It's the day we've been waiting for! Though some people reported receiving their copies a few days early, and some were able to snag it from Square's launch events, Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix is now available on store shelves throughout North America!

Fans who preordered the game early should receive the limited edition artbook, with several pages of concept art and doodles from the Kingdom Hearts series. You can view the special letter from Nomura below.

If you're planning to Platinum the games, you should check out libregkd's extensive Trophy Guide. Krowley has posted up a new page for Kingdom Hearts III, as well as an interview with executive producer Shinji Hashimoto, so you can enjoy your HD remix with full knowledge that new adventures are on their way!

In terms of videos, Mixt is working hard to get the Japanese HD cutscenes up. I, however, will be taking over the recording duties for the English scenes, so expect an update soon!

Most importantly, we want to hear your impressions of the HD remix! Are you smitten with nostalgia? Impressed by the visuals? Loving the music? Tell us what you think!

I can't wait for the HD scenes being uploading on the site! Will they have a 1.5 remix box of their own or will another tab be put into the respective games for the new HD scenes?

I'm counting down the time til I get off work so I can pick up my copy. My co-workers keep asking why I'm in such a good mood, and then laugh when I tell them. BUT I DON'T CARE!

Both, actually. If you look at the archive we have videos up for the Japanese version of 358/2 Days. At the very bottom there is a box for 1.5 (with a link to the Days page), but the link is also in the 358/2 Days box. We will keep the old videos up for archive's sake, but they'll be re-marked as low quality versions. Having the 1.5 box I realize is a bit redundant, but I figured people would look for it and not think to go in the game's box (or vice versa).

Doing test records as we speak. :]

Oh I know that it will take some time. What I'm basically doing is playing through normally (because I want to enjoy the game too!) and creating save points at various spots so I can snag any scene at any time. I'm also trying to take great care that the videos are of the best quality (& file size) possible. Once I do actually start the recording (meaning, have test records I'm happy with), I'll also have to split everything up and... yeah. ha. It'll take some time.

Hope everyone who gets it loves it or is excited to get it, especially those who haven't been able to play the classic for a while.

I got my copy in the mail a day earlier than I'd expected, and popping that disc in brought all the good memories flooding back. Seeing everything remastered is so wonderful, and the new music tracks keep things feeling fresh, despite all the nostalgia.

Plus, the artbook is a nice treat.

Speaking of, I do want to publicly apologize with those taking a while. Yes I had some scheduling and tech issues, but I also got pretty lazy about it after I got Days up. But I am working on them and you will be seeing those shortly.

It is 2013, and I've just learned that the flowers in Deep Jungle aren't entirely pointless.

those colored flowers that change depending on the spell used on them? what ARE they used for? i don't think i ever figured it out myself

also, i thought i was going to go blind while playing in Destiny Islands. that place is so damn bright, lol. i'm glad the brightness mellows out a little after that point.

When you are in the story battle there (where Jane is trapped and you have to destroy the giant black fruit), if you open up all of the flowers the heartless will stop spawning.

What difficulty and level was that done at? I've done it, but I usually die on the second strike. Fourth tops if I'm a bit overleveled on the shield path.

@EvilMan. One easy way is to keep your distance and make him use the fireball. When you deflect it back he'll be dazed and you can get in a free combo. However, he can be a bit insistent about closing the gap to use melee, so it helps if you can deflect\dodge those to make him move on.
