    SINCE IT'S ACTIALLY REAL NOW

What do you want to see in the gameplay? Do you want gameplay features from past games (command board, flowmotion, cards, etc.) or do you have a new idea altogether?

I thought about this last night and have a couple things I'd like to see so far:

Multiplayer: Run similar to the Mirage Arena and multiplayer of Days. Lets you play as any of the characters you can have in your party (KAIRI PLEASE) and you can duke it out in fights or do co-op objectives. Or maybe a grand scale Keyblade War free for all.

Kairi Gameplay (Party Member): I literally don't even have thoughts about her fighting style I just want her to get in the fray and kick some Xehass.

Adding on to the multiplayer, having a type of multiplayer as 3 (or however many party members) players playing the story together, or at least open world(s). I think it's be pretty cool.

From the trailer it looks like Flowmotion will be returning, which I am excited about. I didn't get to play Dream Drop Distance so I'd love to give it a try.

I also liked that Sora seemed to be attacked by a horde of Heartless--I'd love to have more enemies on-screen (facilitated by the PS4 being a beast) because it's a great opportunity for certain attacks and abilities to shine (like Flowmotion and certain Reaction Commands).

On that note, I'd love for Reaction Commands to return. They provided a rather cinematic element to the gameplay and just made things generally fun.

I don't have strong feelings about multiplayer either way.

Co-op (including offline), Drive or something similar (anyone else notice that "EX" gauge? could be it), and the ability to choose your party and playable character at any point of the game.

If there is multiplayer, I hope you can play with friends against bosses and heartless/nobodies/unversed in something like the Mirage Arena and you can choose to be any of the following: Sora, Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Axel, Xion, Terra, Ventus, Aqua, Mickey, Donald, and Goofy. And also I think a PVP would be cool, and a free roam type mode.

    EDIT:

Also, as stated above, I think co-op offline AND online would be awesome.

And maybe something like drive, like, we go into drive mode, and instead of different colored clothes, we get Keyblade armor(birth by sleep)? I like that would be kind of cool. I'd be okay with regular drive too though. Also, be able to have Riku/Mickey/etc in your party instead of Donald and Goofy. Or maybe even a four person party if you wanted? That COULD be too OP, but I feel this is going to be more difficult and there will be FAR MORE enemies in the areas, and possibly while boss fights, there will be nobodies/heartless/unversed around as well?

I just hope the implement skills/advanced magics from BBS and whatnot like they implemented Limit Form's limits on 2FM, as in, give them their own menu like magics have and make them comsume MP.

    Things I'd like to see:
    • Flowmotion
    • Deck system, ala BBS/3D/Re:Coded
    • A reason for why Drives can't be used if they aren't ("My magic clothes are broke ;~;")

Pretty sure next-gen consoles are all locked at 30 FPS. Sorry Krowley. BUT YOU CAN DREAM.

    Honestly, in terms of gameplay, I just don't want KH2's button mashing combat to return. Mash X and press triangle occasionally to win doesn't sit well with me. Other than that, I just want to play as Roxas and Terra one more time. ...Or more than once. ; ;

Since Donald and Goofy are going to be with Sora, I'd love to see the Drive Forms return and maybe be revamped/ more added
I'd also love to see Flowmotion as everyone has said before as well as the deck system
As for Mulitplayer I don't really care as much since I never have anyone to play with anyway XD

Things that I want KHIII to have:
    1. Flowmotion - Since something similar to it without the flashy effects is shown in the trailer.
    2. Drive Forms - Since the original party system is returning to KHIII, I don't see why they wouldn't add Drive forms back.
    3. Summons/D-Links - I'm really not sure which of the two is returning. But since they're not using the BBS/Coded/DDD Command Decks, they might bring back the summons.
    4. Command Menu - The KHI/KHII one. It's shown at the trailer so there's a high possibility that they're sticking to it.
    5. Reaction Commands - These make most of the boss battles even more awesome. And I just hope that you REALLY have to press the triangle button at the right moment just to make it work unlike in KHII.

Oh dear god, I just remembered KH2 didn't have dodge roll.
GIVE ME DODGE ROLL SQUARE. DON'T PULL NONE OF THAT ONLY IN FM BULLSH.

Also, since it's now apparent that Riku and Mickey will be off doing their own thing again(totally didn't see that coming.) I think that we should be able to play as Riku with Mickey in his party.

    WOAH THOUGHT PROCESSING.

WHAT IF IN RIKU'S PARTY, KAIRI WAS A MEMBER ALONG WITH MICKEY..

I wouldn't like it actually, but I can maybe see that happening. I'd rather just have Riku with Mickey though.

OR MAYBE AXEL WILL BE IN RIKU'S PARTY DJKFHSDFKSHFF

I'd like that very much :'D Axel + Riku = badass.

