Hello podcast listeners and welcome to the first Trivia Tournament.​

What is the Trivia Tournament?

This is a special, trial podcast theme, where a series of podcast focus around the concept of KH trivia. Here members can test their wits against the rest of the KHV community to find out just who is the fastest thinking Kingdom Hearts fan this side of Disney Castle!​

This is the sign up thread, separate from the podcast sign up thread (but not affected by it) so if you want to take part you’ll have to post here showing interest in participating, even if you've posted in that thread.​

You have the chance to win yourself some great prizes, ranging from the digital to the physical. We’ll have custom made sigs and wallpapers along with custom user titles with the grand prize being a bundle of Kingdom Hearts goodies!​

All participants shall receive our Trivia Tournament Participant pin and an original signature image.​

Semi finalists will receive all previously listed prizes plus two original KH signature images, an KH original desktop wallpaper and a custom user title.​

The Grand prize winner will receive all previously listed prizes plus an exclusive pin exclusive for the grand winner, an exclusive custom signature image and a piece of Kingdom Hearts merchandise, up to a worth of $40! That means you could even win yourself a pre order copy of Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMix!​

Specific prizes and prize details can change if we are unable to create or procure funding for them. Money towards merchandise provided by our lovely members donating to the site! We only have these awesome prizes because of your support, please continue to do so!​

So, I need YOU to do your service and join up, Keyblade wielders!​

Basics

Participants will be placed in competition brackets, either against 1 other participant (so a master and 2 contestants) or against 2 other participants (so a quiz master and 3 contestants) per podcast. This will depend completely on the amount of people partaking, however participants will be informed what format we use when the final numbers have been established.​

Matches will take place like the first KHV Trivia, where you will ‘buzz in’ after the quiz master has asked a question. First to buzz in gets to answer first. If the contestant gets it right, they get a point. If they get it wrong, I’ll open up the buzzer again for the other participant to buzz in till someone gets it right or if no one gets it right, we move on from that question and no one wins any points. Shame on you. First to a certain number of points wins, the amount of points will change per match, with more required the further the competition goes.​

The winner of each match will move on to the next heat of the competition, whilst the losers will be given our special participation pin and sent off to The World That Never Was. Bye bye! : P​

After all other competitors have been eliminated, we’ll have our grand winner!​

This sign up thread will be open for a week from the date of posting, so the closing date will be on 16th July.​

Actual podcasts shall take place between late July and throughout August and watch will be published as soon as possible when recorded. As a courtesy to me, please do not disclose who the winner and losers of your podcast were till after said podcast has been released.​

ALSO!

Now, since this will be A LOT of people doing different podcasts, it will mean me taking on more podcasts as well as a more managerial role (but will be lessened by fellow staff helpers, I hope! ; D), so the main podcasts shall be affected and may be delayed for a time, but that depends on a number of things, I’ll update you more in the future if this happens.​

I will be harsh to people who are not able to take part in these Trivia podcasts. Usually I am flexible and allow people off for not being organised or not ready till the last minute, but I have to put a line down for this series, since there are a lot of you and my free time is only so long. I’ve warned you.​

So you had better read up on the rules of the regular podcasts application, have a Skype account and have a good microphones quality with the free time to do record. All the basic podcast rules apply and if you need to learn more how a Trivia match will work out listen to Podcast Episode #26 for a reminder.​

Anyway, with all that done, please join guys, you’ll have fun and you get to show off how much of a Kingdom Hearts nerd you are! : P​

Ohoho, I've been waiting for this! I like the thought of there being a physical prize for the overall winner, and all the other goodies are getting me really excited.

I need to boost my ego so I will be signing up to participate.

Really though, count me in.

 

As long as I'm not busy on the day I participate, I'm in!

 

I'm sure that won't be an issue. This would probably work like any other podcast in terms of scheduling (the participants agree on a date and time when they're all free).

 

It will highly depend on my availability as a host, or the willingness of hosting volunteers from non participant Staff.
At best, someone will take over if I can't make it on said days, at worst we'll just have to delay it further than I would've liked.

I'll contact you all once the sign ups have closed and i've arranged how many weeks it will take and how many participants will take part.
