Implemented KHV Podcast

Lets be honest the site need more original content. So a podcast might be a good idea so it makes the site seem more lively. It obviously doesn't need to be all about KH but rather about anything interesting, along with a listeners questions.

I remember we tried to get it started way back but it ended up going no-where due to a lack of commitment on some people's part. Why not try and get it started again.

 

This is the only reason I don't know if it could work or not. I'd help if I could. I know how to mix audio and score soundtracks, but that's all. It would be a cool concept.

To be honest, I think it is a good idea, but, it isn't as easy as just going HEY lets make a podcast.

For one thing you would have every member in the world wanting to be on it, which obviously isn't possible. Which then leads to people becoming bitter if they aren't chosen and other people are instead, which will then lead to people accusing of favouritism.

Plus, it would need someone actually seriously committed to run it, added to that, you would have to make sure that it was ran by a group of people who were actually interesting to listen to, otherwise it will be dull as heck.

Then of course you have the issue of everyone arguing over what should be discussed on it etc.

Plus, do you remember what happened last time we tried to do this? Skyler completely lost the plot and went half insane because it didn't save properly.

I would say it could be a great idea, but it is going to need a heck of a lot of thought put into it first.

Also, you'll have to make it mixed gender.

 

Again? I remember this was discussed two years ago or something. It would be interesting but with all the drama on this place i doubt if it would work.

You would have to find hosts, preferable 3-4 the minimum that would be on each show but i 'm not sure that members from here would show this level of commitment.

It would be interesting though. Good luck with that!

 

I really like the idea of a podcast, however we need to stress the idea of the members participating in the project, and how dedicated they would be in terms of putting an allocated amount of time and effort into the podcast itself (plus you have to check their history in case they do a ''runner'' or something). Its not as easy as it looks, I'll admit... Plus, like CtR said, there is the worry that if you choose someone, there will always be a minority/majority group which might rebel against them, giving certain people a form of 'favouritism'.

Another issue could be that some people may like the music playing, but others don't, so you may need to put up polls regarding genres people listen to (and maybe go by that?)

But if you get to find members who'll put most (if not all) their hard work into it, and if the podcast in turn is interesting... that's most of the work done, and it'll be awesome.

 

I know a lot of other fandom websites do this sort of thing but i don't actually know of a kingdom hearts one off of the top of my head. Could be a good idea. In response to the everyone wanting to be on it thing, you could have a thing like the Question Time thread. Every week, members wanting to be on the podcast post their names in a thread. Then, one random peson is chosen and that person gets to be a special guest on that week's show. That way it's fair and almost everyone will get a shot. There will, of course, have to be hosts etc, I reccomend 3 because it is a number whereby it isn;t just a two-way conversation and not everyone s trying to shout over eachother. Then there's have to be people to edit, post, advertise, transcribe the podcast etc, so I think almost everyone who wants to be envolved might have the chance to be.
