Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix Annoucement "only for the Japanese market"

Sadly true, but it appears that localization for Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix has been announced that for only the Japan realease. This does, however have the ability to localise, so we will keep you informed if that changes.

Spencer’s note: During Tokyo Game Show, we asked Square Enix about Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix and if the game would be coming in 2013 too. A representative said the news is just for Japan. However, since the games are already localized and Kingdom Hearts is a strong series for Square Enix I think we’ll see this compilation appear in other regions.

Final Mixes: Multiple things go into play where it when considering if the costs are worth it to localize something to other markets. If you read my licensing topic in the gaming topic, you can see what hell it is when companies may want to release something. But outside of licensing there is just th inherent costs of translating new content and producing and distributing the new discs that may not be covered by the minority would who purchase FM.

1.5: There is nothing saying this Japan exclusive right now. All that was said here was this particular announcement of 1.5 was meant only for the Japanese market. Square will hold other PR things when they want to announce it for other regions.

Even if it's exclusive to Japan (i doubt it) there's just one game to my knowledge that has region restriction, so we should be fine playing it .. though it'll suck a bit not to have english menus... we do remember most of the gameplay to not be completely lost.
I think that Square lost a big oportunity in Ps3, If they showed previous interest in it, they could "end" the Remixes and just sell one game, and after launch DLCs .. the destribuction cost would be minimal and whoever want it would download it and pay for it.. they probably would make more money than in Cds as downloadable content has a limit o sharing and CD dont.

Read the part 'announcement', that means there's still a chance that it will come overseas, plus Disney said that they have new two games, one is Epic Mickey 2, and the other one is well... they didn't tell it, but they said that the second one will come out in 2013.

Just because it says like above, that doesn't mean Square Enix won't change their mind, considering how many Kingdom Hearts fans are out there.

I'm fine with Japan exclusive, but the menu and the subs are just too confusing to understand, I don't mind the gameplay though (aka O button to attack instead jump.)