Also, I REALLY want to play as Roxas c: Like, dual wield Roxas, where his key's aren't constantly out, and he can actually block and do magic and you can change his key's and such. I think playing as Roxas and having Axel in your party would be awesome, although I said having Axel in Riku's would be cool too, but yeah xD And I think a mixed KH2 + BBS/DDD combat system would be cool. But a little more KH2 than BBS/DDD. Maybe they could do something like the MP in KH2? Where you put certain moves in the shortcut menu and you can do them like that, or it can have it's own slot in the command menu where more moves would be. Like make L2 the shortcut menu for those moves, and keep L1 for magic. I think that would be really cool. I don't remember L2 being used for anything anyways, so why not. And then they could do the BBS thing, so if you were to use a certain move in the shortcut menu, and then you go to use it again, just seconds later, it would be cooling down so you can't spam the move I guess. I don't know, seems kind of cool in my opinion, and would please the people who liked the KH2 fighting system, and it would please those who liked the BBS/DDD fighting system. I personally like both so I'd really like it. I highly doubt they will think of that though.

A lot of people would like to see essentially a modern, upgraded version of the KH1 and KH2 battle system that's what makes the console games specific and unique while adding in key attributes that have been developed in the midst of the reign of handheld titles. This is probably what'll happen.

There's really a few key things to be pondered on the core of the fight system in KH3:

    Magic/Abilities:
This one is the biggie. In KH 1 & 2, it was simple, but general. You had a list of abilities/magic that you unlocked through the course of the game, you equipped which of those you wanted, end of story. With the developments made in the handheld series though, there is the possibility of much more advanced and customized abilities and magics. You could completely customize your fighting style by the time 3D came out, be it if you were a slow, heavy hitter, a nimble speed demon, or someone who plays is safe from as far away as possible based on the abilities you chose to put in your deck. I want to see this incorporated into the console fight system without making the magic list on the command menu ten feet long or making it limited to certain situations against certain enemies like the reaction commands against heartless in KH2. Maybe specialty abilities could be purchased and/or created and then equipped to be used in a combo-type system. Maybe if you use a base magic attack via the magic short-cut in the midst of that combo, it can result in an advanced magic combo. Say that you have an ability equipped that allows fira to ignite the foe. You use the aerial slam ability on an inflamed foe and it explodes when it hits the ground, doing aoe fire damage. If that concept doesn't work maybe do like some other action games and have a button that, when held, does high profile attacks that can be pre-equipped. For example, that enemy is up in the air and pressing attack follows up with an aerial swing, but holding L2 and pressing square activates time splicer or ragnarok. Essentially, it's like the previously stated idea of having a separate shortcut menu for abilities, however, instead of having a preset menu of only four attacks, what the buttons do depend on the abilities you have equipped, how much mp you have, and the status of your character in relation to your foe (i.e. ground vs air, range, remaining hp, etc.) That way, advanced magics and abilities can be incorporated into the base fighting system, button mashers can still easily play by just mashing attack and jumping around with mobility attacks while skilled players can integrate abilities into a highly customized playing experience, and the mp bar can be reserved for cures, base magic attacks like firaga, powerful attacks like ragnarok/breakers/ars arcanum, and maybe even, wait for it, summons. Speaking of which--

    Summons:
Nomura mentioned that the summon system will return but due to the experiments in handheld systems will be completely different. I think this means they're going to attempt combining the classic summoning system with the d-link system. How they'll do that, I'm not quite sure. But I bet it'll be interesting. Even better: Summons aren't limited to Disney characters. As you go along the story finding/freeing key characters, (Ven, Aqua, Roxas), you can either summon them or link their abilities. Whether this will use the mp bar or have a separate bar/point system I dunno. But with the hp, mp, and drive bars we already have a decent amount of bars. We don't want it to get clunky. Maybe as you get so many summon points, you can use mp to summon Disney and KH characters, bringing them into the battle and having combo and limit attacks with them like in KH2.

    Flowmotion:
Without a doubt this will be added. It's just too awesome not to be. And it's clearly been made apparent that they have a fetish for mobility, what with the talk of ride-able enemies. The real question is how they can expand upon it. I think the simplest, coolest, and most efficient way to incorporate the mobility system would be to meld it with the KH2 style of leveling up your mobility via drive forms. That way, you can still get all the awesome perks of dashing off of walls and drilling/slamming into enemies without it all being just handed to you on a silver platter at the start of the game like in 3D. With the new developments on the equipping of abilities, you could even be more customized with how you the player likes to move through the game.

    Reaction Commands:
Sure, they were cool in KH2 in comparison to KH1, but with all the other awesome new features they don't really compare. If anything, maybe a Resident Evil 6 type thing were you have to press certain buttons or button combinations at just the right time to get that heavy damage boost or awesome finisher. Not just the triangle buttons on certain occasions. That's it on my spiel.

    Other:
Most everything else can just be pulled from KH2 what with party members and what not. Anything else I think of concerning a specific system I'd love to share.
Btw, this is all totally theoretical. I just thought this kinda thing would be frikkin' awesome.
