I swear they're making a bigger deal about this game than any of the past few year's actual NEW games :P

Dang, I would actually stay in California to go to this thing, but now I'm a few states away, so it'd be difficult

Darn it... was hoping they'd also do it for the Downtown Disney here in Orlando... Oh well, enjoy it California KH fans!

      And your welcome Krowley!

They're really good with advertising these events super late...

Sooo just comparing what's different between both US and London events:
      • Can buy it (limited numbers)
      • Can win things (limited chance of winning)
      • Get a poster (limited numbers)
      • and whatever the much more is.
      • Oh and the fact there's no limit to number of people who can attend.
Compared to London one which has none of the above, but getting to meet Shinji Hashimoto & Yoko Shimomura.

So overall...I'd say it's more or less even between the 2 events.

If only I still lived in California D:

Anyway, I have some cousins that are thinking of getting in, so maybe they'll post pictures? I dunno. But yeah, lol, they are pretty much making a great deal about this than the newer games these past years, haha.

Have good fun to whoever is going.~

I actually remember them doing similar things for KH3D. But as for games like Days and BBS, yeah, you're right.

The Dream Drop Distance event in NYC (which I attended) was, I think, successful, so it wouldn't surprise me that they would try it for more of the games. A lot of people bought the game that day + other stuff from the Nintendo World Store, and there was a lot of fun promotional stuff there. I remember a lot of people asking us while we waited on line what it was for, a lot of people cosplayed, etc. It's a nice thing to do for the fans but it's also a marketing/promotional move.

At any rate, I'm glad they're doing it because I enjoy the events.

This is wonderful. I'm so glad that the Disney parks are beginning to bring Kingdom Hearts back into the theme park circle. This is a big step, even if it is only happening in Downtown Disney and not Disneyland itself.

Now, if only Disney World in Florida would take such measures...

There is also a Downton Disney in Florida (as I'm sure you know), so if this event goes well I could definitely see them doing a launch event there. If they do intend to make these launch events a regular thing, it seems like they're testing the waters in major cities (there was the Dream Drop Distance one in NYC, I think two in London counting the upcoming one, now one in LA). Because Disney World in Florida is so popular (arguably more popular than Disneyland), I can definitely see them hosting an event there in the future.

They really do need to bring more KH into the parks, the only remaining mention of KH in Disney World at the moment is a KH2 poster and a small tv looping the menu trailer for KH2 behind a glass case in the One Man's Dream walkthrough part in Hollywood Studios.

There's something KH related in the One Man's Dream walkthrough o_0 .... Now I hate myself for skipping that part of Hollywood Studios during my last two visits.

Yep! Completely caught me off guard too because it was only due to family wanting to go in it and I was like "...oh...alright", was walking round it and then there it was!

Still got the pic on my laptop too to show it ^^

Oh wow didn't know they had that, I'll be back in Disney in January so I'll have a look around! Any other KH sighting there y'all know of?

They need to do this again for KH three because by the time it comes out I'll probably be in college in the city anyway.

I seem to be the only one who has almost no interest in 1.5, but it's still a little disappointing that I can't go to this. It would be nice to see what it's like.

There hasn't been that much else...apart from the one year for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween when they had Sora as a character to meet, aswell as Donald and Goofy in their KH gear.
Couple of rare sightings of a figurine or 2 and the games being seen able to buy in the Japan section of Epcot.
Then there were the 2 KH pins that were being sold which aren't there anymore...and when Wreck-It Ralph and Vanellope were meetable characters, in the queuing you could hear tracks from games being played and you could hear Hikari at one point.

That's all of the things I remember so far...it is just the poster in Hollywood Studios that still remains.

I bought the Mickey in the Organization XIII coat pin from Downton Disney in Florida when I went last January, can't say if it's still there but I don't see why not.
