Anyone familiar with IRC?

Bored in my basement, so much that I made an IRC channel on the Rizon Network. Come join me if you want, lol.

Hmm.. it actually requires you to download a program.

Some forums I used to go on would solve this by placing a java chat applet that uses IRC on the actual site, but since this one doesn't, you'd have to download a third party program.

If you're interested, google "Sysreset". It's a simple extract and run program, just how to join the channel can be a little more complicated, but I obviously have time to make a small tut.

 

Yeah, unless you have Opera. Which I believe has built in IRC.

Well, Alice made a good point. The Opera internet browser has IRC built in, I went to check it out myself. It's a lot easier (although if you don't really use Opera to browse, then it's kinda the same as downloading a third-party program anyway)

It's quite an easy walkthrough if you needed any help with setting it up.

This is pointless. We already have MSN, practically everyone, do chats there. This is just really pointless.

Especially since you have to download it, MSN is already on your computer.

 

You don't have to download it, you can go to the site. PLus it means you don't have to give everyone your msn.

 

But with MSN you can have more friends, yay!

 

But i don't want to have to invite lots of people. Plus at least this way i can talk to them without people randomly saying stupid things to me.
