    I wish the PS2 wasn't so limiting; that and the fact that KH1 is just old.. We can only squeeze out so much "hd" with such small texture sizes.

    I wish PCSX2 does what PPSSPP does. PPSSPP does something with the memory allowing HD textures. I forget, but it can play Monster Hunter the 3rd HD

    BBSFM textures are twice as large as KH1's. Can someone test if PCSX2 crashes if you stick to the original resolution?

    In reply to your prior post, I've already got all of the BBS textures and models, thanks. Also I already tried injecting 2x resolution textures into Sora's .mdls file. The program doesn't allow it. Only some of the textures are higher resolution too. Sora's hair and face are exactly the same size. That's how I was able to do the hair so easily. What we REALLY need is for someone to discover how to edit UV's because right now Sora's chest (zipper) is a tessellated texture, so I had to draw that myself. I couldn't copy his zipper from the BBS model. :( If we could edit UVs, and inject hi-res textures we would be able to nearly recreate 1.5 from a graphical standpoint at least.

    Hmm.. Another question that can be answered at xantex forum.. Maybe Crazycat can tweak his program to allow you to test. Everytime we get some close to emulating this stuff we have more roadblocks, but I believe in the team of people here.

    Anyways even though you have it I painstakingly stove to organize these files so I will keep them here. If anyone wants to see.

    I was wondering what exactly did they make HD aside feom the main characters? Doesn't seem like much.
    EDIT: Also what exactly are we planning on making HD aside from stated before?

    Different. They made it especially for Sora to look like he overgrew them. Those shorts were short!

    I can answer this since I've had HD 1.5 ReMix since it came out. Besides using newer models based on the ones from Dream Drop Distance they smoothed out the graphics a lot on the worlds and the Keyblades themselves have touch ups done on them. Really that is all that would be important in this case. Due to the limitations of the PS2 and PSX2 really I see the touch up on the keyblades being the most possible. I can take some pictures later if you want and upload them here.

    Who wears short shorts, apparently Sora. Although the Limit Form version for his clothes in Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix Plus were pretty interesting.

    I would try some model importing stuff, but we need a way to convert 3DS max files to .mdls

    And I can't get 3DS max to install on my laptop so I can't try it. Someone else has to :([DOUBLEPOST=1375978134][/DOUBLEPOST]
    The video on the Deep analysis said that only Sora and Ansem got the DDD, but I think Riku, Kairi, Donald, and Goofy did as well

    However I don't think they model replaced everyone, just the main characters and the models that were available on BBSFM pretty much. Then again they could have just replaced the textures on the KH1 models with the DDD model textures, which I have a suspicion that they did this.

    There is a way to rip RE:COM textures (not model :() You'll need Texmod and PCSX2, but it will help our case for porting more modern textures to our characters in KH1!

    There is another way. but you need Windows XP DX8 or 9 and 3d ripper with PCSX2. I have never done it.

    Probably just time constraints. It requires animation to dub.

    It's part hardware restriction, part laziness. There should be no excuse for fish faces in KH3. There won't be hardware restrictions anymore, plus most cutscenes are done via motion capture now.[DOUBLEPOST=1375982016][/DOUBLEPOST]Forget what I said about the resolution requirement. I just read something on texture size for PS2.

    So basically the resolution of BBSFM textures is more or less the same as KH1FM smaller texture. We need 1.5 textures if we truly want to do HD. Impossible I know, but replacing the old textures with newer ones refresh the game enough.

    I've got 3DS Max, I used to do model replacements for other games like GTA, but I couldn't convert .fbx to .mdls even if I rigged a model to a KH1 skeleton.

    If we can find a way to reverse the conversion that noesis does, I think it's possible. Crazycat is busy with some stuff though so we have to wait.

    I really don't want to let go of the model importing especially if we have a chance at this.

    Trust me I want to be able to import models as much as you. :p It's definitely possible. It WILL be figured out at one point or another, I'm sure. This game's hacking community is pretty big isn't it? I'm just saying I wouldn't know how to convert, so I wouldn't waste my time rigging (remembering how to at least) if I can't do anything with it. The team that's importing models into Dissidia mentioned that BBS model importing was being 'looked into' once, so maybe that's where to start?
