Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix: Trailer Impressions

Hello KH-Vids. As shocking as it is, Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix has been confirmed with a release that's scheduled for release around 2013, hopefully early 2013. As you've already heard, the HD Remix will include Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days cutscenes will be remade in HD to appear in some form of Teather Mode.

There are some other interesting tidbits I would like to point out.

- aibo_ac7 has revealed that some text scenes from 358/2 Days will be made into HD cutscenes.
- 4Game.net has revealed that although there were English voice overs used in Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix will contain Japanese voice over - including EXRTA scenes.
- Tokyo Game Show has their own page dedicated to Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix. http://www.square-enix.co.jp/tgs12/khhd/

goldpanner from KH13 has also provided translations for Rebirth Wings's trailer impressions.

It was basically a long succession of famous scenes and elements.

I was really hoping that if they didn't HD-ify the entire game, they'd at least add new cutscenes for Days, so that's some good news. It's just a matter of how much they do. New scenes in KH1FM though? I wanted them to do that, but was not expecting it to actually happen.

Now here's to hoping we get all this overseas, maybe even with proper lip synching for CoM and Days. Buying it either way, but that'd really be the icing on the cake :p Looking forward to hearing more, thanks Mike!

If this gets put overseas so we can play it, I will buy it as soon as possible. Plus, I'd finally get back CoM as well as Days.

BTW, what's going to be the main difference between this Chain of Memories and Re:CoM

I'm Almost certain it will, however I'm not sure if they are calling this HD because of it's a better remake or if maybe it will actually be in HD (All of it).

I am excited! If they release this in NA that means we will finally get the final mix...and even if we don't get FM I just want to play KH on my PS3 cause mine isn't backwards compatible

KH 358/2 Days Later IS NOT apart of the collection. JUUUUST Its cutscenes.

And stop implying that it might be coming to the US... Please.... It's not happening.

By extra scenes, I mean the original added scenes from Kingdom Hearts Final Mix.

I did report the news accurately. I said "As you've already heard, the HD Remix will include Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days." That wasn't wrong. I didn't say they were all playable, but 358/2 Days WILL be included by it's cutscenes. That to me IS part of the collection because it's still bundled with it...and features it's content, no?

Finally why is it not happening for North America or Europe? Who says? Square-Enix could release the game without the voices for the newly added scenes or they could just leave the Final Mix version out and just have the HD Kingdom Hearts instead.

So many questions pop into my head. I hope its a actual remake like I hope they fix the problems those 3 games had if all 3 are playable. Another thing that kinda concerns me is when its released if all 3 are playable will it be 50-60 bucks or like 150?

What? Port it twice? It's only being ported to PS3.
Why do you think they won't release it here? There is going to be an HD Collection for NA but maybe not the final mix version. It even says in the secret message in DDD. What would you know what is a waste of money and time for SE?

Oh, so the scenes that originally didn't have Japanese (or any) voice acting will get it in this version? That's fine.

I'm pretty sure that we'll be getting this overseas, maybe rebranded slightly (like without the "1.5" or something). It's a chance for them to reintroduce the series to a new generation, I doubt they'll leave out the US (and Europe, though if they do the PS3 is not region encoded, so not a HUGE deal). Just a matter of whether or not we get additional voice acting and lip syncing.

He means ported from NTSC/J to NTSC U/C or PAL, also you never know about just ps3 I mean yeah xbox isn't as successful in japan but it sure is in the usa so you can't say it will be just for ps3 cause you never know what Square Enix will do

Generally, KH games that make it over to America are announced at the same time as its other releases. Collections/Remixes and games that don't follow this trend generally don't make it and SE prefers import money for all remixes than they do reprinting the game. Let's not forget it's probably a complete waste of time and money in SE's mind as they seriously can't count (Type-0 why...).
