Im sorry, i could not find a very approprate topic to post this in, i read this on IGN and this seems very good, Its more like a what they should/not do in making KH3 http://ps3.ign.com/articles/100/1008582p1.html and the art renditions of the enemies are freakin awesome

that person needs to shut up. because they need to not have another time skip and pick up where kh2 ened.
I agree and disgaree about some aspects. They shouldn't have another time skip. But I do agree about the gameplay and a more mature storyline. Now it shouldn't be completely adult, but I'd like to see more character devlopment. And they should get rid of the live-action movie worlds. Tron looked okay, but it seemed weird to be with Captain Jack and stuff. They should also add some Pixar worlds and also newer worlds in general, because KHII was mosly just revisiting older worlds with only a few new worlds thrown in. Keep the old worlds, so the stories in those worlds progress, but many more new ones so that it remains fresh. Also, I do agree with the article about how the world's own stories interfeered with the main plot of Sora and his friends. What happens in the worlds should directly link with what happens in the main plot, and use the story in the individual world to advance the main story, not just go through each world, short scene somewhat related to main plot, next world, etc, etc.
I actually agree with a decent amount. I think there should be a time skip. I think it should skip ahead 3 years. Mainly cause I wanna see Sora as an adult but still a teenager and I also think it'll be good considering Sora was 14 in 2002, and 15 in 2006. If this game doesnt come out for another 3-4 years, I think they should skip ahead and make things more mature cause a majority of the audience has increased in age by a good 6 years. Just like Harry Potter. The books were getting darker and darker with each one. JK Rowling was keeping up with her audience and was letting the book grow with them. Now earlier posts have said that KH3 needs to start where KH2 left off. Why? There wasnt really a cliffhanger besides the letter that King Mickey sent. Sora was on the island, with his friends. Give Sora a good break, and have him get back to fighting in a couple years. But I think they should keep the battle system the same. I dont want them to change it up like a Devil May Cry game like the guy said. Even if it is just an option, then it wouldnt really feel like KH to me. But I do think it should be a bit harder. I think Standard mode should be easy mode. Proud mode should be standard mode. And prode mode should be a challenging mode. Not like Critical mode in FM. That was really hard, but it was mainly hard cause your HP was cut in half and the enemies did a lot of damage. They should make a mode where all the items, health, etc.., stays the same, but your attacks do less and enemies do more damage. Then throw in a critical mode. Cause skipping from proud mode to critical is like playing Devil May Cry on easy and skipping to Dante Must Die mode. lol I think they should improve on the battle system. Like the reaction commands. They where extremely fun, but too easy. They time to hit them should be cut in half or even shorter, and they should be more random. I also loved the Drive forms. They where awesome especially when you learned how to fully master them. I hated Wisdom form at first. But then started loving it once I realized to stock up on ethers and spam a lot of magic. IT works wonders. lol Anyway, all this is just my opinion. No matter how KH3 turns out, I'll love it. haha
Can I just say, that I completely disagree with this. It's almost offensive to me to read it. The mix in of Tron and POTC was one of my favorite parts of KHII. I hope they stick with adding new live action movies to Kingdom Hearts.
Do you know what else I think needs to improve in Kingdom Hearts III? Graphics. Sure, I know KH2's graphics were really quite impressive, but the graphics should be more cinematic in KH3. They should also input more FMVs, and not just leave it at an intro and ending FMV. The graphics should resemble FFXIII's graphics.
I wont worry much about the graphics, Im sure theyre going to be breath taking no matter what console it would be on.
Square always goes for top-notch graphics, but Kingdom Hearts just doesn't look as shiny as the Final Fantasy series because it has a cartoon-like style. I'd love it if it looked as gorgeous as FFXIII, but somehow I think that would ruin that art style. Hopefully they can pull off both... We'll just have to wait and see. It also depends on what console it ends up on.
The graphics of course will be a lot better than the previous games', not only because it is the PS3 we're talking about but also because each new KH game being released has better graphics than the previous one.
I agree with almost everything they said. o.o=b I really do hope for more "mature" changes to the future Kingdom Hearts games but I believe that it should still have that "I'm a kid again" feeling when meeting up with Disney characters in their worlds. But perhaps since the Final Fantasy characters have more deeper persona, maybe we can stick in the mature and meaningful morals when encountering them (aka, more FF characters in bigger roles). But then again, this is Disney we are talking about; they will most likely restrain S-E from doing a lot to their movies and characters (I've heard that S-E wanted to do a crossover of some the Disney worlds but Disney rejected the idea) so we might not get some of the significant changes as to what role they would play within the next installment. So overall, yes to having a deeper, meaningful, yet playful and kid-friendly game for KH3.
Really? I did hear that there was a lot of changes and disagreements during production. It would be wierd seeing some Characters with others (Besides Mickey, Donald, and Goofy) but it would have been interesting to link different characters/worlds/movies together. Aladdin and Hercules together? THe Lion King with Winnie the Pooh? I would like to have seen something like that
I agree with everything said here, but i think there should be a mode above critical. This game should no longer be for children even if it is disney. We need this game to go at least teen or i would be happy if it was mature. What i want to see if a different aspect such as a change in story. Example would be seeing all the disney characters together fighting as one to take down the main enemy. Like having sora,Jack, and beast fighting together. That story would amaze me. I think that the reactions were way too easy but to make them harder they might wanna think about a sequence of buttons u have to press like XOOX (triangle) or even make them hold it down for a certain amount of time. At the moment im trying to think of a reason to change story plot. I want sora to have to finish his journey with donald and goofy and actually as im thinking about it i believe Sora, Riku and Kairi should start their own journey. Im not sure the exact journey but i want them to do one themselves. (Maybe Xehenort comes to the present or ven gets transported and a whole new story with roxas unfolds) I dunno, but these are all ideas. What I know is that I have the japanese nds Kingdom HEarts game but i will wait for the english to more enjoy it. And further to that I look forward to BBS. These are things i know. When you thiknk about it theres only one secret after playing these games... the note mickey leaves at kh2 end. All the games that come before the actual KH3 game comes out are answering questions to the series. This final part of the series has to end the story or continue like ign into doom :P. There won't be a great ending if it continues. THis game really has to blow ppl away. BTW if there is to be more games to come I believe it would be a different series. I'd be happy to see sora move to a more adult field and fight along side more mature characters (killing wise). Maybe hes finished with the keyblade and moves on to help fight evil in new M rated worlds :P. Imagine Sora and Dante taking on Vergil (his brother) and Rikku. WOW. I wrote a lot... ill end it here this is just my view on things so tell me what you think I'm open to anything. O YEA ANTHING BUT THAT STUPID CARD SYSTEM. WORST SYSTEM EVER. I hated that game chain of memories. but i loves the cutscenes so i had to play it..... :)
