358/2 Days KHIII - Official Sticky Topic

I say it probably won't take long:

2002 - Kingdom Hearts
2002 - Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix
2004 - Chain of Memories
2005 - Kingdom Hearts II (Japanese)
2006 - Kingdom Hearts II (English)
2007 - Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+
2008 - BBS, 358/2 Days, and Coded (Japanese)?
2009 - BBS, 358/2 Days, and Coded (English)?

My point is, they release a new KH game practically every year (KH:FM was released very late 2002, so we can say 2003). KH2 was only "delayed" because of CoM. I'm pretty sure KH3 will be out before the end of 2011 (at least in Japanese).

 

my guess is that the 3 new games will be out by end of '10 in america and late '09 in japan

but I do not think there will be a real "kingdom hearts 3"

my reasoning here is that they have made a music compilation that is called "kingdom hearts complete"

I'd say the 3rd installment of the series will be called something other than KHIII

 

I disagree. I think that KH3 :

1. Will be called KHIII
2. Will happen (we need to know what the 'nearth happened to be in that bottle (unless it is the coded thingy, which is supposed to make new things arise anyway))
3. Why only make two official games about the canon main character, no-one ever makes two, it's always one or three, rare occasions four but never two.
4. I just want a PS3 KH game ^_^.

I doubt its gonna be THAT many but it will be another few games I just think its not gonna be called KHIII thats a bit redundant

I aree I really hope they give it a subtitle if its gonna be KH3
but if its gonna be KHII I want one thing and one thing only as the subtitle KEYBLADE WAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

it’s possible that KHIII will appears because before KHII appears the game chain of memories and now after KHII appears this 3 games so it’s possible

 

knowing square, they will never just put the story to rest.

with final fantasy 7 they had the game

then it was a phenomenan

then they made games for the story of who all and who knows

movies

and nao
they go before the actual thing started

 

Nah, Nomura said that KH was just one story, unlike FF. Plus, he already said that he had "Sora's end in mind".

 

Yea but it will probably take a whole game to tie up all the loose ends. Look at X-2 that was because it wasn't a final happy ending to X.

 

Yeah i heard that Kingdom Hearts is Sora's story and it hasn't really ended (the letter in a bottle thing from king Mickey) so there should be another game but i doubt there making it now maybe Normura is thinking of a story for it but at the mo the KH team has there hands full with 3 KH hand held games and i think there the ones also making FF versus XIII (not sure corret me if i'm wrong)

 

I have a feeling that Nomura and his gang will come out with the third Kingdom Hearts installment. Birth By Sleep, 358/2 Days and Coded are fillers for the next "complete" game, like CoM was. They wouldn't really make those games and waste their time for nothing. Perhaps the events that happen in 358/2 Days or Birth By Sleep will have importance in the next game. As much as it does upset me, I have a feeling that the third full game will come out sometime in 2010, possibly 2011. They made a KH game every four years. Kingdom Hearts was made in 2002 (or came out, whichever). With KH: Chain of Memories following two years later, in 2004. Another two years later, we are blessed with Kingdom Hearts II. Now it's Birth By Sleep, 358/2 Days and Coded's turn. Wouldn't it only be fair if they came out in the same pattern?

By the way, I read an interview where Nomura stated that Kingdom Hearts is strictly Sora's story and that's it's definitely not over. Yay for more Sora!! Plus, we still don't know how Kairi became a Princess of Heart, what her past was and Destiny Islands' door still isn't locked. Sora has yet to seal that one. There has to be a third of the incredibly lovable series.

And like you said you never find out how Kairi became a princess. Because if you watch the kh1 cutscenes theres a lot of things that are suggesting about that.

Yes! Nomura did stated that the three games (BBS, Coded and 358/2 Days) were gonna explain somethings that are gonna heppen in the plot of KHIII.
