I'm in the market for a new pair of headphones because mine were washed destroyed by inexplicable and unavoidable means.

So, I need recommendations for a good, affordable replacement pair because I've been buying the same freaking skullcandy headphones for so long and have been looking with little luck for a good replacement pair for a long time.

My price range is $20 - $30, preferably on the lower end, and they must be ear-buds of the 'in-ear' variety.

This set is what I use.

Search for them elsewhere, though. I don't know why that seller is being a ripoff.

I use this pair back home, and while it's pretty expensive on logitech.com, you can get them cheaper, while still new, on amazon for almost $20 less. They're pretty good, and I use a beat up pair, so they're fairly resilient

I had a pair of sony's that I sent through the washer and dryer twice over their lifetime without consequence. They lasted 4 years and are no longer made. The closest successor would be these, but I have been using a pair of Beats my uncle gave me since so I can't really recommend anything.

I used to buy Skullcandy, but I read that they're not the best quality and they all break soon after purchase. I switched to these and they've been pretty good to me so far. It takes a while to adjust to the shape of the earbud but once you're used to it, you'll love it.

Yes, but both of those go inside your ear. Oh well, I know what you mean now.

If there's any other way to describe the latter I would like to know because "in-ear" sounds redundant and silly.

Personally, I use "hard" to refer to the former and "soft" for the latter.

Wow, a year. I never had the same pair of headphones longer than a month. I don't do anything to them they just stop working.

Yeah, color me impressed. They even came with a little baggie with a drawstring.
