After quite a few rejected applications, I think I'll skip applying this time around. Still, good luck to everyone else. Can't wait to see some new colors around here~

 

Isn't it better to try and fail than to not try at all? I'm still trying even with all the times I've failed, just because I'm persistent, and they will eventually be drawn in by my lovely, impossible-to-place accent (ok, that has nothing to do with it, but it's a plus to hear people wonder where I'm from)

 

Difference is: I'm not persistent lol. There's also the fact that I don't spend nearly as much time on the site as I used to (several hours a day is now a few hours a week).

 

I don't think I'll be submitting an application this time around. As I already moderate on another site, I'd like to give someone else the opportunity. I wish everyone good luck on their applications.

 

I debated sending in an application purely because I've been a Normal member for so long I almost feel like it's expected of me.

My thirst for power won so I sent in an app.
I'm serious about the chocolate.

It's completely your choice :3 I will say that the reason we like to see people reapply is because people change and when they last applied they may have just not been quite there yet but people develop and change, the amount of times we've thought "not this time round, but it will be nice to see them apply next time" over my years on staff is quite high. I wasn't even considered until my third time applying, the first rejections hit me hard and I nearly didn't apply the third time because I feared that rejection but I am very glad I did. Anyway, completely your choice, I'm not trying to persuade you or force you into something you don't want just saying never give up hope- this goes for everyone.

Also, thank you to everyone who has currently applied, SO MUCH READING : D and some brilliant applications being sent in. Keep them coming, our bodies are so ready >:3

 

I KNOW RIGHT!? Where you guys trying to kill yourself with reading-overload when you decided to have us do the applications this way???

 

Yeah, this is why we need so many new staff members, the current ones keep dying from all the reading >:3

I do remember the first big staff hiring I was involved in, I spent well over 7 hours reading and responding to all the apps sent in. By the end of the day my brain was melting xD I enjoyed it though :3

 

Well, this is a forum. There's enough reading to be done on a regular basis, and I'd imagine that recovering from this much of it takes a while.

Why else do you think hiring rounds have such a gab between 'em?

 

I just figured the gap was caused by everyone hung over from all the drinking to put down the pain of the reading from all the applications the first time around
