Kingdom Hearts II KHIII For The PS3? Hell No

Wow, first you <3 the wii, but then you say Xbox 360 will definetely win, even though you and I know, that Wii is winning by far. Over 1,000,000 copies of it sold already.

Anyway, I don't think there's a second option for SE. The wii would very difficult to use for Kingdom hearts. Especially with all the abilities of Sora, and the 2 buttons the Wii has, would be too few for it.

I'm sorry to say SE may be at a dead end. One option would be to sell it on both the PS2 and 3

 

Something tells me they wouldn't waste so much development. They wouldn't get enough money to compensate both games' development.

squar enix's games have been on ps2 or playstation its been teamed up with sony so whatever it goes on it would have to be something with sony so i think it would be on ps2 or ps3 or both.

 

not exactly, square-enix made final fantasy 3 and it's on the nintendo ds.

true, square is licenced to sony but under special circumstances they don't have to put it on a sony playstation console ( they had a meeting with nintendo about putting it on there because as of right now the PSP isn't doing so good )

KH3 could be fun on the Wii, but judging by the speed needed to swing the keyblade when attacking an enemy, the game's progress would need to be seriously slowed down. That means no more fancy combos and probably no party members either. Also, battles would be increasingly longer. We really don't want that now do we? It would be nice to have KH3 on X-Box 360, but given the series's obvious lean towards Sony systems, that is unlikely, but not impossible. I personally wouldn't be surprised if KH3 did indeed come out in PS3 format. With the PS3, Square Enix has many more opportunities to expand the Kingdom Hearts gameplay. I'm sure they would take advantage of the HD graphics, too. However, being a huge fan of the series, I really don't care what console it comes out on. I'll play it at a friend's house if I had to. :D

I hope it doesn't come out on the 360 'cos there is no way in hell I'll be buying one of those! If it comes out on the PS3, I will probably have to wait a decade to play it, because I have better things to spend my limited money on. I have a Wii and I love it, and think it would be fun to play KH on it, but I honestly think the best (as well as most plausible) choice would be to stick with the PS2.

ok ok i was too lazy to read pgs 2-3 so I'm just going to state my opinion

if kh3 came out on ps3 or xbox360 I am buying one of those and putting a reserve on kh3 asap. That is how fan-girlish I am ^_^ but personally I would like to see it on wii because kh is a little cartoonish and doesn't really need xbox or ps graphics. That is my opinion kill me if u want.

 

Well Kingdom Hearts has been a game for the Playstation (minus CoM there was no Sony handheld at the time) It will never appear on the 360, the 360 has Mistwalker for RPG's not SE. The Wii is likely, it is fast selling, KH and the Wii both appeal to more than casual gamers, it would make sense and it would make the game far more innvative. And the PS3, well that would also make sense. KH3 won't be here for ages, and the PS3 is here for the long term, give it a few years and the PS3 will be much more popular, no doubt about it, don't doubt the popularity of the PS3.

For the console wars debate, it is hard to tell who is going to win, all stand a good chance, Wii for it's gameplay and innovation, 360 for online cabablities and is for the hardcore gamer, and the PS3 for being a sheer monster in power and strong gaming titles.

 

People aren't going to buy a PS3 just for KH3.

Same goes for KHIII for the Wii. I, along with many others don't have a Wii, and don't want one.

For those who didn't want a Wii, but would like KHIII, they'd be buying one just for that game.

 

Meh. Wii + KH3 could be just as distasterous as it can be successful.

For one, the Wii has a mechanism that is hard to use and can get VERY frustrating. And also, the gameplay could screw up on that end. No one wants to literally swing a Wiimote as a keyblade, it's just not original nor fun. And having it so interactive can result in tacky game-play and story.

I'm not saying it's a bad idea, I'm just saying SE would have to deal with a lot to make it.

I'd have to want it on the PS3. BUT because of it's horrible price point, I don't want it on there. But if I had a choice or if I had a PS3, I'd say. . .hell, PS3 it is.

Well, as info I have found it somewhere that Square and Disney has apparently promised the next KH title to nintendo. Whether this is CoM II is yet to be seen, but I have a feeling that it will be KH3 on the Wii. I think that square would treat the game with respect and not just throw some tacky game play to slightly utilize the wii mote. If they couldn't utilize it properly, I believe they would do what brawl is going to do: Use the Gamecube controller. I think that KH isn't known for its stellar graphics, so that isn't a worry. Overall, I think the Wii would be the best choice from price point, and the fact people are buying it like crazy (I can't find one T_T)

I agree. The PS3 is very expensive. And many turn to the Wii/XBOX 360 for entertainment 'cause the thing costs so much. It would be a better idea to put it on the P3 later on, when the PS3 is much cheaper.

 

I say the only three reasons PS3s aren't selling that much are 1) the price is unheard of, 2) games for it haven't taken the interest of many gamers (including me), and 3) there just aren't enough in stock. There are plenty of Wiis on stock everywhere, which was a very smart thing of Nintendo to do; make a buttload of Wiis before they started selling.

Honestly, I think KHIII would SAVE the PS3. More people would buy it just for that particular game. Either that, or the FF7 remake--if that ever happens...

 

Well you have to consider the time periods.


In..let's say...7-8 years, KH3 will release, and the PS3 will be moderately lower priced, meaning chances of release on THAT as WELL as the Wii would be more ideal.

But that's just a little speculation. xP
