KH3D $50 on Amazon?

Okay really weird stuff going on. I went on Amazon because I wanted to replace my KH3D since a friend lost mine. For some reason it's $50. I remember getting the game and I never remember it being that much. On Gamestop's site it's not even being sold anymore (but the price tag is still $30 not 50). That's really strange especially since just 2 or 3 weeks ago it was being sold- even using store locator it says no stores are selling it? Anyone have any idea on what's going on?

I don't think she'd be making this thread if the person who lost it was reliable enough or even able to replace it in the first place.

 

I mean it sounds to me like they stopped printing it and the stock finally ran out? Amazon even has a notification that their stock is low, without any mention that they expect more. If I recall right they usually list it when they expect to get more stock, so that seems to imply there won't be more.

 

Yeah this sort of stuff happens all the time, from what I've seen at least. It just comes down to how much you want it and if you think it is worth the extra coin.

If the situation is not particularly pressing, KH3D probably could get a reissue/reprint at some point in time, assuming it sold well to begin with. This is a supply and demand thing so if the publisher sees fit to introduce more supply then the price will go back down.
KH3D came out in 2012 though so I dunno if that's happened before already or not. It's a waiting game.

 

I hope it will. I'm going to wait awhile and see what happens. Hopefully it gets a reprint or something.

Love Kingdom Hearts a lot. Don't really wanna spend $50 after already spending however much the Mark of Mastery edition was.

 

Looks like it's sold by a third party company through Amazon so that would explain it.

 

Meantime I would call around to local game stores and see if anyone has it. They don't always push up prices in local markets to the same extent online retailers do. Or try eBay?

It's a low print game for a system that at the time wasn't very popular is now in high demand because it has a sequel coming out and it's now expensive? Man, if I had a nickel
