My thoughts exactly.

Still, I'm glad that they're at least making some sort of HD port (but I still haven't beaten either version of CoM; DAMN YOU NOMURA!). And I heard from a friend that only the cutscenes of Days will be included in the story. It seems believable enough, but a full-on port would still be amazing~

I'm disappointed to see that 358/2 Days is only getting Theater Mode released and not the game itself. Would have liked to have seen BBS in there somewhere also.

I don't think it's enough for me to have an HD version of only 2 games without any improvements on the gameplay (especially for the first game) and just HD movies of Theater Mode.

This is a rather cheap way to deliver for the fans, without actually delivering for the fans.

The only people who this benefits are those who no longer own their copy of Kingdom Hearts or those who've never played the series.

Well, that's kind of what I meant by no longer having a copy of KH.

It's still cruddy that only Theater Mode for 358/2 Days is in the collection. You don't get to actually play the game. Maybe one day, they will do such a thing, but I'm not holding my breath that they'll do it with any other non-PS2 game.

I'm so happy to hear there'll finally be an HD remake! :D Now I have even more reason to get a PS3. xD

As long as Square Enix decides to release it in English that is......But even if they don't I'll probably still buy it. I would still understand what was going on since it is a remake and we know the story already, unless they decided to add in some random plot twist, but I highly, highly, HIGHLY doubt they will do that.

But I am definitely looking forward to this game coming out!

My dislike for this is based solely on my opinion.
I knew that one day KH would find its way to a current gen console, and that's something I never wanted to happen.

I refuse to be a part of the current gen gaming aside from handhelds, as I absolutely hate what console gaming has become, and for KH to be a part of this is like a blow to the heart.

I can understand how this is good for people that like the ps3 and whatnot, or the people who arent able to play KH because they got rid of their ps2, but for me, who still has a ps2, I have no reason to like this.

My problems with the current gen have to do with two main things.
1) How everything has to be HD
2) trophies/achievements/whatever

As far as HD goes. I don't understand. There are so many beautiful games out there, that aren't in HD, and do not suffer in the least from it. In fact, I would venture to say that because they aren't HD, this adds a bit of charm to the game, and when compared to new games, makes them seem even more likable. KH looks fantastic as it is, and needs no updates whatsoever. I'm re-playing KH1 now, and even today I'm blown away at how fantastic the worlds are. To put KH in HD because that is whats "in" is like an insult. It doesn't need it, and for it to get this treatment is, in my opinion, unnecessary and takes away the charm of the old games. Another thing I hate about HD is that once something is in HD, suddenly everything not it HD is obsolete. I'm not saying that once this comes out no one will ever play the old games again, but considering they are on an older console, they certainly wont get the attention they deserve, but instead the attention will go to this newfangled pile of ****.
Also, this doesn't mean that just because something is new I hate it. If somethings original incarnation is in HD, that is fine, but to say that everything old needs to be remade into HD by virtue of it being old is ridiculous.

I hate trophies. It adds a social aspect to gaming, and dominates things that I would much rather be able to determine for myself. I'm the type of person who has to 100% complete everything on my own. I don't want the game telling me what I should get.

Again, I can see how this would be good for people who aren't opposed to these things, but for me, this is horrible.

I dont get this, will the Days game be on the PS3 or just remade in HD? (Either way i win since i have a 3DS and a PS3, but im just currious)
but, I do agree that the Cutscenes need to be tighted up,(I myself question how KHV got them in a better quality than displayed on DS itself...)

Only the cutscenes from Days are being remade in HD, not the actual game itself. They're going to be put in Theater Mode.

(It's likely because you could pretty much know the plot from the cutscenes, same with Coded).

Oh my goodness this is wonderful and so very wonderful and I am happy Square is at least doing something like this in light of their other recent efforts. These games certainly deserve to be remastered in a high definition format and they are going to look so very beautiful as they were meant to be. Though as said before, I would have enjoyed if a few other games were included, from the inclusion of the games in this package it would perhaps imply a second remaster bundle featuring the other games?

So we don't get a new Days game?
