fully rendered scene, that was like the FIRST preview for the Kh: Days game DID NOT make an appearance in the game?!!! WTH?!!

This was the scene that made me think this game would be worth playing ;w; Square Enix how could you?!

They switched the scene to happen in TCTNW. It's uh... in the place you fight Xigbar in KH2, I believe.

That's really a surprise to you? Did you even see the first trailer for Kingdom Hearts? The game is so different from the trailer that it actually looks like a different storyline. So this wouldn't be a first-timer.

I was wondering that myself. I looked all over youtube for it.

Maybe you have to find EVERYTHING in the new game. Kind of like the secret ending in KH2 FM or KH2.

I don't think Square-Enix forgot to add it in? Perhaps someone can contact them?

    This right here ^^^
    I always thought that lol

Scenes get changed. Judging by the fact that you said it was one of the first previews, there is no doubt in mind that scene got trashed.
KH1 was supposed to have Disney Castle as a playable scene and it got trashed.
Days was supposed to have Pinnochio's world and it got trashed. this probably did too

Kind of stupid then to advertise it in trailers. Even though it has been in more than one trailer. It is an important part of the story and sums up that there is a traitor in the organization. I will just wait until someone can show actual proof of what happened to it. Unless it is an secret ending to 358/2 days to another game in the future?

Pinnochio's world? Ekk Monstro's world was enough to make me sick. I hated that boss in it.

Dude...they just didn't put the scene in the final game. That's it. It's nothing hard to explain, there is no mystery behind it. You take things out and you add things in when you make a final version of something, this is an example of taking something out. I'm pretty sure they have this scene already though...there was a scene with Axel and Saix that really reminds me of the one in the trailer, it was just in a different environment and I don't think the final scene was one of those good-looking ones. They may have been running low on space for the game so they made the cutscene look like one of those in-game kind. If it was important they would have kept it in there and just changed the environment and the graphics. There isn't a secret ending for 358/2 Days anyway.

    Are you serious right now?

You never know. There could be someone who has connections with Square-Enix on this forum for all we know. Yeah I am serious. They could add it for the people who have been waiting in America and Europe as a gift for having them wait so long. Square-Enix's company isn't just located in Japan they have one in America as well. If that is the case....They left a bunch of stuff unanswered anyway. It is stupid to advertise something and then not put it in. False advertising......I can understand trashing something that isn't done yet, but something fully rendered being trashed? Idiotic on their part.

Yeah there was another scene similar, except it was in game, but did that one got trashed too? Not totally convinced though until there is actual proof.

It happens all the time. I guarantee you 95% of all games have had scenes, characters, worlds, weapons, anything that was in production and scrapped before release. Movies do the same thing.

    Clearing up matters

The scene itself (as in the whole Saix telling Axel about the traiotrs) did play out in the game except they changed it to a simple short conversation that was just the normal in game graphics with a slightly altered script. I wish they'd left it as it was but oh well I'm guessing due to the amount of space limited to them they had to cut it ... I wish they'd stuck to the ps2 honestly ;w; not that I'm dissing the DS it's great but ... I feel like I've had a great book torn in two and left with only half a story

  12. Actually, I don't know where, but recently in a Nomura interview, I believe he admitted that some scenes were cut, and replaced with different scenes that reflect Xion's character like we haven't had enough of that forced sob story >.>. I guess that meant the Genie scene where Roxas is all "D:" met its end on top of the Axel and Saïx scene. And apparently some other worlds that we first thought Nintendo Power messed up in, but might have been taken out, and were not informed.

I doubt it was cut to reflect Xion's character, after all the scene had nothing to do with her in the first place. I'm blaming it mostly on the DS's capabilities and size restriction, the fact that they reduced an important scene from what was initially a full motion cut scene to an in game graphics skit furthers this...if they do make a final mix of this game I'm hoping like hell it gets a re-release onto the ps2 >.<

  14. Let me reinstate it. I meant that the cut scenes were taken away, and replaced with Xion scenes that reflect her character. Not that she had anything to do with those exact scenes precisely. It's word from even Nomura's own mouth that they definitely scrapped certain animation just so Xion can get her extra screen time. Yay? If he wanted that, and there was a size restriction, the only way to fit it is to take those predetermined scenes out, free the space, and substitute it with Xion galore.

Well I can assure you noone here has connections to square enix staff, only our reporters are able to get in touch with them and that is very difficult and rare.
And they didn't forget to put that scene -__- That was bs.

Are you serious and which ones were cut? I can't believe I am hearing this. She had enough screen time to begin with though. Nomura is really wierd to do that.

  18. Days was basically wasted entirely on Xion, some ill-fated newbie with a tragic destiny instead of already established characters that were asking for development. It's just damn sad that the only depth we get are in the Secret Reports instead of the actual game. Seriously. Just say that Xion was a mixture of Riku Replica's and KH2 Roxas's stories, and be done with it. Nomura is always weird like that. Hell, AXEL gets all the damn screen time, while the rest of the members are statues that never move forward. Days is, really, the RAX DS cart...and some other members here and there, meh. I detest favoritism and bias on a director's part. Or in any work. But that's another aspect for me to rant on. Either way, from what I'm aware of, the cut scenes taken out were:

    - The Roxas/Genie scene where he's all "D:" in the flying carpet.
    - The Axel/Saïx scene that started this topic.
    - The part where Xion jumped in to save Axel and Roxas from Heartless near the clock tower, and they were both glaring at her. Though, don't know if that counts since it's Xion in there anyway.

Maybe some other scenes were switched.

I agree with you fully on this, if the game had focused aorund Roxas and the organization it would have been a much more enjoyable game. Xion's story insert made absolutly no sense to me what so ever, it was almost literally line for line Roxas's story but drawn out over 300something days rather than 7 WTH?! I didn't mind that Axel got a bit of screen time, his actions and a few things he stated did bring a bit more depth some of the organization members non more so than Saix...and especially when you're in the common room XDD Xaldin's constant annoyance at Demyx for playing nothing but the same cord day in day out was priceless.

But yea I felt really let down by the lack of not being able to play as other organization members in story mode and at the lack of interaction with other organization members in general. I mean save Xigbar, Demyx and naturally Axel...occasionally Xaldin and rarely Luxord you get little to no interaction with them...the cutting of scenes just adds to the dis-satisfaction.

It's an okay game all in all but yea...Xion story relevant? I'm thinking not

I agree with some points of it. This kind of sad because I thought it was supposed to be focused on Roxas. It is disappointing in a way, but I hoped for more organization members's interaction. Perhaps in some kind of future game there is, or if someone discovers some kind of secret in the game that people might have missed. Especially those that don't interact that much. With Lexaeus's we get that he slaps Roxas and that is about it. I may not know what they say, but there must of been a reason for that.

The inteaction with Roxas and the carpet was actually in the game that I saw on youtube.

It is kind of interesting how you see certain people play the game and go right to Saix and not even bother to talk with other random members either standing around in the lobby or sitting on the lounge. I want to know what they are saying! OMG Xaldin gets annoyed with Demyx playing with his sitar. lol. I was surprised they didn't have Axel interact with Demyx or if they did I sure as hell didn't see it.....Disappointed. The only inteaction if any might only be mission mode.
I dont' mind how much screen time Axel gets. lol He was gone in 23-72 days so it is not like he was there all the time. I missed him when he was gone. The interesting thing is that Luxord is the Nomura's favorite organization character and you would think he would of had more inteaction with him at all. Xion sure got the spotlight.
