect for you as a person, loaded with TONNES of ads with a camra with MANY creepy patents filed for it such as spying on you constantly in order to give you targeted ads.
Seriously, what makes this worth it?

I do feel that KH3 should be a PS4 exclusive, but that's just the hipster in me. There's no negative effect to having the game ported to the Xbox One. It's not tainting or whatever. Slightly scaled down, possibly, but porting, especially this gen, should not take as many resources, therefore, there's minimal risk to Square Enix, and profit loss would be practically non-existent as sales on the Xbox One would just be a benefit, especially if it sells well on the PS4.
