I have a really huge fear of members buying the site to be honest. Like seriously.

I forgot about the site's high traffic when making my last statement, so once again excuse my stupidity.

To be honest I would rather have a dedicated member who we know, then to have a stranger. At least then we know a little about them.

 

I think that would be a huge mistake to be honest.

There would already be a bias and assumptions. If a well known member became the owner of the site then it would cause elitism, exclusion, favouritism or making deliberate targets of people.

If it is someone new completely then everyone can start in the same place, we would have to prove ourselves to each other.

Perhaps i'm one of them? xD Don't worry, i wouldn't buy the site. I don't see it as a good investment.

 

No, I wasn't implying that about you, sorry if it came across that way. You'd be better than a lot of members.

It is just I have heard a lot of members discuss buying the place at various times, and the thought of it getting into their hands is not a thought I like.

It's nice of them thinking about buying it for the sake of the members, but having several people owning a site is not very practical. Like, some of the arguments we have in the spam zone over nothing, think what it'd be like if some of them owned the site. o__o

 

That is the problem though, some people want the site so that they can have control. It is all a power game and sadly nothing to do with wanting to help. Multiple owners is definitely a bad idea I agree xD There can be huge arguments when staff don't agree with one another, let alone if there was a group of people who owned the place.

Mhm, it'd probably kill the site in an inhumane way. And of course there would be the chance that someone intentionally kills the site out of spite. Most khv members lack the maturity to run a site this big. D:

I do actually know of someone who wants to buy the site so he can get his friends unbanned. It is that lack of maturity that we really do not need. A lot of members are immature as it is, without the new owner being of the same breed.

That is rather sad. Why pay so much money to buy a site so you could unban your pals? Wow! It's a site for goodness sake. xD It'd be complete chaos, and it'd cause a lot of members to leave. We can only hope.

I almost spat out my hot chocolate. xDD And the thought of replacing KH characters with Zelda one's did come to mind...
